Description of Work: Replaced light sensor and broken light bulb outside and tightened telephone and outlet in sunroom; how, gouged the wall with his drill and was not very apologetic. I said that I could fix it by filling in the hole and painting it. He was a nice young men and very polite.

Description of Work: I bought the big deal through Angie's List. The techs did not have the correct hardware to correct the breaker box per our buyer's inspector. They replaced the screws but with yet another type of improper screws. The other small things they did were adequate. I got half of the time I paid for since two men came. I ended up having to have them come back, but they charged me for the return trip and second look at the box since I had them address one additional issue.

I expected to have to pay more than the $75.00 to cover the wiring, but I am new to town and was in need of a reputable electrical company. When the service provider contacted me, she was very short with me. She explained that I would need to seek a refund from Angie's List, and that she would contact "Tom" to give me an estimate for the wiring and installation. I don't know if "Tom" is another employee at Whites Electrical LLC or if it's her brother-in-law! I'm still waiting for his call...

Description of Work: Whites electrical were called after the recent storm. Some electrical outlets were not working and I wanted to have any electical damage to the house assessed. They quoted $1975 for the replacement of the left electrical panel and $450 for a whole house inspection. As this was quite expensive I called Frye's electric. They inspected the panel and found in fact that it did not need to be replaced. They reset the power for the non working electrical outlets and there was no charge.

Description of Work: Individual checked main circuit board and advised me that it needed be replaced, at a significant cost. It was a major safety hazard if left as it was. I told my son about it, and he drove down from Munster to check it out. According to his assessment, it was just fine. He also thought that the estimate I'd been given to have 2 lines put into the garage for appliances seemed unreasonably high.He thought the remaining estimates to add ground fault protection to some existing outlets were probably fine. I've not followed through with any of the work.

Description of Work: Wonderful! From scheduler, to bidder, to electricians and to drywaller - excellent. I had a bathroom with no electrical outlet. The bidding process and quoting took about 15 minutes. The actual job with 2 electricians to cut hole, place gfi dedicated circuit, run wire through attic down to breaker box on other side of the house took about an hour. They were clean, efficient, and overall quiet. The job required a small hole be cut above breaker box which included in my quote to fix, slacker, tape, and sand the area smooth. Also included would have been to re paint the small area if I had the matching paint. The drywall work was done by a sub contractor that Whites Electric uses who I had to schedule and pay separately.

Description of Work: It was a good experience - it is not ever day that something you need done cost less than you expected. I made the order on Tuesday evening for the electrical panel upgrade. Whites electrical call me at 8:30 and we scheduled an appointment for 4:00. He looked at the box and told us that we did not need a new box and made a recommendation that would save us $500. They are doing the work next Tuesday.

They called very quickly to set up an appointment. When we told them about the work that we wanted done, they said it would be an extra $150 for scaffolding. We thought that was too much for just scaffolding and think it could be done with a long ladder.
