Goodnight's Tree Service

This is the third time I have used Goodnights. They did a wonderful job. It was a ton of work, but they got it all done in one day. They answered all my questions prior to doing the job and there were no surprises. They are also just very nice people to deal with. I highly recommend them.

They showed up on time and we established a plan of how they were going to work at cutting the trees down and where to move equipment. They did a terrific job in a timely manner at a fair price. We will call them again if we need trees removed. Very knowledgeable about all trees and their condition. They cleaned up so well you wouldn't know we had the trees cut down the same day. They truly go out of their way to give customer service.

We used Goodnight’s Tree Service on two occasions, very satisfied. We had some trees removed on a property to build a house and live 150 miles away from the property. Darin and Becky were so pleasant to work with and went beyond our expectation to meet our needs. They were very price competitive but I would have gladly paid more to get their high level of quality service. They arrived and finished when they said they would and after the job was completed we hardly could tell they were there. I normally don’t write reviews but I was so impressed with Goodnight’s Tree Service and their professionalism that I felt they earned and deserve a review. I would highly recommend them and if needed I will use them again.

Darin, Becky & Brad came 17th. They worked steadily making quick progress until a hose blew on the Bob Cat (I would call it Jaws:) The hose had been replaced that morning incorrectly. Darin called the Co. and they came out, repaired it.. Darin is amazing in the use of all their equipment... the Bob Cat, Chain Saw, & Bucket truck & Chipper. .Becky is a dynamo, a right with him every step of the way...Brad was called away to head to the hospital for the impending birth of his baby, which left Darin & Becky to finish the job...They worked through removing the piles, getting the Ash down to the very large trunk by dark...They came back yesterday to finish the job. Darin placed the chips behind the hedge area for easy spreading and to use on flower beds..I was out working on the beds so got to watch much of the project to completion... Rejoicing over a job well done!!

We were very pleased with their work. They are very knowledgeable and gave us great advise on how to care for our other trees. Plus, they did an excellent job of reassuring my son who was very concerned about the trees being cut. Will definitely use them again.

A very competent and professional company. The work was completed in a timely manner and no debris of any kind was left on my property. Any concerns or questions I had were courteously and promptly addressed.

Darin came out on time and was pleasant and detailed. We requested a quote for grinding out some stumps, to landscaping a small section in front of our bay window and to possibly trim all the bushes in our yard. They gave us a price to grind out the stumps on the spot and were told that we would receive the rest of the quote within 24 to 48 hours. I agreed with Darin that the price for the stumps was agreeable and asked to get on the schedule for that part of the project right now. We were told that we would receive the rest of the quote within 24 to 48 hours. Now a month later we still have not had the stumps in our yard removed and we have never received the rest of the quote requested. It is disappointing since we are repeat customers.

When they left you could not tell they had been there. Super job!

Darin personally oversaw and worked alongside his crew for two very long days removing these eight dead trees. He and his crew were very professional and courteous at all times. He was very attentive and very detailed in explaining what work he was going to perform as well as how he was going to do it. He was also very prompt in returning all phone messages that we left. His office staff was also very professional and courteous on the phone. Darin gave us a very fair estimate on the cost of removal of the trees. My wife and I knew that it was going to be quite expensive considering the scope of the job as well as the location of the trees. One extremely large tree was located near our house and a second extremely large tree was located near our out-building. We knew that it would not be possible to get a bucket truck to remove them and that they would have to be climbed and taken down by hand. The other trees were more accessible, but nevertheless also large and they were located near our septic field which concerned us. Darin reassured us that he would be able to take these trees down without damaging the septic system and he was absolutely correct. We were originally told by Darin that it might be a week before he would have time to get to us, but instead it worked out that he was able to get us scheduled to do the work two days after we agreed on the estimate. This was very much appreciated by us. We both work during the day and could not oversee the work directly, but this turned out to be no concern at all for us as Darin and his crew worked diligently throughout the day and into the waning remnants of daylight to complete the job. It took two full days for them to complete the work. Everything was done exactly as promised on the estimate. There were no additional "hidden fees" or "add-ons" to the estimate (which was refreshing as I have had some surprises over the years from other tree removal companies that underestimated the work involved). All debris was removed from the yard (they did an exceptional job with this) including all the tiniest of little sticks. The driveway was swept and clean. I was just amazed at the quality of the work. The stumps were ground out and all the shavings were removed. Darin told us that he would re-fill the stump holes with topsoil and re-seed the area with grass for an additional small fee which was well worth it considering all the labor involved. (I would highly recommend this service- it is a time saver.) Overall, we were very pleased with the work. We have lived on heavily wooded properties our entire lives, and we have had the need for many dead trees to be removed from these residences over the years. Although we have had positive experiences with many tree removal companies, I would have to rank Goodnight's Tree Service as the best experience that we have had. We would not hesitate to use them again, and we would not hesitate to recommend them to our friends.

