Our first meeting Benny was very personable but he acted like he knew it all. "I've been doing this 30 years" yada yada. I told him the one thing we wanted in the kitchen (angled corners). The first drawing came in and no rounded corners. We changed a couple of things and said again " angle these corners ". Second drawing came in and no rounded corners. It was frustrating to say the least that a guy that had been not listening to people for thirty years was treating us the same because we didn't have Angie's list. Next we decided to shop around. We went to another company that was offering the same product at a little bit better price but we thought that thirty years had to mean something when it came to installing that product. One thing that we did learn from the other company was all the possible options offered when it came to cabinets. When we went back to Benny at Winnelson we were able to tell him exactly what we wanted because the employee at the other company really knew what she was talking about. We told him EXACTLY what we wanted and of course it was messed up. He didn't listen yet again. While on order we were worried that he was messing it up because he began to ask for money before we had seen anything. We paid and asked for an itemized bill. He would not give us one. Another email from my wife requesting it and still no itemized bill. He would not give us one. When the cabinets arrived, half of them were the wrong height. He admitted his mistake because he read his notes wrong. By this time we were 2 months in and were willing to deal with whatever to get him out of our house. He didnt order one cabinet we requested, and he didn't have the crown moulding to finish the job. It took another 6 weeks to get our house back. When the cabinet came in it was wrong. He fixed that but we had to hang it ourselves. He also charged us another $400 for the cabinet we ordered in the beginning and the crown moulding that he mis-ordered. But without an itemized bill we had nothing to argue about. We are glad it is over and will not use Benny or Winnelson ever again. We hope this helps someone else. We did not have a good experience with Benny. I think if they could get a more professional installer hired on, then the company would get praises and referrals as opposed to critics. Good luck.
