Christman Custom Painting

Christman custom painting was hired by our builder to paint our newly constructed 3000 square-foot home. Christman‘s price was a premium. Their workmanship is described below. Caulk smears. Paint runs on walls and trim Roller lines on walls and ceilings. Painted over top of dirt and sanding dust. Debris in paint Roller splatter on cabinets and flooring. Christman painting was so terrible our builder offered $1500 compensation for the poor work which won’t even begin to cover the price of a quality painter to come in, fix the damage and repaint The absolute worst painting I have ever seen Dozens of pictures are available to verify the horrible work

Their price was the same as other quotes; so we went with them because their crew was big enough to do the job in 2 1/2 days. No complaints. Nice job. Nice employees.

Excellent! This is the second time we've used Christman. They previously painted some interior trim for us, and did an outstanding job. They came highly recommended and did not disappoint. For this most recent job, they painted some oak built-in bookshelves and did a precise and careful job. They are meticulous about clean-up and worked quickly, staying out of our way as much as possible.

I would never use this contractor or recommend them to anyone!

I called 3 times on differents days and left messages and no return.

I called about getting a free estimate for exterior painting from Christman Custom Painting. A few days later, Dan showed up on time to do the estimate. He took about 5 minutes to tell me the job would cost $7500 to paint the entire house. He also talked about the possibility of lead paint on the house and how there are certain precautions they would have to take. 30 days later I got an email from him telling me I have a past due bill for $50 for a lead paint test. I never agreed to a $50 lead paint test. I never saw him perform the test. I never saw the results of the test. Needless to say, I won't be using this company now or in the future and I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau about this company.

They did the rooms they said they were going to do. Some of the jobs I didn't care for too much. They were defects you don't necessarily see that you notice later. Two of the painters were excellent and the other wasn't so great.

It was an excellent experience. The quality of all work was superior. Also, the professionalism of the staff, punctuality of start times as promised, and clean up was outstanding. The Christman staff was a pleasure to work with.

I was very pleased with their service. They do a high quality job. They had a couple little dings and such and they fixed. On the estimate they made a slight error which was not to their advantage and they said they would honor that. I was quite impressed with that. They came when they said they would and they finished when they said they would. They cleaned up afterwards which was important to me. However, they are not cheap, they are not going to be the low bidder.

They were amazing. On the day they said they were going to be there, they showed up at 8am. They put tarp throughout my entire house. They had some many workers, that all the rooms had someone painting in them. They got the job done is 2 days. All of the workers were extremely polite.

Their advertising locally really focused on the importance of prep work, and I have painted enough to know that prep work is key when painting. They didn't prepare anything to my satisfaction. When the owner came to give the estimate, I thought we were on the same page, but when the guys were unloading equipment, the guy in charge of the guy, or supervisor, sent two of the guys to start cutting into the ceiling with no prep work whatsoever.

They arrived as scheduled Thursday morning at 7:00 with a crew of 5 including supervisor. All were skilled painters. They split up the work and kept at it all day. Returned Friday and put on 2nd coat. Finished up by the end of the day. Final results were excellent. The crew was sensitive to our comings and goings and minimized intrusions. They moved flower pots and doors as required and even stopprd by Saturday to lift some heavy pots back onto the porch.

Went great, was very accurate in the time span when the job would be started and completed. Workers were very pleasant and professional. The owner did the quote, and then dropped of samples of stains right away once I agreed to proceed. They worked quickly and finished in a timely manner, as I was concerned since Fall was setting in and we would lose an opportunity to finish the staining the deck before the cold and wet weather set in. Very happy with the work. Also offered to come back if they missed any spots, but I did not need them to return.

They were reliable and easy to work with. The job went well and the quality of their work was excellent. I will use them again in the future.

Contractor was prompt in getting an estimate made. Work began the next day while I was at work and house was empty. Job was completed in a timely manner. Clean-up was not the greatest: garbage left on the deck and paint on the floor in several places (pictures available). The biggest complaint is that workers went into areas of the house where they should not have been. Paint left on refrigerator and dishwasher. Microwave had been used without permission and timer left on. Rooms upstairs were entered and property (shopping bags) were rummaged through. Basement lights left on; closet doors opened; items from cupboards taken and left out in bathroom. Flatware was stolen from kitchen drawer. When owner was contacted about this, he accepted no responsibility and seemed to dismiss the problem as neither his nor his employees. This was reported to the police and is under investigation.
