+ -1 moreIt took a few calls and a few weeks to receive a call back, but once they did everything went well. They came right out and measured the window. When the glass came in, they made the repair in a reasonable amount of time. The price was reasonable.

Description of Work: they cut a ice of mirror that was a secial size and cut some glass covers for outdoor lights. Had to call them to see if it was done. Got there and they had forgotten about the mirror. It was a little job so I guess understandable.

+ -1 moreTwo employees of Whitaker Glass showed up at the appointed time. They quickly and efficiently went about the removal of the shatteredtempered glass. While one individual removed the framework, the other individual went about the job of taking out the broken glassfragments. Great care was made to lay out a tarp-like material to collect any spillage of the old glass pieces. Within 90 minutes, they had the old glass removed and the new glass, weighing 260 lbs in place. They swept the area clean and left the surroundings in good condition. They took care not to damage any of the plants in and around the work area.
Description of Work: A 105-3/4" x 52 1/4" Clear Low-E Tempered Glass Thermopane Unit was replaced.They were the lowest of four firms solicited for bids for the work.I located them through Angie's List.Mr. Whitaker was quick prompt in responding to our request for a quote andMrs. Whitaker provided great personal customer service with prompt and accurate information.They were able to deliver the finished product within a two-week lead time compared with five week lead times offered by the other firms we contacted.

+ 0 moreTroy came out the day after I called and after looking at the windows decided that all it really needed was to replace the failed glass and that the rest of the window was usable. So rather than spend over $800 for two special order windows, the total cost was $252 for two replacement windows (by that I mean the double-glass sealed pieces). Now both windows look fabulous! This is the second time I have used Whittaker Glass to repair (different) windows. I would highly recommend them to all.
Description of Work: Replaced two separate thermo-pane double hung window glass that had become fogged (they lost the seal between the glass).

Description of Work: They installed custom windows to fit the existing frames in my 130 year old home. They did this work from the beginig of 2008 to the the fall of 2008, replacing 11 windows in all.
