Beveled Glass Designs

We first visited BGD a year ago. Wayne was very helpful and patient as we considered our options and all of their beautiful selections. He priced several different door/window combinations for us and never pressured us about moving forward. His concern was always that we found something that we were happy with and would enjoy for a long time. Ultimately, we selected a traditional 6 panel mahogany door and decided to go elsewhere for the glass sidelights. The door is wonderful, thick and solid and the stained interior is just gorgeous. It makes me happy every time I look at it. They do not paint. We really wanted a red door so they primed the front. Now we are just waiting for higher temps to paint it. Their workmen were very quick and professional. When it appeared that the door was not hanging correctly after they left, they came back promptly that same day to adjust it. We are very pleased. They are expensive but it is a high quality product.

THE FINISH ON THE DOORS IS VERY POOR QUALITY, IT IS BLOTCHY AND LOOKS AWFUL. I'VE TALKED WITH THEM ABOUT RE-DOING THE DOORS AND THEY TRY TO CONVINCE US TO JUST HAVE THEM PAINTED ON THE OUTSIDE AND CHANGE THE COLOR OF THE STAIN ON THE INSIDE. WE WOULD NOT AGREE TO THAT BECAUSE THE WOOD IN OUR WHOLE HOUSE IS MAHOGANY, AND THAT WAS THE POINT OF ORDERING THEM. THE COMPANY THEY USED TO FINISH THE DOORS IS DOING A VERY POOR JOB AND THE QUALITY OF THE MAHOGANY IS VERY POOR. THE SERVICE MANAGER EVEN TOLD US THAT THE FINISH ON THE DOORS WOULD NOT LAST 6 MONTHS. WHY WOULD I ORDER CUSTOM FINISHED DOORS AND THEN HAVE THEM PAINTED? IT JUST DOESN'T MAKE SENSE. I'M SO FRUSTRATED WITH THEM.

THIS COMPANY GAVE A REASONABLE QUOTE, WAS ON TIME AND HAD EXCELLENT PROFESSIONALISM. AL WAS A PERFECTIONIST. HE WAS ON TIME, AND HAD GOOD FOLLOW-THROUGH.

JAY IS A WONDERFUL PERSON. HE GAVE US A LOT OF DETAILS ABOUT DOORS. THE DOOR CAME IN ABOUT FIVE MONTHS AFTER WE ORDERED THE DOOR. MY HUSBAND WAS AMAZED AT THE SKILLS THE WORKERS HAD.