My husband and I have used Goodnight's Tree Service in the past and had a very positive experience, so we thought we'd give them another try. We moved to a different location in Mooresville, IN in April this year. The property had been empty for many months, and the yard needed a lot of attention. As with our first experience, Darin was very informative. None of the trees had bloomed yet since it was early in the season, and he walked all around the house and identified the trees on our property and offered advice on caring for them in the future. We had two river birch trees in the front yard which were planted too close together, and one of them was leaning precariously toward our house. We had the leaning tree removed since it would eventualy weaken the other healthier river birch tree plus pose a threat to our house if it fell. On the day of the job, the staff was prompt, courteous, professional and conscientious of protecting our yard. They cleaned up the mess to the point that no one would know what extensive work we had done (other than the property looking much, much better). My husband and I love giving local companies our business, and we definitely have a "tree guy" for life with Goodnight's Tree Service. I would highly recommend them for any job, large or small.

We lost several large trees to the drought and lightning strikes the past two years. Goodnight's Tree Service gave us an estimate that was very reasonable. They removed trees in a fence line, our backyard and a small space between the neighbor's driveway and our fence. Several of the old pine trees were leaning into one of the fences. They were on time, professional and completed the job in one day. They didn't damage anything in bringing down the trees and cleaned up afterward. They picked up the brush and raked the yard where they worked. We have used several different tree services in the past (we have lived here for 36 years) and Goodnight's Tree Service was the best!

He was very knowledgeable and provided the quote right away. He took his time and made sure all my questions were answered.

They were VERY prompt about calling back and coming out to the site to quote. They were willing to work with my schedule and provide a reasonable quote and time frame for the work to be completed. They even sent me a photo to my phone of the completed work (It was a rental house that was selling so it saved me a trip to verify myself prior to closing). All work was completed without any problems or concerns.

It was a very arduous time because there was a danger that the big tree would fall. They came when they said they would and did a good job. They sawed the wood up into fireplace lengths, and we split it ourselves. We live in the country. We have a wonderful piece of property that is about six acres in area. It is hard to find the place, and it is sometimes hard to find people to come out here this far. The driving time to get here is probably no longer than the driving time to get to Noblesville from Indianapolis. I got two estimates, and the other estimate was way high compared to what they quoted for the work. They have done work for me in the past too. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

We got estimate's from 3 tree company's for this job. Goodnight's was in the middle range of quotes. What we agreed on was to cut down and remove all, plus cut 2 small stumps to ground level. They arrived to due the job, they got a flat tire on a piece of their equipment that they decided was our fault and we should be responsible for replacing their tire. I assume this is were the problems started. They did not complete the service's they agreed on. They cut down 3 large tree's that were to be cut to ground level, we were left with 3 huge stumps standing 5 foot and huge sections of those tree's, left over a hill with the brush included. Some of this mess on neighbor's property. This mess require's equipment to be brought in to clean up and finish their job. They never did cut the other 2 small stumps to ground level as was on the contract nor complete the services they were to complete as per the contract agreed on. They were not willing to resolve this issue. I would not reccomend using Goodnight's Tree Service and will never use them in the furture. I'm considering Small Claims court. Also on Angie's list this company states they give a discount if you choose them but Darrin the owner said he couldn't honor that discount.

They are a member of the National Arboreal Association and they are just wonderful. They know how to trim trees right and how much they should take off. They’ve been pretty knowledgeable, efficient, reasonable and pleasant. I had actually called them a couple of weeks ago, and they said that they had some problems with the trimming of my tree this time around. They called me right back, and said that they had to get a special tool to trim my tree. They are nice, good and appreciative people. I think it was Mrs. Goodnight who admired the cutting that I had planted, and because I was so very happy with them I gave her a little potted plant off my porch. She was very enthusiastic about that.

Excellent! Darren is a such a nice guy and his team is great too. They're hard workers but very nice and always ready to answer any question. This was a really great experience. We had several tree services out to give us estimates. Goodnight's wasn't the cheapest or the most, just in the middle, but I got a really good feeling about using them. My neighbor highly recommended them and I'm glad we used them! It ended up taking them a while to get out to do the job after I called and said that I was ready to have it done, that is my only complaint, and I know with all the storms that they have had a lot to do. They did a wonderful clean up job, not a twig in the whole yard! We highly recommend them and will definitely use them again! I'm sure we'll see lots of them also because all my neighbors watched their work and are ready to use them! THANKS!!!

He is very knowledgeable. He can tell you when you need to cut the tree. It is a family run company. They are very professional while they work. They were very reasonable.

Their price was reasonable but someone else's was similar and the other company would do more work, so I'm going to go with the other company. I know someone who had a good experience with Goodnight's and so I will call them in the future if I need more work done.

They did a really good job. When they came to give me an estimate, the gentleman who came gave me a lot a good advice about my other trees.

I wasn't home when this work was performed, but my wife tells me that these guys worked very hard when they were at our house. They got this work done in a little over three hours and were very careful not to mess up our yard. I could not even tell that they'd even been in my yard when I got home that afternoon. I would use them again any day.
