+ -1 moreJerry's Appliance is the lead service provider for the extended warranty I purchased from HH Gregg. Immediately after scheduling the service through the warranty company, I received a confirmation call from Jerry's Appliance. The person confirming the scheduled service was very professional. The day of the service, I received a call from the technician (Joe) in advance of his arrival. Upon his arrival, Joe thoroughly assessed the washer and determined the water pump needed replacement. He ordered the part and I received an email confirmation of the order that same day. I received the part within two days as well as a call from Jerry's Appliance (within minutes of the part arriving) to schedule the follow-up service. When Joe arrived to replace the pump, he again was very professional, skilled, efficient, and left the place clean. The washer runs great! I've experienced a number of service companies and technicians. Jerry's Appliance and Joe have exceeded all expectations and are in a class of their own.
Description of Work: Assessed problem with LG washer, ordered new water pump, replaced the old pump.

+ -1 morevery well! I realized that my refrigerator was not cooling on Friday and I contacted my Home Warranty company who then sent a technician from Jerry's out. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. My dog even liked him :) I would definitely recommend them!

+ -1 moreNice repairmen but the office people are very hard to deal with and not responsive.
Description of Work: Freezer was icing up. Did some maintenance and in about a month, it was frozen up again. The guy didn't come because of snow. Had to call back and reschedule which they should have done. Came out again and "fixed" it at no charge. Froze up again and they came out a third time to fix it at no charge. We keep asking if a part is needed and they say no. While they do not charge for return visits, it is getting annoying. Today, I called because our front load washer died and the door won't open. I called and asked it they would please suggest a way to egt into the unit and they refused. The will only send someone out and charge for it and not suggest a way to get into the washer. So, the firdge is freezing up again and I am sure they will come out for free, but will charge a fee to come out an get into my washer, that I am going to throw away. Maybe that is how they jsutify "free" return trips. So, while the workman was nice, the problem is recurring and they are hard to deal with and not professional (by calling us to reschedule when it snowed. We had to call them back even thoough they cancelled the appointment)

+ -1 moreVery well - we learned more about the machine than we could get out of the instruction manual.
Description of Work: My Electrolux dishwasher had a musty moldy smell and I found mold around the bottom of the machine and in the discharge drain tube. After running a cycle using bleach - the smell still existed. I was out of town, so my husband was here when the service man arrived. He thoroughly inspected the machine and asked questions about how we use the machine. My husband explained that we only run the machine maybe 2-3 times/week. He explained that there usually some water that doesn't get completely pumped out after each wash, and that was part of the problem. We had been using the gel paks and he told us we should only use powdered dishwashing detergent as well as a rinse aid. He also suggested that we invest in a water softener. And,. once a month we should run a cycle with a cup of 5% white vinegar in the upper rack.

+ -1 moreThere is not much to tell. The tech (Dave?) was here 15 minutes to diagnose the problem and when he came back he was only here 15 minutes to install it.
Description of Work: Our dishwasher quit working and I placed a service call to have it repaired. When the tech showed up he had the problem diagnosed in 15 minutes and if he had had the part on his truck the dishwasher would have been repaired that quickly. Instead the part had to be ordered which was OK since I didn't expect him to have every possible part with him. He ordered the part as I watched and returned in 3 working days to install it. Problem fixed and the dishwasher is back up and running.

The service person called to tell me he was on the way, and showed up when I expected him to. He gave me all of the information about the repair and let me make the final decision. The price wasn't bad. I would recommend.

Description of Work: They were great with me. My situation was pretty simple. My clothes dryer stopped heating up. They came out and looked at the dryer and determined that it needed a new thermostat. They ordered the part and came back out a few days later to install it and the dryer has been fine since.

+ -1 moreJerry's was recommended by the manufacturer. The tech (can't remember his name) was friendly and efficient. Had to order and pay for the motor ahead of time, and then he returned about a week later after the part came in. After he arrived and had spent a little time in the kitchen, he called me in and told me that the motor wasn't bad after all, and it turned out that the fan blade nut was stripped. So he took back the motor and their office sent me a $73 refund check within 2 weeks. I was impressed with his honesty, as he could have easily just replaced the motor and I wouldn't have known any different.
Description of Work: Repaired 2-year old gas range (convection fan).

The technician showed up and quickly diagnosed the problem, retrieved the part and repaired the washer. It was great to have the problem fixed with one trip instead of having to wait on a part to be ordered.

+ -1 moreI couldn't have asked for a better experience. They were quick to solve the problem. The technician listened to the problem that I described. Since my refrigerator was repaired previously for the exact same problem, the technician replaced the thermostat in about 20 minutes and my refrigerator started working correctly again. Another big name appliance repair company attempted to repair the same issue multiple times about 3 years ago. All because they wouldn't listen to the problem I described. It was nice to have my refrigerator repaired the right the first time.
Description of Work: Jerry's Appliance Repair came to fix my refrigerator after it quit cooling on the refrigerator side but was cooling fine on the freezer side. It was repaired under my extended warranty, so it didn't cost me anything.

+ -1 moreThe service call was $75 and with parts it was a total of $133.31. The guy was knowledgeable, pleasant and efficient. I didn't have any complaints. He definitely knew what was going on and he was able to fix my problem promptly. I didn't compare his prices. They were not giving it away but the price seemed fair and I didn't feel it was a rip off. I would certainly consider using them again.

Description of Work: The repairman replaced a mother board that contained the fuse that had blown on our refrigerator while we where out of town for an extended period of time. He came the next day and had the part to repair. The part was shipped to us two days. The repairman came right out the next day to put the part in.It was covered under warranty by H.H. Gregg as we had purchased on extended warranty. This was the second repair tot he refrigerator, but first time for Jerry's Repair Appliance. I would highly recommend this appliance repair service.

+ -1 moreThe guy who came out first put the new part in but forgot to plug it back in. He told me that I needed a new master board. I told him that I wanted to think about it because it was going to cost about half of a new washing machine. I realized after he left that it wasn't plugged in, so I plugged it in. I had told him that I wouldn't pay for the part if I needed a mother board for the machine, so I sent him home with it. I called them back and told them what happened. I offered to pay for the part and the original labor without any additional labor. They agreed to do that. They put the part in, and I haven't had any problems since. I appreciated that he was willing to do that. I have used them a number of times. I've never had problems with them except for that, and he rectified that. I would recommend them to anybody. I have never had complaints about what they charged me. I have always been happy with their service.

That was very helpful because it will save me money the next time. They were very professional; after looking at a few things the serviceman knew what the problem was.

+ -1 moreTook a couple of days to get Jerry's to get us in on the schedule, but the work only took about 15 minutes and everything was working just fine after that. Easy to work with and will use again. Tech is Kevin. Have used him before and he is a really nice guy to work with.

+ -1 moreSuddenly we found out our refrigerator was no longer cooling anything....in fact everything was thawed and hot despite that the refrigerator still had the lights on etc. Jerry's Appliance Repair was referred to us by HHGregg, which is where we bought our Whirlpool refrigerator 2 years ago(after having our last refrigerator for 29 years). The technician called to confirm, called as he was enroute so that I could leave work. He thought we had lost the compressor which would have been an expensive endeavor. He called Whirlpool who suggested that on rare occasions it would be the starter relay. He put on a new relay and the refrigerator fired right up!! Even though he said his experience showed that it was never the relay, he was willing to give it a try. To have a new compressor could be as expensive as buying a new refrigerator yet he was able to fix this problem for $188. We were delighted with the service, he stayed to make sure it was continuing to run, and suggested we wait 48 hours before adding food. We will certainly use them again!
