We thought it was going to go well, but once contracts were signed, communication became non-existent. Damages to our yard and our neighbors became our problem - including dog fence and sprinkler system for both. Exhaust from equipment scorched the neighbor's tree, which is now dying, and ours. We had to have a diver come out 3 times in the first month to find the leak, which ended up being the ladder not tight enough. The valve for the chlorinator was broken but didn't know it until we found we couldn't balance the chemicals. The way they set up the chlorinator ended up burning the cabling causing us to replace both the heater and the chlorinator within the first 1-2 years. When asked for any financial support to fix things, we were told whatever they cover was built into our cost. Would never recommend to anyone.

We hired Hendrick Pool & Lane Service in August 2017 to replace concrete that had broke away and caused our fiberglass pool liner to bow inward. I spoke with Gary on multiple occasions and I will agree with most reviews that communication isn’t the best, but both Gary and I knew where we stood. The work was started and completed March 2018. The job lasted a total of 5 days, but only 3 days of work due to rain and letting the concrete dry. I know the time frame seems large, hired in August 2017 and finished in March 2018, but this was fine with us because there’s not much use for a pool before May and Gary knew we weren’t in a big hurry. Jonathan managed the crew and concrete for our huge job. I was impressed with the whole crews work ethic, professionalism and everyone I spoke to was very friendly. They did a fantastic job and completely cleaned the work site at the end of every day. I would recommend and would hire again. Thanks Gary, Jonathan & the whole crew!

They diagnosed it as a lightening strike. Although nothing else was hit. We trusted The diagnosis and cost us $1500. Had a second opinion and they said no way. Guess what? Our original motor has been working just fine.

So far they have communicated very little, promised a date but when the date came - they didn't call or say they would not do the work - just didn't show. then when asked they said the liner was being shipped. A week later when asking if the liner had showed so we could schedule the install they didn't call but when called back they told my wife it was still being manufactured and not even shipped. From everything I have read on the web, 4 to 6 weeks is a lot longer than it takes to make a pool liner. The fact that someone lied - no one ever called and they changed their story each time we reached out to them and now 6 weeks later the liner is not even made? Are you serious? In the end honesty and good communication trump all and in this case we have received neither. Count us as very disappointed.

The new pool is incredibly beautiful and nice. The work quality is awesome, and i had them install a salt water and ph balancing system, so the maintenance is really low. They changed the shape of the pool, installed a new liner, new pump and filter, new retractable hardcover - it was a big job. Only issue was that communication was sometimes spotty. Nonetheless, we're really happy with the finished product.

Everything went fairly smooth with the exception of the person responsible for the concrete work, Bill. This guy has no business being the concrete sub-contractor for any pool company. I still have concrete work that has never been completed. Not to mention he put concrete over my deck jets. Gary has tried to fix most of our problems that have arose.

Hendricks is very good. They are nice, honest and hard working.

Last year was my first season with a vinyl liner pool. I had the water tested no less than once a week at Pools of Fun in Fishers for the entire season and EXACTLY followed the chemical/maintenance recommendations given by the sales associates. Immediately after opening my pool last year, a neighbor told me that her daughter's bathing suit had faded after swimming in my pool. I took a sample to Pools of Fun the next day and they informed me that the suit should not have faded as the chlorine levels were similar to that at public pools (10). My daughter suffered terrible chlorine damage to her hair midway through the season and we ended up having to cut off several inches of hair. Unfortunately, I relied upon Pools of Fun last year and thought I was doing everything properly. When opening my pool this season, the liner was completely faded. My installer told me that the liner should not have faded and asked for water testing records so that he could share them with the liner company. Unfortunately, after reviewing the records, my installer informed me that the chlorine levels were way too high for the majority of the season. He also informed me that the Pools of Fun reader would only report results up to 10 (common level for public pools) so my chlorine levels could have been significantly higher than reported the entire season. It certainly explains my completely faded liner, faded suit, and damage to my daughter's hair. Although much further away from my home than Pools of Fun, I contacted Hendrick about my pool situation and went for water testing. Every single person I spoke with was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Around this time, my robotic cleaner stopped working. Hendrick was very knowledgeable about the product and warranty and helped me resolve the issue. I decided to take advantage of their weekly pool and hot tub service and was informed that they could not get me on the schedule for my first service for a few weeks. After a few weeks elapsed, they still had not arrived. I called and they realized there was a miscommunication that week. They were extremely apologetic and Gary Hendrick's son was at my house within hours. He did a wonderful job and noted that my salt cell wasn't generating salt. Hendrick replaced the defective part and dealt with Hayward on the warranty. One week, Gary Hendrick serviced my pool. He had come very highly recommended from friends when I was thinking about a pool and it was evident why. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and service oriented. I am completely impressed by the commitment, dedication, friendliness, and knowledge of every single employee/family member I have encountered since Hendrick started servicing my pool a few months ago. While I had not anticipated paying for weekly pool service when the pool was installed, it would have been significantly cheaper paying Hedrick to service my pool last year than the cost I will incur for the new liner. Additionally, it is such a treat to have a virtually "maintenance free" pool. I cannot recommend this company more highly.

