R & S Tree Service

A dead ash tree was close to our house and needed to come down. Their quote was less than I expected, they showed up sooner than I was expecting, and got the job done faster than I thought it would go. They chopped the tree into firewood length and left it for me to use, and cleaned up everything else.

My parents, Jay and Mary Davis, had a very large tree next to their house that they wanted removed. They called R&S Tree Service and Mr. Riddle came out right away and gave them a written estimate for $2000 to cut down the tree, cutting the stump close to the ground, and cleaning up. My parents decided to go ahead with the work, and the R&S crew were out the next day to remove the tree. They were all very professional, and it didn't take long to take down the tree. However, when they finished, they left a 4-5 ft stump. They told my mom they could not cut it down any further because there was metal all thru the tree and it would damage their chain saws. They finished cleaning up and left. My parents are now left with a large tree stump in their backyard. We called someone else out, and got an estimate of $300 to finish the job, and was told there was no metal in the tree. Needless to say, We're not happy that R&S did not complete the job they quoted, and my parents are now going to be out an additional $300 to finish the work. Had R&S completed the job they quoted, we would definitely use them again. Sadly, that's not going to happen. UPDATE: Mr. Riddle has offered to come out and finish removing the stump. We really appreciate his professionalism in finishing this job and will definitely recommend this company to others.

Went very well. 1. Came gave me estimate 2. Were professional- knew exactly which trees were which0 names of all trees! Listened to what I wanted done and they definitely told me all they would do. Had it in writing for me with estimate. 3. Came when they said- prompt! 4. Nice job cutting back tree limbs! Easy to work with!

James the gentlemen who worked up the contract for tree trimming was professional, not pushy.

I have three large silver maples that were getting close to my roof and my neighbors roof. The branches I needed to trim were too high for me so I needed to hire someone. Ed Riddle of R and S Tree service came out and gave me an estimate and told me exactly what they would do. They happen to be doing work in our town the next day so I scheduled it for the next day. They came out and did an excellent job and cleaned everything up nicely. The only thing that would have been better is that he said he would be out in the afternoon to do the estimate and he showed up in the morning because he was already in the area. I was already home so it wasn't a problem for me but if I had happen to leave the house I would have missed him. Otherwise, excellent work and I would use them again.

THEY ARE GREAT. WE HAVE USED THEM FOR YEARS. WHEN THEY GIVE YOU AN ESTIMATE, THEY STICK TO IT, EVEN IF THEY GO OVER THE AMOUNT. THEIR PRICES ARE VERY, VERY REASONABLE COMPARED TO OTHER COMPANIES. IT IS A FAMILY OWNED BUSINESS AND THEY ARE ALL VERY NICE AND CARING PEOPLE. I JUST CAN'T SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT THEM.
