I have an extended warranty on my washer through Lowes. On Monday Lowes said Jerrys had an opening on Thursday 1-4 and it was booked. 2 days later I called Jerrys and they blamed it on Lowes saying they didn't have an opening for 13 more days! I thought this was odd. Plus, this is the 2nd time this has happened to me. I also have a home warranty on my new home and needed a dishwasher repair. It was scheduled with Jerrys. They cancelled on me because they didn't have anyone to come out. Customer service and communication seems quite weak here.
Description of Work: Jerrys was scheduled to repair my washer.

I contacted Jerry's on Monday to schedule an in-warranty Frigidaire appliance repair (and lt; 3 months old). The earliest they could get me on the schedule was for Friday. I have re-arranged my work schedule to be available that morning in a 4-hour window. They called me on Wednesday morning at 10:30 AM. They had a last-minute opening but were unwilling to tell me for what time, just that I would get a call before 5 PM. I informed them I wouldn't likely be available and to keep my Friday appointment. I got a call at 4:30 PM: and quot;I'm on my way to look at your fridge.and quot; I was, indeed, not available, and I again asked them to keep my Friday appointment. I got another call today. Because of the false start on Wednesday, they have CANCELLED the Friday appointment for which I have re-arranged my work day to accommodate. I'm now left in the position of further aggravating my boss to ask for more last-minute leniency to accommodate Jerry's schedule change or to go without a fridge. Because it is warranty repair work and I have already missed scheduling opportunities with the few other available shops, I'm going to have to stick with Jerry's for the repair work. $100 worth of spoiled food and an aggravated boss later, I am obviously very unhappy. I hope they make things right but I am not holding my breath. Regardless, I will update as I am able.
Description of Work: Jerry's cancelled my appointment three days after making it and after I had already arranged last-minute plans with my work. They say it isn't cancelled -- just rescheduled. Big load of different that verbiage makes for me.

The dryer quit. We paid them $200+ up front to replace the motherboard. They put it in within a week. The dryer started making weird noises and then popped. The repair men said the wire harness was out. We paid to have that replaced. Now they say the part is on back order and have been not refunded since 07/13/14.
Description of Work: They made repairs of the dryer.

Terrible. This company does not place value on the time and arrangements their customers make to be here. Seriously, I made my appointment less than 24 hours ago and because I did not pick up my phone they just moved on to the next customer and left the city for another location. How about actually drive to my home and knock on the door? I did my part and when I called the business was told I didn't pick up the phone so they skipped the call. I told them someone would be here, the only explanation "it wasn't written down" is not good enough.
Description of Work: I made an appointment YESTERDAY for a service call today. Made arrangements for my elderly father to sit here and wait. I was on a conference call when they called to "confirm" and appointment made less than 24 hours ago. When I did not pick up the phone they skipped the service call-that's it, simply skipped a service call. I made and kept my word to have someone here, too bad they do not have the same values. I called the business, they ant to repeat this process on another day. I asked to speak to the owner, was told he wasn't in and probably would not take any action to improve their service. Very sad as I have used them before, recommended them to others and must now find another appliance repair service.

They came looked at it but then I had to wait like ten days to get the part. They weren't real quick. He did okay. The reason I went with them I have a Bosch washer and not everyone works on those. He was the closest one in the area that would work on my appliance.

Jerry's appliance appointment was set up through our lowe's appliance protection plan. We've had issues with our refrigerator a few times and used Jerry's 4 times now for different issues. Every time the technician knew the issue within minutes and ordered the right parts. I was amazed how fast a refrigerator can be taken apart, fixed, and back together. The only issues I had were they give 6 or 8 hour appointment windows but the technician called 20 minutes before arriving and was ok with waiting a few minutes if I had ran an errand.
Description of Work: Jerry's appliance appointment was set up through our lowe's appliance protection plan. Refrigerator has had multiple ice maker parts replaced, defroster hole repaired, and an entire door replaced as it started rusting under the paint. 4 visits for our fridge with a total of 9 different problems with it! Luckily lowes covered everything

Jerry's Appliance Repair will tell you what they're going to do and how much will it cost. They do what they say. They won't do things they don't need to do. They'll do exactly what they told you. They're very cooperative and professional. Price is reasonable, not overly priced nor cheap.

