The only reason we upgraded was because our old plan--which was supposed to be up to 150MB/second was abysmally slow. The Xfinity technician who came to the house was great. The problem with Comcast is that their customer service is poor.
Description of Work: We upgraded our Internet service to Xfinity's new Gigabit product.

The installer arrived three minutes before the 8-12 window ended. He was polite, and wore booties on his feet to protect my carpet. This was a nice touch. He went down to my basement and checked a few levels on my line. He went back out to his truck to get a device to attenuate the signal, as the power to my home was far too high. He then re-connected my old Cable modem and Boxes and pushed the configuration files back down to them. The whole process took maybe 30-45 minutes. I am glad he was there, I think $99 is a bit expensive for what he did, but if I had done it myself my signal levels going to my devices would be far too high.
Description of Work: I moved and needed to Comcast to come out and re-activate my service in my new home.

After deciding to move from DSL to cable internet, we required a new service from the backyard cable pole to the house. Although a subcontractor first came to install the service, he was unable to reach the aerial main cable with his ladder. I called the store; they sent someone later that day, and they both attached the main line and then installed the router, completing the whole job within an hour.

The tech can to add a third tv and did not activate the remote not to mention he didn't explain anything. The cost and limitations of signing a contract with Comcast will force me not to use this provider in the future.

Comcast Cable We like it real well, it is nice. There is just one station that really gives us problems, but they are working on it to see if it's the TV or the remote. The customer service is excellent. You don't have to wait a long time. About six weeks ago I had a remote problem, I was put over to the office and they just gave me a new one. They are very helpful. I didn't spend any money, they just gave me a new remote.
Description of Work: Comcast Cable is my TV, Internet and the home phone service.

Their price is a little bit high but it's reasonable. They let us know if they have special offers. I switched before then I switched back because I don't want what I was getting. I used to have their cable service but I took it out because it doesn't benefit us. Our TV can pick up signal and can get basic channels. They provide us very good and I don't have problems. They have been very prompt, courteous and friendly no matter how hard their day might be.
Description of Work: I am currently using the internet service of Comcast Cable.

I refused to accept their service costs !!!
Description of Work: Comcast Cable / Internet service has not responded positively for the past three years. I have contacted them for the last 3 years for the availability of obtaining the service. The only response I've gotten is - To provide service to my residence - one house away - less than 300 feet in total distance - Comcast WOULD NOT provide service unless I paid up-front $3,740.00 to have the service installed - and this does NOT include paying for the services itself - but does require a 2 year agreement at installation. This is ridicules for an accredited service provider for my residential service. I the service line is NOT already in place in front of your residence or business - LOOK ELLS-WARE for other options. Don't agree to pay exorbitant up front fees just to sign an agreement to be committed for 2 years of services they provide.

Comcast probably has the best internet speed in this area. The only choice we have is Comcast. This company signs you up for a plan and then raise your prices. We had cable television, but moved onto Dish Network.
Description of Work: I receive phone and internet service from Comcast. I have been using this company for almost 2 and a half years. They have the fastest internet service in this area. Never had the technician come to my home for anything.

I have been with them for a number of years and have the Triple Play option. Every once in a while I have problems with the phone service but they are quick to come out and fix it. We have some outages that we should not have had but I will use them at my home again in the future.
