He unplugged my sump pump and left it unplugged. I didn?t discover that it had been unplugged until Monday evening when my basement was flooded. I called him and he was going to come and look at it. He never showed up and I have not heard from him since. He will not respond to my phone calls. There is extensive damage in my basement. UPDATE 7-12-15: This is response to his reply which is complete fabrication. There was never anything wrong with either the sump pump or the ejector pump. He unplugged the sump pump and failed to plug it back in without informing me, and this was the cause of the flood. The water he speaks of from the ejector pump was very minor and on the unfinished side only. It was the result of the ball valve not being installed. His action caused 2 " of water in the entire basement that caused $7000 worth of damage. Neither pump has burned out..They are both operating today. He did admit this to me on the phone and said he would come out to look at the damage, but did not show and does not respond to phone calls or texts.