My experience with Jerry's Appliance Repair was absolutely terrible, as you'll discover if you read this incredibly long review. There used to be a show that had characters named Daryl, his brother Daryl, and his other brother Daryl. I believe they are employed by Jerry's Appliance Repair. WEEK ONE - When our washing machine broke, we called the extended warranty company, who then gave our repair to Jerry's. They came out and looked at the washing machine. And when I say looked, I mean they literally looked. He did not take anything apart or do any type of machine exploration. He looked at the machine, diagnosed what needed to be fixed, and ordered the parts. He told us that the parts would be shipped directly to us within a week, to arrive by next Friday. WEEK TWO - Six days have gone by and we were short one part. I called Jerry's and they informed me we needed to reschedule the appointment. I asked if we could keep our original appointment because UPS had not yet come and the part might arrive that day and also put us on the schedule for Monday just in case. I was told no, they couldn't do this. In fact, in the short time I took to think about taking the Monday appointment, we are talking about a minute or two tops, Monday somehow filled up and we were bumped to the following Thursday. The guy on the phone is rude and short, so I have no choice but to take the Thursday appointment. WEEK THREE - The next week I get a call from Jerry's on Wednesday morning, the day before our scheduled appointment, saying they see the part has not arrived so we need to reschedule the appointment. I told them that our UPS did not come until the afternoon at our home so could we keep the appointment for the next day just in case the part came that day and reschedule, if needed, later that day. Again, I was told no. They reschedule us for the next Tuesday. Of course the part did come that day, but they had already bumped us to the following Tuesday. WEEK FOUR - Tuesday comes and the "repair man," I use this term loosely, comes out. He starts working on the machine and low and behold we are told that we need yet another part....seriously. He informs us that he "assumed" that nothing else would be broken but he now needed to order this new part. And he goes on to tell us that he is told by the people at the main office at Jerry's that this part may not exist. So what to do? The next day, Wednesday, I get a UPS package with a part. It's the mystery part that may not exist but was somehow ordered , found, and arrived overnight. So with the part physically in my hand I call Jerry's. They answer the phone and I say who I am. The guy on the phone tells me they are waiting on a part and that they will call me when it arrived. The guy starts to hang up and I start yelling "Whoa, whoa." He comes back on and I tell him I'm holding the part. He mumbles and bumbles around. I read him the part number and ask if this is the correct part. He says yes, so we're ready to get the unit fixed. Foolishly I thought, after all the nonsense we've been through, that they'd put us at the top of the repair list, meaning they'd be able to come out the next day or Friday to finally fix our machine. Of course I was wrong, They tell me that the earliest they can get there is on Monday of the following week. I get upset, but there's nothing I can do. I am told that they will arrive between 8 and noon. About two hours later I get a call from the fine folks at Jerry's and am told that it won't be between 8 and 12 but it will be some time on Monday. So I think fine, Monday will be the day...of course I was wrong. I get a call on Friday telling me that they can't make it out on Monday and that we will have to be rescheduled for Wednesday. I blow up, of course, what would you do? Of course they don't budge and there's nothing I can actually do. So i ask if they are certain they have all the parts and that all the parts are correct....I am told yes. WEEK FIVE - Wednesday comes. The "repair man" from Jerry's arrives. I, unfortunately, could not be at the home but my wife is. I told her before I left that I didn't think they'd be able to fix the machine that something else would be wrong. And, of course, I was right. Now a normal person would think the mystery part that was ordered would be the wrong part. It was not. Actually the wrong part was one of the first parts that arrived...the "repair man" failed to note the serial number of our machine, which is kind of like a VIN number on a car. When you enter in the machine serial number it will tell you the part numbers for that unit. Our "repair man" ordered a part based on, well I'm not sure, but whatever he ordered originally was wrong. Meaning we had the wrong main part in the very first shipment. Why he didn't catch this, I don't know. This review is not a spam review, it is a factual review of events that have taken place. I finally got the warranty company to just cut us a check so we can purchase a new washing machine. The people on the phone at Jerry's were not friendly, were not knowledgeable, and were not helpful. The repair process was a joke, as you have read. I have learned that a machines serial number is kind of like a VIN number on a car. If you use that number you will know which parts will work, and which ones won't. Why they did not use the serial number to begin with is beyond my comprehension. My advice, avoid this company at all costs. If you are a Lowes customer with a warranty plan, you'll have no choice because this is the company they'll send out.. And i feel for you poor people. I can only hope you don't have the experience we did.

