Angie's List made my search for help simple and easy. "Putting Everything In It's Place" had great reviews and a Special Offer for members that was a terrific deal. I purchased and scheduled the time with just a few clicks of the mouse. Alexis responded promptly, was courteous and professional, and quickly put my fears to rest that together we could make sense of the mess I was in. Scheduling was a breeze and she communicated with me every step of the way. She arrived right on time, assessed the mountain of boxes and bags and quickly put a plan together that would provide me the most results in the time we had. She also had a large selection of awesome organizational products to choose from. As we worked together, she was very respectful of my things and mindful of the way I like things done. She made a job that I was dreading and causing me much anxiety, like a walk in the park. I was again excited about my beautiful new apartment in a new city, and in control of my stuff, not my stuff in control of me. I still have 3 hours left on my account and so I will be doing that just holding it off a little bit. She was late quite often, she keeps the appointment but just about every time she has called me to say that she is running late and she is aware of this. I am pretty much organized. I want to use my last 3 hours but if anything ever came up again I would use her.

I left several messages & emails. Her voice mail stated she will return calls within 24-48 hrs. but didn't return my call until almost 2 weeks later. The day of the service, she contacted me to inform me she will be running 30 min. late. When she arrived the service I expected was below my expectations & she cut my time in half in order to be ON TIME for another client which disappointed me because she was LATE for my service. We scheduled for another day the time I had left for my service (12-17-2014 @ 5:30pm). I contacted her on 12-17-2014 to inform her I would need to reschedule & to contact me to reschedule for another time. I didn't receive any phone call, email or voice mail from her to reschedule or following up. I left her a voice mail on 12-22-2014 to return my phone call because I haven't heard from her. She returned my phone call and gave me several excuses. I informed her of her business practices & non professional and requested my money back. She said she will honor & asked if I could contact AL...I told her she would need to contact them to receive a refund. I will NEVER use this company again!!!

We have reviewed our records which show the only time you were not contacted back within 48 hrs was over Thanksgiving weekend, that call was returned the following Monday. We did call the morning of your appointment to let you know that due to an unexpected event we would be 30 minutes late & offered a free hour of service for the inconvenience. Unfortunately we are not able to process a refund when the original purchase is through Angie's list, their policy is that purchases made through their website must be refunded by the customer contacting Angie's list. Alexis was wonderful to work with. I had some initial scheduling challenges early on that were my fault and she was very patient with me. She's also a great communicator and quick response time. Alexis came out to my house and dug right in. She didn't just sit and direct! She had great suggestions and was pleasant to work alongside. She's flexible and will split your time into more than one session, leave you with homework then come back for more. I've had a garage full of stuff for 7 years and just got my car pulled in for the first time in 7 years! All thanks to Alexis's motivation and help. I'd recommend this in a heartbeat esp for the overwhelmed, disorganized person. She took my overwhelming feelings and got them headed in the right direction!

Alexis was a tremendous help and had great ideas! She made me think through why I was storing some items! With that in mind, I was able to send a lot of items to Goodwill. It was like a weight off my shoulders to make those decisions and follow through! I then purchased another special from her and scheduled more visits. She has helped me organize my files, kitchen, and closets. We'll finish with garage and then photographs.

The work is going great, and I have paid for more time to finish another couple of areas. Alexis is super nice and non-judgmental about anyone having messy areas with too much stuff! She was very encouraging throughout the process so far and made the newly-organized areas work for my purposes. In my office she spent time with me sorting through some old papers....which to shred, which to recycle, which to file. She helped organize my filing process. We put similar things in boxes and on shelves - they are neatly labeled. I know just where everything is now. In our basement, we had old cans of paint, many of which were almost empty or not usable any more. We went through each can and kept only the useful ones. (Later, I took the rest to the toxic drop and now have so much room to use!) We also went through my holiday decorations, threw out some that were no longer used, and organized the rest in color-coded bins. Those bins stack neatly where the paint cans used to be. I'm so happy to be rid of that clutter! We went through a big closet where I had mainly wrapping paper and gift bags, and boxes for mailing. I also had gifts I've bought for future gift-giving. Everything was a mess, though, so we carefully went through everything in the closet. We tossed and recycled some things, and she put everything else back in the closet in a way that makes sense. Now the shelves are organized and the floor is clear. I can actually walk in the closet now. Again, this makes me very happy, knowing I can find what I want in that closet. We are going to do a little more work in my office now that I have fewer papers and have a better sense of where I'd like things to be. I am very pleased with Alexis. Her easy-going manner makes the job pleasant, and she has a great sense of where things should go so that they can be easily found.
Description of Work: This provider has been helping me get organized around the house. I originally bought two 'packages' of 3 hrs each for organizing services. One day we cleaned out and organized my office, another day we cleaned out a basement area, and we've tackled a couple of closets. We still have a bit more work to do which will happen soon.

She was very professional, very polite and very nice. They were just working together on stuff. She is very aggressive. She gets right in there and really works hard. She is a good worker. She came out and worked with my wife and we're very, very pleased with her. The lady was very talented. Obviously that's something that can be a little challenging. If not handled correctly it could create offense because some people are real touchy about that sort of thing but my wife was delighted with the help and as a matter of fact the lady is coming back. She really knows how to do what she does without being judgmental and self righteous. She and my wife settled off very well. So we're really happy with that. There were no additional charges beyond the two big deal purchases that me made.

We took advantage of the Angie's List Big deal. Alexis came and helped organize papers, set-up a mail system to sort mail and to help get stuff sorted. She brought everything needed to help with the project. She did several one hour sessions over several weeks. She would guide some tasks to be completed before her next visit. If you have lots of clutter and not sure where to start then I would recommend her.

She did a great job of helping me go through papers and get things filed. I had already started on my own to get organized. I thought maybe she would do a bit more with the flow of how the office was organized, which is more what I wanted, but she was more about getting things filed and put away, which was fine. It was helpful, got me started.
