Earlier in 2014, when the weather was particularly bad, my family noticed that the house was cold. The thermostat confirmed that the house was in the low 60s and our furnace was not firing. We called Home Comfort Experts based on a good experience with them when we bought a new unit for our old house. The tech was punctual and polite. I showed him our furnace and he quickly identified two hoses that were plugged, which was causing a pressure valve to malfunction. It was $80 or so to have him come out and he charged us a simple maintenance fee to clean the furnace, as well as the plugged hoses, which totalled around $150. Things seemed to be working fine for a couple of days when the same problem came back. We called them again and the nice lady on the phone scheduled another visit and informed me that there would be another service fee of around $80, but that we may not have to pay it as the tech ultimately makes that decision. So the same tech came out again, friendly and on time, and ran a more complete diagnostic and some more maintenance and charged us another $100 or so. Again, in less than a week, the furnace failed to turn on. Again, I called them and simply asked that if I had the tech made another visit, would they charge me the service fee. The nice lady on the phone said that they would, but the tech would have to make that distinction. Now, I'm sure the kind woman on the other end of the phone was not in a position to make deals on price, but I decided right then that I was not going to be nickeled and dimed anymore. I went elsewhere to have my furnace serviced. It turned out that we had a defective main board, and was fixed that morning for the same amount as what I paid for two visits by Home Comfort Experts, and in less time by more experienced and knowledgeable technicians. In short, I will not be doing business with Home Comfort Experts again. While they are extremely friendly and responsive, their technician's inexperience and inability to correctly diagnose my problem, as well as their inflexibility when it came to service charges results in my inability to recommend them.

Technician arrived at exact time as promised, was respectful of our home's insides, performed all work in a most timely manner, was pleasant and cordial, efficient and hard working. I highly recommend Home Comfort.

Scheduled our annual furnace cleaning and tuneup. Provider came on time as promised and quickly performed the service needed. Tried to sell an add on humidifier cleaner but after we refused went on with his work. Everything done quickly and professionally

They are excellent. They are a really good company. Everything worked well. We have a mild on a furnace for the air conditioning in Ware Florida Heating. They were professional, reliable, and always there quickly asked you if you have a need. They have a special program and keep you signing up for having them over a year it makes the materials and labor covered for long time on your heating and air conditioning. They did a very good job.

Great. They addressed all issues and the system is working great now.

He did a great jjob! He was very helpful and even explained and showed me how to unclog our bathtub drain that has been a problem. Went out of his way to take the time to inform and explain things to me.

The entire process, including negotiation of product and price vs another provider, went very well.

I first used Comfort Experts when they had a special on Angie's List for a furnace & water heater check-up. Although he performed the furnace check fine, I felt that the technician was trying to sell me more products and services from the moment he walked in the door, saw my humidifier, and said, "Oh, I can do something about that for you so you don't have to be continually filling water and cleaning it." He told me my ducts needed cleaning and CE could do that. He obviously knew nothing about electric tankless water heaters, but told me I needed a larger one and told me several times that if I wanted any of these things to contact him because he would get a bonus. He also signed me up for "TheClub" and when my furnace went out was VERY prompt, but told me I needed my ducts cleaned, a new thermostat & new filters. I called Terry's, who I had used for duct cleaning before, & he took pictures to show my ducts did not need cleaned. The CE tech had also told me the wrong size filters.

Jeremy was very knowledgeable and diagnosed my problems, with a total cost of $1200. I knew my furnace was old and most likely in need of replacement so I asked Jeremy what he thought and he said it definitely needed replaced (but in no way did he play salesman and suggest I replace it). I said I was interested in replacing rather than spending $1200 for a 'band-aid'. He brought space heaters to my house that evening and scheduled a consultation for the next day. Brian came out on Friday and did a thorough inspection of my house then laid out my options. He explained everything in great detail and helped me select an appropriate replacement. Then since I was without heat they scheduled a Saturday install. The installers Mike and Pete were knowledgeable and professional and completed the job without incident in about 8hrs. And although it was VERY costly I do love my new furnace. And I really don't think it was costly due to their pricing, I think furnaces are just really expensive.

