Culligan Water Conditioning of Merrillville IN

"The water in Saint John is very hard and prompted us to investigate companies that treat hard water. After reviewing many options available from local water treatment companies, I decided to purchase a Culligan water softener and reverse osmosis drinking water system. The installation was very professional and area was clean when the job was finished. My wife and I could not be happier with our decision. Drake D

DISASTER! The water softener did not work propery. It was consuming several hundred pounds of salt a week (yes- a week) instead of 10-20 pounds. The service people came out to adjust it and said that there were no further adjustments. After this didn't correct the problem, I tried to contact the owner (my salesperson) several times. After not getting any calls back, I purchased an additional system from a different local company. The new softener worked better and only uses about 15 pounds of salt a week. Dan, the owner of Culligan of Merrillville, continues to refuse to acknowledge the problem or offer any compensation. I now have two $3000 water softeners (one is a decoration in my basement). It was less expensive for me to eat the cost of the 2nd $3000 softener than continue to dump hundreds of pounds of salt into the Culligan and risk damaging my septic system. I am still waiting for contact from Dan the owner of Culligan of Merrillville.
