Kingdom Roofing Systems

There is a short story and a longer story for those of you that like to read in full details and those of you that just want a glimmer of what happened and why I suggest staying away. SHORT STORY: Terrible communication from start to finish. I'm rather certain (as are 2 other companies) that they did not complete the repair that they said they did. They can't prove to me beyond a reasonable doubt that they did and refuse to give me my $800+ back. Also, all of their employees have been nothing but rude except Ryan Martladge who I spoke to after the first incident but he isn't back until Wednesday (7/20/21) and everyone refuses to let him know that I've called and asked to speak to him (even before he was out of the office). Very untrustworthy. LONG STORY: We had a leak in a very odd spot so we knew it had to be related to the roof and not plumbing. The first time we called, they rather quickly decided it was the pipe boot that goes over the bathroom vents and "replaced" both vents. Terrible communication is what did me in the first time. People just showing up unannounced and in unmarked vehicles, etc. The second time I attempted to use them, it got way worse. The leak randomly came back 6 months later and I had spoken to Ryan Martladge after the first incident and he told me to call him if the problem came back to give them another try. Kingdom was my first call with the leak reappeared and they sent out Austin Collier. Austin showed up and was here for about a total of 20 minutes. He went on the roof and couldn't see anything obvious so he decided and told me that it had to be the part that goes along the seam where the two sides meet and that we should replace it. He said he'd send me a quote. Which I still have yet to recieve. After I received no quote, I called two other companies to come out and both other companies spent 2+ hours trying to figure out the source of the leak and after going on the roof (and knowing that I had told them that the pipe boots got replaced in December 2020), they both came back and said that they were very certain that those pipe boots weren't new. Also, both other companies ended up finding the source of the leak which had absolutely nothing to do with the pipe boots. I attempted to reach out to the company to ask if they could prove that they did the repair that they say they did, and all I got was an order form (which that only proves you ordered something but not that it got installed) and a "before" photo from very far away. They had no other proof and refused to give me a refund on what I'm quite certain they did not replaced. I hope they learn to take before and after photos if nothing else.

Purchased an Angie’s deal. The deal only paid for them to come out and give me an estimate. Estimates are normal given free of charge. Won’t use them ever or purchase any Angies List Deals

I called on a Thursday because my roof was leaking. They showed up on Sunday because they were leaving for a trip out of the country the next day. Placed a large tarp on the roof and secured it with many nails. Could not get them to return and fix the roof or remove their tarp. Tarp was destroyed from being up there so long, 7 to 8 months. I had to hire other people to fix the roof. Turns out it was only 1 nail pop causing the leak along with all the damage from the nails use to hold the tarp on. Now this company wants to charge me $500 for work they didn't do. They did more damage and cost me more money. I will never pay them. I'll pay $5,000 to a lawyer before I pay them a dime.

Very quick and professional. Needed a whole roof replacement done in a week's time and they were able to take care of it ASAP. Would use again.

Always called back promptly but some trouble with scheduling due to weather. Overall great service and I’d call them first if I ever needed additional work done.

They came out within a few days of calling. The day they came, they told me they would call back asap, and said maybe even the same day with a plan. 10 days later, I had not heard. I had to call them back to find out what was going on. When they called back, they left a message and said they could not find a mason, and I should try to find one on my own. I am not sure why they call themselves contractors if they expect me to find my own mason, and their follow-up was horrible.

We had a hail storm last month and I called Dan with Kingdom Construction. He was out within an hour to survey my home. There was extensive hail and wind damage. Kingdom Construction walked me through the entire process from start to finish. All of the crews were nice and friendly. I am very happy with the service and would recommend this company to anyone who needs any kind of repair or remodel to there home.

It went really well. They started and got done in a lot less time than I was expecting and the results are beautiful. I truly couldn't be happier with the outcome! The garage door still isn't painted, but that's not Kingdom Construction's job. I have included a before and after picture of the front of the house.

There was a intermittent roof leak that I did tell them about before they came. They said they did come but he was unable to locate the leak. He did let us know that we need a new roof. We were also to receive a written report and never did. I have no proof that they ever really came. He offered to credit me $300 based on a quote to re shingle the roof, which I never got that quote either.

I could not have hired a better company.... the best around hands down

I hired them to do a roof previously and it went so well I called them back when I needed windows..,, the experience was the same. They sold me extremely high quality windows , with a great value, gave me the receipts needed for my tax refund and beat 3 others price big time! I wish I could afford to keep them at my house full time lol!

This was a large investment for me as I have a good size roof. I got estimates from 4 or 5 different places before I contacted Kingdom Construction. Those places left me feeling uneasy and differences in prices had me scratching my head. I'm glad I kept searching. Dealing with Kingdom Construction was a different experience. I felt when explaining my options and costs they were giving it to me straight- no pressure, no song and dance. They were not the highest price and they were not the lowest price, but when I asked what value the higher cost is adding they gave me an answer. I got an amazing warranty that no one else could come close to. Lets put it this way I'm nearly forty years old and I will not have to contend with this roof again outside an act of mother nature. Shawn was a pleasure to do business with- friendly and professional. He kept in contact throughout the process and went out of his way when we were not sure about which color to pick. He even helped me temporarily fix my roof to keep it from leaking while waiting on the shingles! The work was started when I was told it would be and they finished my large roof in a little more than a day. Shawn sent pictures to us while we were at work to show us the progress of our new roof. I am very happy overall. This was a daunting project starting out but turned into a pleasant experience.

