+ -1 moreIt went well. Mike arrived on time and finished the replacement in about one hour. He adjusted the torsion on the springs and checked the rollers. He also showed us all of the controls on the new opener.

+ -1 moreWe purchased a new garage door opener from a home improvement store. They have an installation service for a fee, which was regular $129.00 on sale for $79.00. They must sub it out, because Barry showed up at our door. My 21 year old daughter was home, when I was leaving to run errands. They gave us a service time between 1 pm and 3 pm. I asked her to handle it since it was all paid for, etc. I just got to the post office and received a call from Barri on my cell. He informed me that many custom homes require an extension kit for 8 feet, rather than the typical 7 foot. I asked if he had a kit in his truck, he apologized that he did not. I then had a BRILLIANT idea! Can you get busy with something else for 1/2 hour and I'll be back with extension kit in hand. Even better, he said he would go ahead and get lunch instead. I was thrilled not to have to reschedule, etc.
