replacement windows
+ -1 moreI have spent thousands at Home Depot during the last 18 months for other window installation, appliances, kitchen cabinets, counter-tops, and a custom made wood garage door, no problems. The installation price for this latest 52" x 95" simple window now seems disproportionately high, so I attempted to get an explanation. My telephone calls were rarely returned, and a letter to Scott Baxter, President of Home Services didn't even warrant a reply. When I did eventually speak to someone the answer was always the same - too bad! Part of the explanation for high cost included something about paying $900 insurance in case the sub-contractor fell off a ladder! I understand that the final choice was mine and no misrepresentation was involved but it just doesn't seem right, certainly not what I expected from a national retail chain.
Description of Work: Installed Anderson 400 series window. Four C14 casements mulled together, two stationary, two opening. Unfinished pine interior, vinyl exterior, no exterior wrap, no grilles, no special screens or hardware. Installation fine, no problem with sub-contractor.

+ -1 moreSales associates were very helpful, and the computer-generated layout was a huge help to us in mapping out our new kitchen layout. This was done free of charge. We bought the cabinets out of their open stock and installed them ourselves. We found the staff to be very knowledgeable, courteous and helpful.
Description of Work: Bought new kitchen cabinets in the spring of this year. Sales associate mapped out new kitchen layout on computer, so that we would have a visual of what it will look like and exactly which cabinet sizes and how many we would need to purchase.

+ -1 moreHOME DEPOT MADE ME VERY HAPPY. THE MATERIALS ARE OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY AVAILABLE, AND I KNOW BECAUSE I SHOPPED AROUND FOR A YEAR BEFORE COMMITTING TO THEM. THE CONTRACTOR THEY SENT WAS AWESOME.
Description of Work: THEY CARPETED SIX ROOMS AND TWO HALLWAYS.

+ -1 moreTHE CONTRACTOR THAT HOME DEPOT SENT OVER WAS PROMPT, EFFICIENT, AND REALLY PLEASANT TO HAVE AROUND. I WAS REALLY HAPPY WITH THE WORK THAT HE DID, AND I WOULDN'T HESITATE TO HAVE HIM BACK.
Description of Work: THEY PUT UP BLINDS IN THREE ROOMS.

+ 0 moreWE WERE VERY SATISFIED WITH THEIR WORK. THEY KEPT US INFORMED OF ALL THE WORK THEY WERE DOING. WE WERE VERY HAPPY WITH WHAT THEY DID. THEY DID WHAT THEY SAID THEY WERE GOING TO DO.
Description of Work: THEY EXTENDED OUR LIVING ROOM AND BUILT A WALK IN CLOSET IN THE BEDROOM.