We have a Whirpool dishwasher that we purchased through Lowe's on 4/18/2011. We purchased the extended warranty. Our dishwasher needed a new control panel. We called Lowe's on 2/26/2014. They scheduled Jerry's Appliance Repair to come out on 3/1/2014 between the hours of 8 to noon. He showed up around 11:00. The repairman giggled the door and said, and quot;Yeah, you need a new control panel.and quot; That was after we had told him our suspicions. He said that he would have to order the part. Go figure. Anyway, they ordered the part and it was received by them yesterday. They wrote me an email stating that the part was in and to call them to schedule an appointment. When I called they stated that next Friday (3/13/2014) was the first available date. I told them that we were not available but asked if they could come on 3/14/2014. They said that they don't work on Saturdays. That's funny seeing that they came out this last Saturday, six days ago. Very rude company. What do you want to bet that if it was not a warranty repair but a new repair they would come right out? I called Lowe's stating that 2 1/2 weeks was ridiculous to get a dishwasher that was less than 3 years old repaired. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!! I know that I will have to wait longer on my repair, but I had Lowe's schedule another repair company to come out and start this whole process over. I hope Lowe's listens to customer complaints about this company. I will never have them in my house again!!!!!!

We were told by Whirlpool to replace our existing unit, but they unfortunately did not have a unit of the same size to fit our built in. They came back and told us to put another one in that would cost $500.00, but our insurance declined the upgraded microwave because it was not and quot;economically feasibleand quot;. We went back to Jerry’s Appliance Repair to let them know that insurance was not going to go through with the new microwave installation. We asked them what they thought it would cost to repair our existing microwave and they gave us a bid of about $500.00. When the guy came out to start the repairs, he let us know that not all of the parts in our microwave were bad and told us that he could do it for a lot less. In total we paid $288.31 for the repair. We thank Jerry's Appliance Repair for being so honest, completing the repair in a timely manner and for being pleasant in our home. We will definitely use them again.

Service was scheduled through Lowe's and Frigidaire to service a front loading clothes washer within the one year manufacturer's warranty. The machine appeared to have a leak, was excessively loud, and out of balance during spin cycles. This was noted on the original ticket written on 1/31/14. When the and quot;techand quot; team actually arrived on 2/11, they reviewed the machine and said they would have to order a belt and door seal, having brought no repair items on this first visit. I was told to expect up to two weeks for the parts to come be available. Within a couple of days, I received a call to schedule a return visit as the parts were available. This made wonder how the parts had been made available so soon, almost as if they had been available for the first visit just not brought by the tech. The second visit was schedule for a week out, for today 2/20 in the a.m. This morning, I received a call that the tech was sick and they had to cancel all his appointments. They offered to schedule another visit for the 25th, almost another week and 25 days from the original call for warranty work. I explained that this was unacceptable and requested a sooner visit. It was as if the person on the phone was deaf, she acted she didn't even hear me by not giving any response or acknowledgement to what I had said. I had to constantly repeat myself to get through to her that another week was unacceptable. After repeating that that was the next available time to me, she placed me on hold to talk to her supervisor. Her supervisor told her to relate to me that that was indeed the next time available. I asked to speak with said supervisor and was initially told she was unavailable and would have to call me back. I told her that she had just spoken with her, so I knew she was available, either in the room or on the telephone. I was placed on hold again before another person picked up. I explained again the fact that another week was unacceptable, as having to do laundry out was costly and inconvenient. I asked for either a sooner appointment or to be reimbursed for the money spent and that would be spent because of their delays. I was told that she would be hanging up the phone as I was being uncooperative. I could not believe she had the nerve to say that about me. She said she would call back the next day to schedule for the 25th or call Frigidaire to say they could not complete the work. I found this to be extremely unhelpful. Unfortunately, Jerry's of Mitchell, Indiana appears to be the only Frigidaire service tech that services either the east side or all of Indianapolis. It also appears that one person of a two man tech team can cancel the entire day for this shop located 1 1/2 hours from Indianapolis. Having brought no equipment on the initial visit to repair the complaints, and with the rapid availability of those parts thereafter, I wonder if they plan on each visit actually having to be two or more visits, coming from 80 miles away. Jerry's did not have the proper people in place for this call. As they canceled the entire day's service because one of at least two techs called off, I know I am not the only person inconvenienced by their apparent lack of personnel.
Description of Work: Its more about what the provider DIDN'T do than what they did. They didn't schedule a service call for 11 days after getting the original call. They don't appear to have more than one tech working at a time, even though when the tech did visit, "he" was actually "they", a two person team. They didn't bring the appropriate parts to address the problem as described in the initial call almost two weeks prior, making a return visit necessary.

