Sears offers same day installation for water heaters purchased from them. They had absolutely no ability to get a water installed the same day. In fact, it took over 2 weeks. Finally cancelled the order and went with another company who promised same day installation and did  as promised. Sears' advertisement about same day installation is a patent untruth and goes unfilled regularly. Service agents were apologetic but unable to deliver on promises. Need a new water heater? Don't go to Sears,

A long story unfortunately. When we bought the refrigerator, the salesman tried to convince us that all comnpressors were failing in 2 years and we nedded the $500 service plan. Not true by the way. Tried to get us to pay $15 to nail them down to a 4 hour delivery window. The first refrigerator was delivered on May 28. The delivery men basically pulled the fridge out of the box and dumped it near the location of the old fridge - did not remove any packing material or put on the door handled, no set up. They left a heathly scratch in the door. Sears delivery is seperate from Sears the store, so they called and left us a claim number. Found a healthy dent on the back right corner of the firdge. Asked for a price break, none forthcoming, so we asked for a new fridge to be delivered. May 30, another fridge delivered by same crew, this one damaged also! Never looked at it before they brought it out. Got store a**'t manager involved and they arranged for a new fridge to be devlieved Jun 2. This one was in good shape and a new crew delivered it. They did set it up very nicely. We did get a 10% price consession from the store after it was all said and done, but what a circus! Note the professionalism score is for the delivery men, not the a**'t manager I dealt with, who was very responsive to my calls. I dont think I will go to Sears for a purchase like this again due to this overall experience.

They were very prompt and courteous. They gave us a call in advance to make sure we were here for the service call. They have always done very good with repairs and service work. I would give them 100% on their work and I would recommend them to others. I would suggest that anyone that gets appliances from Sears to get the warranty. The warranties they offer are great. They have repaired my ice maker and replaced a cracked drawer free of charge. I purchased a used Kenmore stove that was less than a year old and I called them and they told me to find out the information on the stove and give them a call back so they could get me set up with a warranty on it.

It did not work out the best but I think I had a bad product; they never were able to address the problem. The situation went on for about 4 years; there was a vibration in the machine that I was not happy with. I have stopped paying on the maintenance agreement and will not use them again in the future.

Out of all of my Sears experiences in this past month with Sears Kenmore washing machines, the Sears Delivery Department did the best job of holding to their word.  They called when they said they would and showed up when they said they would and today even came a little early.  The delivery men were friendly and careful about delivering and taking away the washer.  They responded appropriately to my questions.  The only thing that wasn't perfect was today the delivery worker left some water on the hardwood floors.  I appreciated the friendliness of the wokers and one especially stands out in my mind because he told me to have "a glorious day".
