Firefighters Chimney Co

Terrible. These people will cheat anyone the work for.

To begin with, they installed a fireplace insert and chimney liner in my home and I realized it was the wrong insert, not the model I paid for. I contacted them and after months of phone calls to them with me pleading for them to bring the correct insert, I finally purchased another insert from another company and had to contact Firefighters Chimney Co to come out and remove the one they installed and return my money. They finally came to my home on the day before Christmas eve. And took the insert out and placed it in my garage for me to store it until the post dated check that they wrote to me cleared my bank. however they didn't give all the money back that I paid them in the first place. They said they would not refund for their labor only for the insert. They gave me a post dated check to be honored on jan 31, 2015. After the check cleared my bank they were to come out and pick up the insert which was being stored in my garage. I went to the bank on the 31st and deposited it and a few days later my bank called and told me that they had stopped payment on the check. After a couple of weeks and me contacting my lawyer, they finally brought the cash and took the insert. When I had a different company come out to install the next insert which I had to purchase, they told me that the way Firefighters Chimney Co had installed the insert and the chimney liner was so terribly wrong and that there was a huge possibility of it causing a fire What a shame that someone names themselves after firefighters and does a horrible job. I hope someone gets the message about these horrible people. Don't be fooled, they are crooked.

they came in with little booties on there feet so they wouldn't get my carpet dirty then laid tarps down around my wood stove so they wouldn't get the creosote on my floor then cleaned my chimney and my stove out and let me know I had some water damage to my chimney and added a cap cleaned up there stuff and was off... the was VERY professional and well mannered. I recommend them to anyone
