First of all, South Bend Heating and Air Conditioning appears to be the new name for Dave's Heating, so in a way this is a duplicate listing. But South Bend Heating and Air Conditioning is the business name that Dave Moffett is currently using. I was referred to Dave by a friend. Last fall I needed the furnace in a house I'd bought out of foreclosure tested and put back in service. The job was complicated by the fact that the a-coil had been removed by scavengers and there was a gaping hole in what I think is called the plenum. Dave did a great job and charged a fair price. This past spring I needed central a/c added to the house I'm living in. Again, Dave did a great job at a fair price. The furnace in my house is old as furnaces go and it needed a more powerful fan for proper a/c circulation. Dave quoted the job two ways, one with a new fan and one with a good used fan. Since the new fan would have been like putting a Porsche engine in a Studebaker, I went with the used one and saved some money. A month or so ago I got my foreclosure house ready to put back in service and decided to re-install the central a/c. Yet again, Dave did a terrific job at a fair price. I also recommended Dave to one of my neighbors, and the neighbor told me he's very happy with the work Dave does.

He tested the unit before installing it as it had sat unused for a couple years. All was in good order. Glad he did that before proceeding. He quoted a fair price, was timely and was professional. I'd recommend Dave Moffett.

Dave Moffett is extremely professional and I would highly recommend him to anyone need a reliable, fair priced, high quality, punctual HVAC guy. We recently bought this home in Mishawaka, IN moving here from Chicago, IL. So we were not familiar with who the good and bad trades are in the area. Angie's List came through once again for us. Dave has an A rating and I understand why. The house came with a brand new Goodman furnace but it had air leaking everywhere, the coil was not a Goodman and the A/C unit was a 35 year MacGuyver'd heat pump. Dave is an authorized and certified Goodman dealer. He was thorough and made several suggestions without any pressure. He presented a written quotation and that was the price we paid him when the extensive project was completed. Everyday he made sure he and his people put down tarps to keep things neat and they cleaned up every day. All the workman were friendly and courteous. He even secured the county permit for the new gas line we had run due to having NIPSCO move the gas meter from the backyard to the side of the house. I was quite impressed when he had completed everything except hooking the water heater to the new gas line. (He was waiting for NIPSCO to switch the meters and turn the gas on in this new line. When I called Dave to tell him NIPSCO had finished their work he and his son came out that afternoon and worked until 6pm cutting-threading pipe and finishing the job. I figured it would have been at least another week. He would not let us be without hot water even one day. A+++ You will not be disappointed with Dave Moffett.

We really like him and will continue to use him again in the future.

He is very prompt and reasonable. The job was great. He is very honest and he follows through. I never had any problems and have had him come 3 times, till date.
