D & R CONSTRUCTION

It started out great when I first met Dan from D&R Construction at the house where he was getting the work scope of what we needed done. I immediately trusted him after he shared that he was a Christian and how transparent he seemed after he shared about a traumatic event that their family had gone through a few years back. He also said that they had 25 years of experience in the industry. Then one thing after another happened. His son, who said he was a supervisor, could hardly answer any questions I had regarding the work scope. Him and his other buddy would smoke in the house, which was unprofessional. Dan Sr. was hardly ever around at the worksite to make sure things were being done properly. There was wallpaper in parts of the house and wood paneling, all which I along with a couple of friends removed. D$R was suppose to prep the walls, including drywalling and mudding. I began to remove the wallpaper glue in the main bathroom because I knew that's what you're suppose to do. If you don't have a clean surface, you'd be wasting that paint. One of the other workers told me that they would do that. Wrong. They didn't remove that wallpaper glue at all, they painted right over it so now it is cracking and peeling. Several walls in the home where drywall job is bad along with other places where they decided not to clean but just paint over the dirt and dust. They were told that we would be reusing all the fixtures in the house..they painted over those too! Including light switches and outlets. They even painted the toilet paper holder! I did give Dan Sr crap about that. I'm like, who does that. He said it was a minor thing. Like, why couldn't they have just taped around it? The next day, they took the painted toilet paper holders out and replaced them with new ones. Wow. The grout on the tile floor that was installed is already cracking and breaking and we recently just found out that the wrong size cement board was used under all the tiles. Our garage doors were delayed in being delivered and installed because they were a "special" size. 25 years of experience should tell you that when you bid on a job, you measure everything because you don't want to assume. They trimmed the bottoms of the doors in the house because of the new carpet that got installed. They didn't even bother to sand them down, instead they would get caught on the carpet and start to peel off. They have been paid for their work or whatever you want to call it. The only thing that turned out right is the installment of the new roof because Dan Sr. and his son actually didn't do it themselves. I won't recommend them to anyone. Ever.

I HAVE TRIED TO HAVE HIM COME OUT TO LOOK AT THIS AND REPLACE IT, BUT HE SAYS IT IS NOT HIS FAULT. IT IS OBVIOUS THAT THE WINDOW IS DEFECTIVE. HE IS NOT A GOOD WORKER. HE HAS DONE OTHER WORK WHICH WAS NOT DONE VERY WELL.

STARTED PERFORMING SATISFACTORY MAINTENANCE AND RENTAL KNOCKOUTS SEVERAL YEARS BACK AT REASONABLE PRICES AND ALWAYS TO OUR SCHEDULE. HAVE BECOME INCONSISTENT WITH PRICING AND QUALITY IN THE PAST TWO YEARS. MORE RECENT WORK HAS ALWAYS REQUIRED ME CALLING HIM BACK TO CORRECT REPAIRS. I HAVE HAD UNPROFESSIONAL ENCOUNTERS WITH HIS EMPLOYEES.
