Kent Odom was very quick to come out and survey the home prior to providing us the estimate and in getting us the estimate. The estimated provided was very detailed, and included multiple options with various pricing levels. We went with a different configuration of HVAC system so we choose another provider. If our home had been more standard in build, we most likely would have selected Ridgway for the job. I was very impressed with Kent's professionalism, his knowledge of heating and air conditioning and the way he communicated with us every step of the way.

They have developed a plan that if you sign up with them, they will put you at the front of the list to have your units checked first at the change of the season. They offer discounts and do really great work. Overall we have been very satisfied with their service. Their prices are very reasonable, they are helpful and will come day or night if you need extra service.

We originally called them in the middle February to fix our heat pump. They told us it was too cold to do any service. We've had the unit for 8 years, and they've been out numerous times to try and fix the issue. They replaced it completely 4 years ago, yet we are still having issues with it. They finally came out in the beginning of March to actually fix the pump. We weren't at home when they came to do service, so we were never sure how long they were actually there for. They charged us even though the pump is still broken. We've paid over $600 for labor and parts, and they are unwilling to come out without charging us for more service calls. They are unreasonable, and their labor charges are outrageous. We feel they took advantage of us since we weren't at home during the service calls. Dave has always been wonderful to work with, but we have had issues with Randy during this process.

Feb 21, 2003 New customer: Installed a Goodman Heat Pump at a cost of $ 2,287.00 Warranties: Goodman Compressor and Parts - five years from original date of installation Other Installation Materials - one year from original date of installation Service and Repair Labor - one year from original date of installation July 31,2007 Compressor failed and was replaced in Goodman unit Compressor under warranty - No Charge Materials, Sales Tax, and Labor cost was $ 349.28 January 26, 2011 Unit not heating - Service call determined heat pump had developed a freon leak. Customer was advised by phone that the leak would have to be located and repaired at a later date when weather conditions were warmer to be able to locate and repair the leak. February 21, 2008 Goodman warranty expires February 15, 20 II Found leak in heat pump tube. Replaced copper tube, 3 elbows, and coupler. Charged unit with freon. Started unit and checked operation. Freon, solder, copper fillings, torch use, vacuum pump use, nitrogen cost $ 150.20 Sales Tax $ 10.51 Service call $ 79.00 Repair Labor $ 396.00 Total = $ 635.71 April 4, 2011 [this member] calls to say unit had stopped operating. Service call was set up to determine problem. Mr. Miller calls back and cancels service call. April 5,2011 Mr. Ridgway calls [member] Mr. Ridgway offers to send out a technician to diagnose problem at no additional charge. Mr. Ridgway advises customer that if the leak repair of Feb 15 is faulty, it will be corrected at no additional charge. [member] stated he was not satisfied with the unit. Mr. Ridgway encouraged him to contact Goodman customer service relations. We believe that the next step is to determine what the problem with the heat pump unit is at this time. [this member] admitted that the unit had worked and heated following the February 15,20 II repair, and that the new problem occurred the week prior to his April 4 call to our office. Once the nature of the problem is determined, we are willing to try to resolve [this members] complaint. [this member] can also contact Goodman Manufacturing via their website. Associate was professional and friendly; showed up on time and cleaned up after himself. Both my furnace and air conditioner are old; while I was open to information on new installation the associate believed my old systems would last for a few more years and did not pressure me with a hard sell.

DAVE HAD THE MOST KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE WITH APRILAIRE OF ANY OF THE COMPANIES THAT WE RESEARCHED. HE WAS THE ONLY OFFICIALLY LISTED LOCAL INSTALLER ON THE APRILAIRE COMPANY WEBSITE AT THE TIME. HE WAS EXPERT IN HIS ABILITY TO COMPARE AND CONTRAST EACH AIR FILTRATION AND HUMIDIFICATION SYSTEM. HE HAD BEEN IN BUSINESS FOR 20 YEARS. HE GAVE US A QUOTE BASED ON OUR DIGITAL PHOTO OF THE FURNACE AND A FLOORPLAN PLUS HIS FOLLOW UP QUESTIONS. WE APPRECIATED HIS SUGGESTION TO INSTALL THE SYSTEM WHEN ALL THE PARTS WERE AVAILABLE, WHICH MEANT ONLY ONE SERVICE CALL. DAVE CAME WITH THE INSTALLER, DESCRIBED THE WORK TO THE INSTALLER, AND THEN CONFIRMED THAT THE WORK HAD BEEN DONE TO OUR SPECIFICATIONS. THEY NEED TO RETURN TO ADJUST A SLIGHT RATTLE. WHILE INSPECTING THE ORIGINAL SYSTEM, DAVE NOTICED THAT OUR BUILDER NEEDED TO TWEAK OUR AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM FOR OUR NEW HOUSE AND TOLD ME WHAT TO POINT OUT TO THE BUILDER. I WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND THEM.
Description of Work: WE HAD THE APRILAIRE 5000 AIR CLEANER INSTALLED (THE ONE THAT HAS JUST BEEN NAMED THE BEST WHOLE HOUSE FILTRATION SYSTEM BY CONSUMER REPORTS)IN SEPTEMBER 2005. IN ADDITION TO THE FILTRATION SYSTEM, WE ADDED A WHOLE HOUSE BYPASS HUMIDIFIER, A UV LIGHT SYSTEM PLUS AN AUTOMATIC HUMIDISTAT FOR A TOTAL AIR SYSTEM. I WAS REALLY SURPRISED AT HOW QUICKLY THEY RESPONDED. THEY LET ME KNOW THAT THEY COULD COME OUT THE NEXT DAY. I ALREADY HAD PLANS SO WE MADE AN APPOINTMENT FOR 2 DAYS AFTER MY CALL. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL. THEY WERE VERY FRIENDLY, EVEN THE RECEPTIONIST. I WAS VERY PLEASED AND WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO OTHERS.
