Preferred Painting

The project was right on schedule. He always arrived promptly and worked all day. His prep work for the painting is outstanding. It enhances the look of the paint job. I have used Charlie several times for both interior as well as exterior work. I even had a neighbor who I didn't know tell me how nice my house looks and noticed how well my house was prepped before the paint was applied. I will continue to use him for some additional work I will be doing this spring. I highly recommend his company.

The experience was great. The owner Charles Crowe showed up punctually each day for about two weeks and with the assistance of two crew memebers methodically attacked the job. They scraped, prepped and primed before painting. They are professional , neat, and enjoyable to have around the house. The whole experience has been great.. This was the third time Mr. Crowe has painted my home. The first two times his father, also named Charles Crowe, was in charge. Now, the son has taken over and is continuing an excellent family business. I am 100% pleased with the outcome and highly recommend Preferred Painting.

Charlie and Dan did a great job making an old metal building look great. This is the 3rd time I've used Preferred painting and was very pleased with their work each time. They Power washed the building, caulked and painted it. This was not an easy project but they did a great job. Charlie always called back when I left him a message and completely discussed every detail of the job until I was satisfied. They use quality paints and do a top notch quality job. I would use them again.

We had used them before and they had done an excellent job. It is a family-run business; father, son and a couple of workers he has had with them for years. They do an excellent job and they are very pleasant people. They are very honest and good. I would not mind leaving them in the house. They do freehand mostly instead of spraying. They are a little bit expensive but they are so good and trustworthy that it is worth it.

I have used this company before and the paint job lasted a very long time. When I called to get an estimate to have my house painted again, Charlie was very prompt and gave me a fair estimate for the work that I wanted done. They were always prompt and worked all day. They were very careful to keep the area clean as they worked. They did the work during some of the hottest weather we had this summer and they didn't miss a beat. The trim looks great. They painted everything for me including my mailbox post. They also cleaned up the house numbers on my house and mailbox post. They were very thorough. I have some interior work that I will be doing this spring and will be using them again.

Did a good job. We have had Rob before and he has always delivered. He did the painting in one afternoon. The price we paid included the paint and sealer.

Overall it went fine. We’ve used them three or four times prior to that. They’ve always done a good job. I think they basically work with you’re schedule really well. The two gentlemen that were here have always been here and they are very likeable and very nice individuals to deal with. We are very clear on what they are going to do and what the costs are, and why they are doing it as well. They explain what they are doing very well. They are just very nice to work with. We would use their services again in the future.

Charlie did an excellent job. The work was done over a 3 day period so the surfaces would dry. And each day he worked on the area until he was satisfied with the appearance. I think he is his own worst critic! When he was finished for the day, he would clean up after himself. We are very pleased with his work We can't even tell where the water damage was in the bathroom, or see where the cracks were in the living room. Charlie is good at what he does, and we are very lucky to have found such a concientious young man. We would definitely hire him again. We have since had Charlie come out to do other jobs around the house. He and his crew are the best! Hire them, you will not be sorry!!

So far, everything is going well. They are very attentive, flexible, and have a sense of humor. They come to the property when they say they will. They are always very good about the weather. They pick and choose the sunny days in which they can work outside; I think this is a good thing.

It was a wonderful experience. They painted and also did the woodwork that needed replacing. They were extremely punctual and did what they said they were going to.

From start to finish, our interactions with Charlie and his crews were both professional and pleasant. Charlie's kept us informed about rotted wood or other conditions that would warrant additional expense. Uses very high quality paint and performed the work in a timely and SAFE manner.

They did exactly what they said they would do at a satisfactory price. They cleaned up every day and did the work in a timely manner. Charles Crowe was easy to deal with and all his workers did a good job. They even did some extra things for me that weren't even in the contract and did not charge me for it!

The jobs were finished in an excellent and professional manner. When Charlie Crowe and Mark Burns arrived I was very anxious, due to the fact that the windows had originally been mismeasured. But since this was the third time the gang had done work here, I knew that they could handle it and they did. It's like having good friends here instead of someone you just hire to do a job. I highly recommend this crew for any type of work that they do. So far they have painted the outside of my 70+ year old home that was in terrible shape, built a tidy deck on the back of the house, and installed 5 windows. They will be back here again.

This company is very good. They also, at no extra charge, removed 5 ceiling heater vents so I could clean them. They put them back for me when I was done cleaning them. They did a very good job. This is a very good company.

They were professional and punctual. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again or to recommend him to others.

We have a wood front door with sidelights that was very weathered. After calls to many different companies, who did not want to attempt the work, I found Charlie and Preferred Painting. He felt confident they could refinish the door, which is what they did. Wes, the workman, was competent, efficient and very polite. When I didn't like the first stain color, they had no problem changing the color for me. They are committed to pleasing the customer. The door turned out great and we were happy with the whole experience.

I called in the fall to be put on the schedule for the 2007 painting season. Work was done in June and they were very flexible with some concrete siding work we were having done (and needed painting) concurrently. We have used Preferred Painting before and would not use any other company to paint our home.

This crew arrived on time every day with a wonderful spirit. There was never a moment that I felt that they weren't treating this home as if it were their own. The work progress efficiently but not hurriedly. I was sorry to see them go.

They were excellent. We had never been happy with painters before. They were very knowledgeable. They did some repair work on wood that had split. They were also courteous and dependable. They were always here and did an excellent job helping me pick out the paint. We had a lot of mildew on our house and other people said they'd powerwash it off. They used a spray and wiped it off and it looked great. I've never had anyone from Angie's List that I feel as good about as I do about Preferred Painting.

Charles Crowe, II came to our home to scope out the job and make a proposal. We went through the whole house together. He made recommendations on the type of paint. After we agreed on the project, about two weeks prior to beginning, he came by again for another walk through and for my color choices. His suggestions were quite helpful. Since we would be gone for the whole project, I gave him a key. We kept in touch by phone and he met the deadline without compromising quality. My husband and I were very pleased with their professionalism and quality.
