They are the only provider of cable in the area so we are locked in. They try to give good service but I constantly have little blips in service and it is off for 30 seconds or 5 minutes which is not enough time for me to call them about it. They also do maintenance on the phone at 2 in the morning and when they do that I have no phone service. I wish I had known that before. I will continue to use them because they are the only provider that we have here. If I had other options I wouldn’t use them.

They are the only ones available. I think their prices are a little steep, because there isn't any competition.

Overall, when I got the problems corrected, it has been okay. Increase in 2012 pricing is going to push me away, as it will almost double from my current rate. Not worth the cost. Bruce
Description of Work: When I initially signed up for Comcast, I had trouble. They did not show up in time, twice and I sent them away. I was not going to waste my time with a Company that purposely over-booked and ran their installers raggid. The first install was by a sub-contractor and he did a terrible job. I got $25.00 for my trouble. The next installer was good, knew his stuff and kept me informed what he was doing. He corrected the problems of the first installer. The frist year, pricing was good, the next year went up slightly, but not too bad. This year, 2012 pricing, is through the roof and I called them to advise that when my promotion ends, I will be going to someone else. Having your bill almost doubbling is not worth it.

We had a misunderstanding over a contract issue basically about the price. When I ordered the service they thought I meant basic but I meant expanded basic. It said in the contract basic but I did not pay attention to the word that was missing; I never intended to downgrade my service there so I just assumed we were getting the same thing we were getting at my home. They tried to take my monthly price up by about $80. I tried to fight with them but did not get anywhere with them.
Description of Work: I use Comcast Cable at my business. The price includes two phone lines; one for an ATM. It also includes television and wireless internet.

Description of Work: Installed xfinity service. Digital Phone, Internet, and Cable. I have had 3 outages from the install date. I have had trouble receiving phone calls, can not complete the number dialed. Cable has been slow to connect and freezes up while reading my E-mail. My DVR was not programmed correctly in the beginning. I could not get TV on Demand until I called a trouble number to get it reprogramed. The initial install was done by a contractor and I had wires left hanging in my basement that should have been secured. The outside supply wire was not securely to my house and left tucked behing my window trim. It took 3 weeks to get the cables properly fastened. Then a problem developed with my phone not receiving calls and my internet operating slowly and freezing up while reading my E-mail. Tomorrow, Oct.23, 2010 a technition is coming out to check on the problem. That is over a month to get my system working properly. I have had one price adjustment for my inconvenience, but I am about at my wit's end putting up with their manner of operation. I have complained to a number of supervisors and Residencial Advisors. With a limited number of companies to choose, we are a captive audience. I had Wild Blue for about a year and constantly had my signal being dropped. I had Dish for 2 years and they had trouble with their signal and their price kept going up. Hopefully, Comcast will get their act together. They have caused me a good deal of grief. Bruce Strnad
