HERB'S DRYWALL SVC

HORRIBLY! LEFT AT THE ALTER AFTER WAITING 60+ DAYS!!! Talk about having your business taken for granted! Based upon Angie's List reviews, we contacted Herb's for a quote in early June to address some new construction and a large area that was water damaged from a roof leak. Our timeline was to have the work done in July. Herb's confirmed availability and provided a quote. We communicated a few times to confirm details as we were coordinating schedules with a few other contractors around this work, as well as insurance. In early July, Herb notified us he had some staffing problems and wasn't available until August. We re-reviewed other options - and informed Herb's we could arrange for early August if they could work the painting as well as the drywall. We asked for no later than the week of Aug 8 so that we could finish no later than Aug 20 - they agreed. We updated our insurance provider that we were going to stick with Herb's and wait it out. We followed up at the end of July to reconfirm. On Wednesday Aug 4, they contacted us to schedule a "walk-through" for the week of Monday, Aug 8. We expressed concern that starting the week of Aug 15 was too late to meet our deadline - Herb's indicated we could work it out when we met. We set the time of 10a as I had a work conflict prior to. Herb's showed up at 9.15a - without a call or notice. I indicated I was tied up until 10a when our appointment was scheduled - and WHILE ON A CELLPHONE IN FRONT OF ME - Herb's told us to take a hike!! Wow - sure glad we worked with them so long to try to give them our business!!! :-( I have notified our insurance provider that Herb's is unreliable - and wanted to make sure that the Angie's List community doesn't make the mistake we did. Herb's really stuck it to our family - and added insult to injury by their rude and unprofessional conduct.

In and out in three days, and stuck to his estimate. Which was a good price. His crew was polite and courteous of my family and were on time and cleaned up after themselves. Herb left the scaffolding an extra day so I could paint the area needed ;)

Herb came out to our home and gave us an estimate for the entire project. We were considering adding an additional wall later but he pointed out that it would cost us much more to have him come out later. We went ahead and had the wall added before we called Herb to do the drywall. In general we were very happy with the quality of the work. We did notice that the workers left every light in the basement on when they left for the day. Otherwise, the work was done efficiently and very well. The bonus was that Herb came in under estimate even with the new wall. We were very pleased about that. The crew was here exactly when we were told they would be which is a real plus. I give them extra points for being efficient and on time.

They did a great job. They were professional, showed up on time, and were very knowledgable.

Prompt, professional. Quote was very reasonable. Ended up using a friend instead. Otherwise, would have used Herb.

It was pretty good. I was not a hundred percent happy with it after it was done but they came back and fixed the areas that I was unhappy with, so they made it better. I would most likely use them in the future.

They came on time everyday and it was finished exactly when they said it would be.