They were excellent. I liked that they came when they said they would. They put booties on their shoes so that they did not get stuff all over the house. They did a thorough job inspecting the furnace and cleaning the air conditioner. They got everything up and running. I signed up for the annual service. I will continue to use them again.

They were very professional and informative throughout the furnace inspection and actually showed and explained what they were doing.

They did a good job. They found out that my humidifier was shot. Then suddenly the floor was flooding in my garage and it was coming from where the furnace and water heater are. They came out to check that, they said that there was nothing wrong with the either one, it was my drain that was stopped up. They came out the next day with a plumber, he cleared the drain and I have not had any problem since. The first time they came out they charged me for the humidifier, they did not charge anything the second time and the third time they charged me $99 for the drain cleaning. I am not sure if I would use them again, because they told me it would be $89 just to have them come out to the house. I do not like that idea.

Installing furnace and heat pump today (snow storm)...

I had moved into my home this past summer and wanted a furnace check up before winter. Home Comfort Expert's sticker was on the furnace from the previous owners so I called them. On the good side, HCE employees were very responsive and professional. On the bad side, after the inspection Bill Penn told me I needed a new furnace and a/c to the tune of $13,000.00. I got inspections from two other heating contractors that told me my furnace was fine. One said that if I DID need to get a new furnace it should not cost me more than $5000.00.

They did a good job and they put shoe covers on before they entered the house. The people that work for this company are not only technicians they are sales people. The problem I have is with the office. Someone will call to move an appointment up, which is fine, but on the day she called I told her twice that my furnace was outside and it was pouring down rain with lightning she wanted the service guy to come anyway. When he arrived he told me he couldn't work on my furnace because it was outside and it was raining. They rescheduled.

It went fine. They did a very good job.

we had recently moved to IN. in Nov.and didn't know of any reliable services until I saw a t.v. advertizement for Home Comfort Experts,also their service van had went down the road past our house. I called them and recieved a discount for being a first time customer when I signed up for yearly air conditioner/furnace check. I highly recommend them as they did an excellent job .

I scheduled for the plumber to come out today and they seemed eager to help initially. When their plumber called me to set up the time and payment of services, the plumber told me they would not help me because my home is a rental property. I purchased my Angie's List subscription specifically for services on my rental. Apparently, because my home is a rental, my money is "No Good!!!" I am extremely disappointed; I am STILL a paying customer!!!

Ken Jewell and Bill Penn were on time, friendly, professional and thorough. They wore booties in the house and took time to inform me of everything they did to my air conditioner and plumbing system. All were cleaned out and inspected and returned to a better condition than they were. i would recommended the professional team to anyone. A super great experience of top of the line techs, who enjoy their work.

At least an hour and a half was spent in the process and I ended up with an estimate. No pressure to buy was applied and I have time to compare prices and decide if I want to proceed with the installation. The purpose of the visit was not to give an assessment of my present equipment but that will have to be done separately or the age alone will have to be used to decide on a course of action. A year ago this company did a routine servicing of the equipment and that went well.

They are excellent, excellent people. They charge $15 months and that includes two free visits, one for summer, and one for winter. If you call them out on a Holiday or on a Sunday, they don’t charge you any extra. They have one or two free plumbing inspections included because they do home heating, cooling and plumbing services. The technician that came out last offered to do more, asked me if there was anything else I wanted him to do and I asked him to check the fireplace. He removed what was not working in the fireplace, put in brand new batteries and didn’t charge me anything extra. They are that way; they go above and beyond. They put on those portable shoes when they come in and take them off when they come out, they make sure all their tools are picked up and the area is clean around their work.

They apparently faked a leak in our system, we had someone else come out to check out the leak and it did not exist.

They were really good. They were very professional, very respectful of your home, cleaned up after themselves and just took pride in what they were doing. I would use them again.
