carpet installation
 + -1 moreIt didn't go since they did not follow through and send samples.
Description of Work: No help in store. Requested samples not available in store. Said they would send but never did. Wasted three weeks of time. Returned one sample and said cancel. Then they called and asked if we wanted the carpet or not. We didn't even get yo see the samples. They apparently don't know how to order samples and don't communicate with each other

 + -1 moreThey helped me pick out the carpet I wanted that was within my price range. They special ordered it for me and it shipped directly to the people who installed it, which saved me money on shipping. They were extremely nice and knowledgeable. They answered all of my questions. I like it when people are that helpful and explain things to me so well. They called me after it was all installed and asked for feedback on their installers. I appreciated the fact that they cared enough to know how it went.
Description of Work: They replaced the carpet throughout my entire basement and the stairs.

countertops, home improvement stores
 + 0 moreAfter dealing with Home Depot from mid June to October without any work being done on our counter top, even after we paid for it in full we are disillusioned, disgusted, and disappointed with Home Depot, Mishawaka, Indiana. We do have an update. The installers, Camri Stone, did a great job. They finally showed up on October 17th. We never received an apology, nor an explanation as to why the whole process took this long. We will travel to H.D. in Benton Harbor before we enter the store in Mishawaka. Please read our comments.
Description of Work: We ordered and paid in full for a 28 square foot, simple granite counter top which Home Depot in Mishawaka had on sale in mid June, 2011. We only needed a small "L" shaped counter. Our eager salesman assured us the installation would be within 2 weeks of the template measurements. Due to an unforeseen delay in our cabinets from another vendor, we were unable to install our cabinets until August. On August 23rd we attempted to schedule a template measurement for our counter top. The template measurement was finally made on August 31st by Camristone, a sub-contractor to Home Depot. At that time, the template technician assured us the installation would occur in one to two weeks. As of today, October the 5th, we are still waiting for the first call back from this lousy company, Home Depot. Not only do we not have the product we paid for months ago, but their attempt to explain the delay to us with a phone call, or e-mail continues to be non existent. It is impossible to talk to the store manager, or to a district manager, or to obtain e-mail addresses for management personnel. My advise is to not order a thing from this Home Depot store.