The initial installation of our pool a few years ago was great -- Hendrick's team was able to complete the job on time, despite rainy weather and the fact that they encountered some unexpected problems along the way. Hendrick's team is always timely in coming out to open and close the pool for the season, which we appreciate. However, we have had a series of problems with the pool each year since installing it (in 3 summers we have replaced the liner once, the filter motor twice, the automatic pool cover keypad twice, and the switch for the pool cover once). In fairness to Hendricks, they have always covered items under warranty without issue, but the problems are not without expense to us (for example, $700 to replace the water in the pool when the liner was replaced "under warranty"). Our biggest disappointment came this summer when on a beautiful Fathers Day weekend, we were unable to use the pool the entire weekend because the switch to the automatic pool cover failed and the electrician that Hendricks uses wasn't available. I would have expected the company to find an alternative to ensure we could get same day service rather than have a long term customer miss out on an entire holiday weekend.

We hired Hendrick Pool service beginning in August of 2012 on the recommendation of an acquaintance and Angie's List reviews. We had never cared for a pool, but purchased a home with one. Our first full summer of service (2013) did not go very well. Sometimes our calls were not returned or someone would take a message for another but our queries went unanswered. They did come out and do pool school, which we appreciated and it helped us understand our pool a little better. How well the pool was maintained seemed to depend on who the crew was or if we were out watching them or not. They were suppose to vacuum each time, but we witnessed them just using a skimmer in the corners of the deep end several times. Sometimes it appeared that they didn't even do that, or the steps would be dirty or the skimmer basket not emptied. We brought this to the owner's attention late in the season and he assured us they were vacuuming each time (how would he know?) and after some back and forth, he agreed to refund our money for two of the weekly maintenance times, I do believe. Also, the water was so cloudy toward the end of the season that we did not feel safe letting the children in the pool. We missed out on at least 5 weeks of swimming due to them not being able to get the chemicals balanced. On top of that, they assumed we had done something to cause this imbalance when we had not changed our use patterns at all. They finally conceded to paying half of the pool chemicals for those last weeks trying to correct the problem. I guess our main problem was that not all weekly maintenance was performed, but they still charged for the full amount each time as if they'd done it all. That seems dishonest to us, so we will not have them back.

The services by Hendricks were excellent. In fact, Hendricks identified and fixed issues that we had struggled with for the past several years that our prior pool company could not resolve.

They did a good job. They came out and replaced. They had to verify the part was bad and the date on it. That is something they need for the warranty of my pool. They didn't install it, there were someone who did it for me. They are on schedule and they know what they are doing. They are usually pretty busy so that's the only negative.

Like clockwork. This is the second season Gary has closed our pool. His crew comes in, gets the job done, leaves no mess at all. Spring of 2012 all equipment started right up. The liner lifted slightly through the winter to no fault of his. We were not diligent about removing the water that collected on top of the automatic cover, which caused the water level in the pool to drop, causing the liner to lift. Even though the issue was due to our negligence, he was out within 24 hours of my call, resolved the problem and didn't charge a dime for the trip. I have now opened the pool for the 2013 season, and once again everything looks great. I would highly recommend his services, opening, closing, renovating, and even building pools to anyone without hesitation.

Gary did a full renovation of 17'ish year old in ground pool badly in need of repair. Gary often worked along side his crew on the pool repairs/replacements, coordinated well with his concrete supplier for the new decking, coordinated well with his electrician for all new electrical, and worked his schedule around our less than helpful landscaper who was responsible for the extended travertine decking. From start to finish Gary was reliable and flexible with his schedule to work well around others. All of the men on his crew were very professional and efficient. Gary went out of his way to help me with other issues related to moving landscaping materials even though it was not at all his responsibility.

In (2) days They got the pool from being An eye sore to a beautiful pool to swim in. Amazing Job. Far better than others Companies I have used. Men very polite ad informative.

They were very polite and the sweetest people. They said they were not able to fit me in, but were very accommodating. I had a leak someplace on our hottub so I kept calling. They found someone that could come fix the problem and he did a great job. He also came by to follow up on the project to make sure it was still working properly.

They are local, close to us, and responsive. We have had some problems, but will continue to use them.

They do an excellent job, and they are wonderful people. They come out in a timely manner, and they answer all my questions and give me a thorough response. They run a good business.

We have used them for several years for pool openings and closings. They also installed a new pool liner and water heater two years ago and did a great job. We have recommended them to friends, and they have been happy with them also.

The quote was for $40000. Everything has been fantastic.

Hendricks did a great job. He has also installed our pool heater and repaired our filter pump. He does great work at a fair price.

With pools you wonder where the fee schedule comes from. Other than the expense I thought things went well and it seems to be working well. They did a good job. Some of the advice we received wasn?t exactly spot on. We are still dealing with one issue with them, but it is not a major one. You have to maintain a salt level when you have a salt generator in a pool and he had given us some advice to put a couple more bags of salt in the pool. It raised the height of the salt level to a pretty excessive level. Other than that everything went as well as I imagined it going. My wife dealt with him mostly. He was pretty exceptional for coming out in comparison to other pool places.

Great. Gary was accurate on price and time line, no hidden costs added midway through project like the horror stories we have heard from others. The guys he worked with for excavation, landscaping and cement work were all fantastic. Follow-up has been great!