The project manager was very professional. I purchased the Owens Corning Platinum Preferred roof system. The roof came with a Lifetime Workmanship warranty from the factory. This is the only company anywhere close to me that could even offer this. This was very important to me because my last roofer disappeared after I paid him almost 2x more than our contract. My roof is gorgeous and the crew put my roof on in 1 day! They were professional and all very kind. My siding is amazing, my windows are amazing, and I could not be happier. I am very grateful I made the decision to go with Kingdom Construction!

The work that was completed was done well, but the contract manager didn't stay in contact with his workers.

I contacted Kingdom Construction because of good reviews and their coupon on Angie's List. At the time the coupon noted a specific price for a roof exactly the size of my home and garage, so I asked asked if I could get it done for the coupon price. The responder on Angie's list said that the coupon was no longer valid and referred me to another coupon at a higher price. This discrepancy may have been an issue on the part of Angie's List and not Kingdom Construction - I was never able to find out. I set an appointment with Jason for an estimate, and it was cancelled twice due to threatening weather. Jason did cancel with reasonable notice and rescheduled. I did finally receive an estimate by text and then email but never received one in writing. The cost was significantly higher than the current coupon price so during the last week of August I requested via email that Jason review his bid and asked if he could do the job for the coupon price. He responded that he would check with his management team to see if he could do anything for me. When I had heard nothing by 9/11 I emailed again and asked if he had any feedback on my questions. Jason did not respond and I've not heard from Kingdom Construction again, so I chose another contractor. I can't speak to the quality of their construction but I was disappointed at the lack of professionalism I experienced with this company.

The job was completed on time and for a very good price. The materials are high quality and I have no complaints on workmanship. I was comfortable with the workers, they were hard working and wanted me to be happy with their work. My expectations were pretty high since the home cost $750,000 to build and I was not disappointed.

We only use Kingdom. We have no reason to call anyone else. We are so confident in them we don't even get a second opinion or quote.... we know people always say get 3 but why fix what is not broken?

I worked with Daniel Young, one of the owners of the company. He worked directly with my insurance company and the process from the beginning to the end was completely streamlined. We did some additional work and he offered me a 10% discount because of my military background. That was not requested by on my part, but he insisted, which was greatly appreciated. Its nice to see companies who honor military personnel. The crews were top class. They showed up in very clean trucks, with Kingdom uniforms and completed the entire project in only a few days. Daniel also offered to upgrade my roof to a specialty shingle for his cost because of my military history. He took it as far as to be willing to finance the upgrade for me. After discussing with my wife we decided to not do it because we are working to become debt free, but this was a very kind gesture. We will call Kingdom for all of our construction needs. I have seen a lot of there work, including interior remodeling. This company is a real class act. Thank you Kingdom! You saved us a ton of money!

I contacted Kingdom Construction because my crawl space was filling with water and the duct work was ruined. Dan Young (owner) explained how a crawl space water proofing would help and explained how his house was done in the same manner. Everything went great, right down the specific details. Dan explained everything and even gave me options on cost and expenses so I wouldn't feel overwhelmed. Dan explained the most efficient way and the cost but gave other options and less expensive products also. Dan went over each step of the process and explained what the workers would be doing. The workers came over and worked as hard as anyone I've ever seen work. Not only were they fast at what they were doing, they were all friendly and didn't mind explaining things to me. There was a little more work involved that what was originally expected but I never felt pressured or taken advantage of. Dan sold me what was needed and nothing more. After everything was completed I went under the house and couldn't believe I was in the same crawl space. It was all white and clean, the seams were all taped together and the walls were all sealed off from outside.

Never had a better experience. They are always our first call.

My wife and I purchased a new home that needed flooring and a roof repair but we were on a limited budget. Kingdom Construction has a really good reputation so I contacted them. When the project manager came I told him our situation and he helped me stay in budget and met all of our needs. He was extremely knowledgeable about the products he suggested and helped my wife pick out a color she was happy with. Overall the project was very smooth. We signed a contract, the flooring was delivered in 2 days, and took them 2 days to install. On the roofing side, we really needed a new roof but this was just not in our budget. I explained that to him, and the great part was he did not pressure us to do something we were not able to do. He explained the repairs were temporary and that we needed to get our roof replaced once we were able to. He also offered to finance the project, which was nice, but we just don't have the extra money to even pay monthly. We will wait for our tax return! Thanks for being awesome Kingdom!

With the size of the project I knew I had to do my research and find the correct contractor. I had a project manager that helped with everything from the design on the new kitchen/bathrooms to helping me pick out the materials. For the work that was completed they were priced very competitive but their materials used were better than what others offered. This was one of the reasons I chose this contractor. Spending this much money I wanted to receive top materials and warranties, which Kingdom included. The job went very smoothly, actually better than I anticipated. If I could do it all over again, I would choose this company. I feel that I got an incredible value. The big deal for me was as a woman I did not get taken advantage of. That is huge.

These guys were honestly the best company to work with. We have been burnt so many times by contractors. They did exactly what they said they would and over-delivered even. They were orient with my wife and helped with the design. I am going to tell all of our friends and family about hem. They have restored my trust back into contractors. If you are reading this and in the market for a construction project. Take it for me and call them.

I purchased a deal for a roof tune-up. There was some miscommunication with scheduling, but after getting that worked out they did set up a time to come check out the roof. The work to be done was more extensive than the deal was for, so we ended up hiring someone else.
