We really enjoyed working with Scott and his team. We did a huge remodel project with him that spanned several months. Scott was one of three contractors that we worked with to quote this job. From the beginning we liked him the best and his quote came in the lowest which made the decision an easy. His team did a great job of communicating with us what was happening and when. They were very courteous, professional, and were kind of members of our family for a while. We did experience unplanned issues along the way, but Scott was quick to deal with them in a way that was acceptable to us. We would highly recommend them to anybody looking to do some work on their home.

I had a bad leak in a bathroom which required the replacement of the subfloor, floor, vanity, and some drywall. S. Brown Construction worked with me to design a beautiful new bathroom with new tile and vanity. As they did the remodel, they protected the carpet on their entrance and path to the bathroom so that no damage was done to the rest of the house. Ella and Alex worked with me on scheduling their work with my schedule.

In October of 2021, my neighbor was to get an extension done on their house. S. Brown Construction company used the space between our houses without survey, my knowledge, or my permission. They drove heavy machinery through the yards causing damage seen in the pictures. The yard needed leveled due to the ruts from the equipment and graded due to the farming fields in the back. The owner, Scott Brown, initially had typed a letter stating he would fix the yard. Come April 2022, I come home to find straw in the yard. Again, no communication from the company and when I attempted to contact the owner to ask what had happened and explain I was not okay with having people on my property doing things without my knowledge, Scott Brown’s response was, “Look lady, it’s not a big deal”. It is to someone who cares, Scott. I would advise anyone who uses this company to make sure they respect not just your property but also your neighbors. I would also make sure that they have all their ducks in a row before starting their project as they had to go back and fix the one I with my neighbor due to them trying to fill in a city/farm drainage ditch.

S. Brown Construction Co. built a 400-square-foot addition to our house, integrated it with the existing structure, and also remodeled a bathroom. From the early design phase to the final completion, the team worked closely with us to ensure that our wishes were fulfilled, including not only the construction itself but also the budget. Based on our initially rough ideas, the chief designer developed a very creative and attractive plan and had a keen eye for detail. The team also worked hard to complete the project on schedule despite the challenges posed by the pandemic.

They installed the deck and railing on our front porch. Construction is consistent for gaps and well done. Rails are solidly mounted and the railing is straight. Work areas are clean after completion. Workman are very positive and concerned about the job and our acceptance.

The work went very well, they did a very good job, quality of the work was very good, people onsite was very good and courteous.

We couldn’t be happier with the new room that the S. Brown Construction Company recently built to replace our old 10 x 18 solarium. From the beginning, we felt confident that Scott understood what we wanted and that we were comfortably “on the same page” with him. The S. Brown Construction team worked with us and came up with an excellent plan. They suggested smart options that improved upon our original ideas. Communication throughout the planning and construction process was smooth and pleasant. The craftsmanship throughout construction was at a high level and the finish work was exceptional. Now that we are using our new room, we are really appreciating the extra care that S. Brown Construction took in designing and building it. It’s comfortable and beautiful and we are very pleased with the design and materials that were used. We’re so glad that we chose S. Brown Construction Company for this project and would definitely choose them again.
