This is hard to believe but the HVAC guy that installed the GeoThermal refused to repair it because it was 4 years old. I found Geothermal Specialist through HomeAdvisor, these people got on the repair in less than 24 hours after my call, but also showed me that the Modine Geothermal has a 10 year parts and labor warranty.

Steve is amazing! Called me within minutes of submitting a request, even though he was not feeling well! Even remembered meeting me a year ago in passing... You just don't get that anymore from anyone! Then Melissa seconds later to schedule. Dave & Brandon were professional, knowledgeable, and on the spot! Don't know if you guys will see this... Very knowledgeable. I ve had this geothermal system for 7 years. Annual checkups and cleaning. This is the first company I have felt actually understood the system fully and the did a great job

If a zero star was possible on Google, this would be a zero. Geothermal Specialists contacted us in January 2018 to schedule an appointment for a Comfort Care Maintenance service that they recommended to us. Since we had previously used this company to provide repair service on our Geothermal Unit, we agreed to schedule the appointment. A technician was sent to our home on 3/6/18 and completed the $195 service . Minutes after the tech left, my husband noticed that the Geothermal unit was now leaking. He called the tech back to our house and after examining the leak, the tech explained that a chemical he flushed through the unit as a part of the maintenance process created the leak as the unit was very old and the chemicals were too harsh. He then recommended that we purchase a new unit ($11,000) to replace the old one, but if we were unable to do that, they could repair the leak for approx. $700 but it would be a week before someone could return to do it. We asked to speak with the owner, since this seemed unfair as their company encouraged and mislead us into receiving the service, and now the service had caused a leak that they were now asking us to pay an additional $700 to repair. On 3/6/18 we spent the night without heat, on 3/7/18 we called another company to repair the unit. The company that repaired the unit on 3/7/18 only charged us $250, compared to the $700 Geothermal Services wanted to charge to fix a leak they caused. The reader can do the math on that. After contacting the main office to request a refund for the $195 comfort care maintenance service, Steve, the owner of Geothermal Specialists called me at 5 pm on 3/7/18 and would not take any accountability for the fact that their maintenance service initiated the leak on our unit. He then said he would issue a $195 refund, ONLY IF we agreed to sever ties with their company, call someone else to repair the leak they caused, and not share any negative feedback about their company online/ or otherwise. We of course didn't agree to that for a number of reasons, which should be obvious to most people. He then said he would no longer issue a refund since we could not agree to the terms he outlined. I filed a complaint with the Indiana Attorney General's consumer protection office and the Better Business Bureau, both complaints are currently being investigated. I was not at all surprised to discover that this was not the first complaint filed with the Better Business Bureau on Geothermal Specialists. We have never had to leave negative feedback on any company we have ever done business with, but this was the worst experience we've ever had with any company. After using this company's repair services for over 1 year, paying in full for each service, even if we felt the prices were inflated, we were very disappointed by the carelessness of the service provided and the failed attempt by the owner Steve to intimidate us as if we have done something wrong. Steve is very knowledgeable about geo thermal systems. He does good work at a reasonable price.

Responded next day. Found the problem, ordered needed parts and got the job done. Called us back and kept us informed as to where in the parts order process and repair schedule we were at. Very easy to do business with. We now have a new company to call for any future repairs.

Affordable, Dependable and Polite! Scott (Owner) called and asked many questions before assigning Matt (Service Tech) our work order. Steve was asking these questions to not only determine if a service call could be avoided, but to also insure Matt had all the right tool to complete the repair. With winter already here an Arctic Blast coming, Matt diagnosed our our problem and preformed the necessary repairs to bring our home to be comfortable again. My thanks to both Steve and Matt! Geothermal heating would not be possible at my residence. This business was very helpful in evaluating our situation and referred us to a business which we hired to install a conventional AC system.

Anyone considering a geothermal heating system or replacing their current one should not hesitate to contact this company. . they know geothermal inside and out. . professional, quality company that assesses your needs accurately, has great communication, is neat and tidy about their work and the new system up and running within two days. . . couldn't be happier with the whole process.