Our dryer broke on 12/27/13. It stopped heating. We have a warranty through Lowes and called them. They scheduled us for service on 12/30/13. The time slot was all day from 8am-5pm. An all day time slot is not manageable for anyone who works. The tech came out and said that the thermal cutoff needed to be replaced but he would have to order the part. He did indicate that due to the upcoming holiday it may take a couple extra days. The company called on 1/3/14 and scheduled the next appointment for 1/7/14. That appointment had to be rescheduled due to the massive snow storm that we received on 1/5/14. They rescheduled the appointment for 1/10/14. I took the entire day off again because it was an all day time slot of 8am-5pm. At about 11:30am I received a phone call from the company stating that the tech said the roads were too bad and he could not get to our house. I had been watching the news and looked outside and was very confused, as it was sunny and 40 degrees outside. The roads were clear other than the side roads but they were more than passable. The female that I was speaking to said that they follow what the tech says. I asked if another tech could come out as I can't take any more time off work to deal with this. She said no. I asked to speak to the tech and was told that she can't do that. Then I asked to speak to the supervisor. She put me on hold and after several minutes returned to the phone and said that there was nothing that they could do except schedule it for their next available time on Monday, 1/13/14 again from 8am-5pm. I didn't have a choice because we needed the dryer fixed, however I could not take any more time off so I have to have my partner's mother come to our house from an hour away to be here. I realized that the number the female called from was a Mitchell, IN number which is well over an hour south of Indianapolis. I found an Indianapolis phone number for the company and spoke to a male. I explained the situation and he said that they follow what the tech says. I asked to speak to the owner as it appeared online that this was a small company. He stated that the owner was not there. I asked for his email or phone number in order to contact him about the inadequate service and was told that and quot;the owner doesn't speak to customers.and quot; I couldn't believe that the owner of a small company who would typically get his business from word of mouth would not speak to customers. The tech did show up on 1/13/14 and fixed the thermal cutoff. The dryer was again working. The dryer stopped heating again 2 weeks later and I called Lowes for another service call. I explained what happened with Jerry's Appliance and asked that they send me somewhere else and filed a complaint. Lowes scheduled me with Aand B Sales and Service, Inc. The owner of that company came out to look at the dryer on 1/7/14. He took the dryer apart and was shocked by what he found. First he found wiring that had melted away next to the thermal cutoff that the other company had replaced. He indicated that the prior tech would have seen that and should have fixed that because it had been that way for some time. Secondly, the bad part that the prior tech replaced was left in the bottom of the dryer along with some random screws. Lastly due to the prior tech's failure to fix the dryer properly now every part that controls the heating has to be replaced including the brand new part that is now broken again. This issue could have started a fire in our house. I would not suggest that anyone seek service from this company. Luckily for us all payments were and are covered by our warranty otherwise this would be a hefty bill that was caused by the carelessness of the tech for Jerry's Appliances.

