Dryer maintenance was fine. The technician could not find a problem with the washer, even though it was obvious from the mildew on the floor that there was a leak somewhere. He could also smell the musty odor in the tub because it did not completely drain. He suggested that I clean the tub once a month with a diluted bleach solution. I did run an empty machjine with the bleach, but when I tried to do laundry that night, the tub did not drain and left me with a half-full tub of dirty clothes. Luckily I had a utility tub nearby. We called the next day to have Sears come out again, described the problem of having a tub full of dirty water and were not able to get an appointment for 10 days. I found this to be TOTALLY unacceptable. We scooped out as much water as possible and closed the lid on the washer to prevent the musty smell from entering the rest of the houise. According to the manual, the most likely reason for drainage problems is a blocked hose (from dog hair - a distinct possibility). However the drain on the particular model ws underneath and difficult to get to. When the second technician came, he did not look at the drain either and suggested we buy a new pump - and offered a $100 off on a new Kenmore. There was no way that I would consider another Kenmore. That used to be my breand of choice, but service is a definite necessity - and this "service" was no more than an F

It was a bad experience on the salesman’s part since I wanted to get quotes form three different people and Sears was the first one out here who basically told me that he was going to put the windows in for $7000.00 so I told him that it was fine but I had two more people coming out. So he told me that if I did not take that price today that he could not give the same price after this time since it was sales call and so I feel for the sales call and went ahead and gave the OK to put the windows in. Three days latter the other guy was scheduled to come out and quote his price to me and his price was $5000.00 so I felt that it was a very high pressured sales decision they put on me since they told me to either take this price which was their best price I could find and I had to take it today or they could not give it to me. Hence I did not like their hard price sales and so I would never buy anything from sears again. It’s not so much for the product but for their high pressured salesman.
Description of Work: I used Sears to get a quote for windows.

I have never had a problem with any Sears technician, ever. I don't think they ever try to lie. They don't ever say I can't fix it, but my brother in law sells these, they have never done that to me. They are usually out within a couple of days. They are professional. They have never let me down and always do what they say they are going to do.
Description of Work: they have serviced my refrigerator and it was part of a contract and they serviced my dishwasher that was not part of the contract.

He was really good. We had a problem with our agitator not catching on its rotations, so he fixed that. He cleaned out the water softener in our washer. He also cleaned out the dryer's lint vent.
