Had some issues with receiving the estimate that ended up being a communication error, response times on the estimate were slow, but that could have been due to recent storms in my area. Mr. Weiss, the owner contacted me directly when notified of my issues in receiving the estimate and was very professional and clearly wanted to make sure that any issues were taken care of immediately which really impressed me. Due to the communication error which resulted in me not receiving the estimate in time I did not utilize them for the services but would consider them for other services in the future.
Description of Work: They were approached to do a complete gutter replacement on my home, but didn't end up getting the work.

Based on Angie's List, we called to have an estimate for a new storm door. The sales rep came out and gave us options. Prices were high, but quality seemed worth the cost. Down payment was made on 6/12/13. The door was installed on 7/15/13. Seemed like a long time between request and install. Installer was great: did a fine job. We're happy with the new door. Negatives: initial salesman a bit over-the-top for us; price high; order time long. Positives: competent, friendly installer; sturdy storm door. Would I use this company again? Not sure. Price was steep.

I did not choose Trim-A-Seal Of Indiana Inc. to do the job because their quotes were extremely high. I believe their roofing quote was high because they didn't do the roofing themselves back then. They subcontracted the work out. They're a reputable company and they've been here for years, but their prices are too high. You have to shop around and be sure you're getting the best buy for your money.

At the time of a consultation, we would never plan to sub-contract work out to another company. The only exception in which this may occur is under unusual circumstances such as illness, emergency, etc. This is to ensure an acceptable installation time. The customer would be notified with the right to opt out or wait for an available time. In these cases, we do have preferred companies that we trust to deliver the same quality we guarantee, and the price should not be affected. Regarding your estimate, it may be that we were comparing different products, brands, or warranties. Also, while we do continue to revise our price models to meet a competitive market, we generally do come in slightly higher than independent contractors who work with a single truck or crew. This may have contributed as well. That being said, we always strive to maintain a strong balance between our prices and our quality products, work, and service during and after the installation. After 60 years, we value our past customers and their continued business, and in turn are mindful of any service needs in the near or far future. We hope you give us another shot sometime! They did the job in two days, one day for the tear off/prep work and the next dat for all soffit/fascia repair and installation of new gutters and downspouts. Job site clean up was very good ( I only found a couple of small pieces and a couple of small nails and screws). Their estimate was right on target with no surprises. A great job!

There were 5 people working at various times in the project. All were professional. They worked through the weather except when we had rain and high winds.
Description of Work: The gutters were falling down because the wood supporting them was rotted/chewed through by squirrels. So new wood was applied to the structure to support the new gutters that were installed afterword and then the gutter Gutter- Helmet covers installed.

Initially, they were more than a hour late. No one called me so I almost turned them away. However, they completed the work and did a good job. They were more than accommodating. They patched up a couple of things that I did not ask them to do. It was actually raining during the time of the work but they got everything done.

It was too long ago. See above.
Description of Work: We used them on 2 separate occasions. The first was for siding on our upstairs dormer. They did a great job and it has held up well. We had several bids and I know their price was competitive but don't have the paperwork handy to check since it was done around 2000. The front and basement storm doors were purchsed around 2007. They were a little more expensive because I was tired of the cheaper doors not standing up to the weather and wear and tear. The quality of the products were excellent and we were very happy with the work. I wasn't able to get the door I wanted in the size I needed so another door was suggested and has worked out beautifully. The hardware is sturdy and the workman seemed efficient and cleaned up after themselves. My only disappointment was that the installer was not a real "finishing" carpenter and could not trim out the basement door as I had hoped. Be sure to have that clarified on any contract.

While there was some delay on getting the awning from the factory, once that was settled by their customer service department, installation occured promptly and efficiently. Products are top notch and work flawlessly. All personnel from quote to clean up were friendly, extremely competent and complted the job to our satisfaction.
Description of Work: Quoted and installed retractable awning over concrete patio off sliding glass door. Did a soffit installation which looks very neat and tidy with the house design. No problems in over a year of operation.Also quoted and installed two self storing storm/screen doors installed by a very profesional tradesman and have been trouble free.

When they installed the awning we knew we were going to have a new roof installed within a year or two. We called them to have the awning removed first and re installed when the roofing work was complete. However, their price was much higher than what we originally discussed. Drew was very adamant that they clearly explained the price with their customers but that was not the case. Everyone was nice but the experience was not what I thought it would be. They also did not install our wind sensor because they did not have double faced tape. I now have to purchase the tape and install it myself.