I called HH Gregg for warranty work to be done on an LG washer. I chose Jerry's. Jerry's called me the next day to let me know that they were too busy to do the work. This was very disappointing. The dishwasher in the house we recently bought has never drained properly. It drains most of the water, but always retains some of the filthy water, which it then sprays all over all the dishes during and quot;washingand quot;. We had the impression that the pump isn't functioning well, and maybe it needs to be replaced. By the time we finally got around to calling Jerry's, a clog had developed in the drain line, as a result of accumulating more and more crud with every cycle. The repair man got to work quickly and efficiently cleaning the drain line using a shop vac hooked up where it would normally go into the disposal. When it was a struggle, he made it clear that he wasn't even going to consider looking at any other source of the problem. If the dishwasher was installed so that the drain line was kinked at the dishwasher end of it, he certainly wasn't going to pull the dishwasher out from under the counter to check for that. He suggested calling a plumber instead. Once he got the clog out, he had no interest in sticking around to make sure the dishwasher was actually functioning properly. But he had only fixed a symptom of the problem, and not the actual source of our problems. I have thought about calling Jerry's and asking them to finish the job they started, but the technician who came was so dismissive and discouraging that I really don't feel like wasting more of my time with them.

The appointment was made in a timely manner (a couple of days) and the repair man was prompt. I knew the name of the reair man in advance (Mike?) which I liked and he also phoned me 1/2 hour before he showed up. He diagnosed the issue rather quickly as a leak in the closed refrigeration unit. His opinion was don't bother repairing it. Searching out exactly where it was leaking could be very costly as it was a closed system, quickly exceeding the value of the unit. He patiently explained to me what would be involved in continuing and some negative experiences for clients who had insisted on repairing their unit. He further gave me his opinion of my lower end freezer on top Kenmore (piece of junk). I liked these people. Friendly and reasonable rates with no desire to run up the bill. I would definitely use this business again.

I paid them for the services they did. but later i then noticed there was a quarter size whole in my wall from him pushing so hard. He was very nice though. He came back to take a picture of it. Over the next couple months i would check in to see if they were going to repair it. They were agreeable but nothing ever happen. I called again a year later with no outcome. i just ended up fixing it myself. sent them the picture and bill for it. I still have received no reimbursement for it.

We were having issues with our refrigerator leaking water and an issue with our dishwasher not completing a full cycle. Our technician's name was Dave. He was very professional and diagnosed both issues perfectly. Our dishwasher has been a pain almost since we bought it. The cost of the diagnosis and repair work was very reasonable considering the dishwasher part was about $170. I will definitely recommend them to friends and family and use them again for any future issues.

The technician (Devon) called to alert me that he was on his way; he arrived when he said he would, and was very professional in the way he looked and acted. He confirmed with me what the problem was, to make sure it had been reported on the service request correctly, then he explained to me what was causing the problem and how he would fix it. He had all the proper tools he needed with him. He took the freezer apart, fixed the problem, returned everything to it's proper place and cleaned up the area. The whole time he was working he was pleasant, conversant, and very efficient. After the job was done he gave me a copy of the service report, with his notes on how it had been fixed and a company business card. He told me not to hesitate to call if I had questions, or if any other appliance needed repairs. Start to finish was less than an hour. I am very impressed with this company and will refer them, and will call them again if any other appliance repairs are needed.
Description of Work: Snaked out blocked drain line in freezer, which was causing water to collect in the bottom of the freezer and overflow out onto the floor.

They replaced the part in February and it has failed again. I'm disappointed that we had to pay the full service call fee to have it looked at and would have to pay the full parts and labor to have it replaced again. (Our particular repair was not covered by the warranty.) That said, they have been very nice to work with both times - prompt and knowledgeable. I think our issue is more of a problem of Samsung not standing behind their replacement parts than anything to do with the service. The service call fee is a little higher than the appliance repair service we've used in the past, but they do have an Angie's List discount, which is very nice.
Description of Work: Jerry's is the warranty provider for Samsung refrigerator repairs. We called them because our fridge is freezing up and stops cooling.
