LOWE'S

I didn't have them install. I bought it and they delivered it. The guy that delivered it said there was a very small dent on the refrigerator, I mean he found it. He offered to get a replacement part or to give a discount. I thought that was very good of him.

We purchased two gallons of deck stain and later found out there was a rebate on it. They allowed us to return our original purchase and re-purchase it for the rebate.

Initially, I was suspicious of Lowe's, a big box national chain. When I approached Mike Peterson, one of the cabinet people there, I did not have high hopes. However, Mike quickly showed me what it meant to be a pro. 1. Mike moves very quickly. It only took him 2 days to put together the initial design, after he had got the measurement. 2. Mike is very responsive to my email queries, and usually responds within the same day. 3. Mike is very knowledgeable about Kraftmaid cabinets, and has good tastes. (1) there is a large surface area where my line of floor cabinets faces the eat-in area and I asked Mike's inputs for decorating this area. His answer: 3 door panels side by side. Simple. I am looking at that surface area right now. It really looks good. (2) I like glass-door wall cabinets but could not figure out what to put in where. In my initial design I put 2 narrow glass-door units on either side of a corner unit. They looked so weird that I gave up on them. Again Mike had a solution: reduce the size of the corner unit. I am looking at the finished product now. The corner unit is still large enough for my storage needs, and the 2 glass doors, wider, look great. 4. In the installation stage, design met reality and various issues came up (I believe this is true of any design and any plan). On some occasions I needed additional parts (e.g. a valence), and on other occasions the ordered parts did not work as expected. When I told Mike I needed new parts, he never asked "whose fault is this?", but ordered these parts promptly, free of charge, and having them delivered to my house. This is one of the best customer-service experiences I have ever had. Overall, Lowe's has surpassed all my expectations, especially in post-sales customer service. A very pleasant surprise!

I have had some experience with Lowe's Flooring. The cost for the job done was approximately between $2,000 and $4,000 as I don't really remember. Overall the job went very well. After shopping around, I found their price competitive and the installers who came to do the job were really good. I have never had a good experience whenever I have had to go into the store to buy something because I have found them very disorganized. I had to sit around and wait anytime I went into the store for any reason. I would recommend this company to anyone although I strongly recommend that the person also seriously consider having the material delivered to the house instead of going to the store to get them yourself. This is because I found that to be the most painful part of the process since I had to go to the store and wait for about an hour while they forklifted everything I needed down from the back. That part was not very fun.

It was good. They are very reasonable and very ready to compete with others.

They are always helpful and friendly. We have not had them do any renovation work, although we did ask for information re flooring.

Most of my blinds were custom ordered through Lowe's. Lowe's sent someone out to make measurements originally. A few weeks later the blinds arrived at my home and Lowe's promptly contacted me to set up an install date for a few days later. The install went fine though one set was a bit too long (I understand...it happens, these are tricky custom made blinds) so the installer contacted the mini blind company for replacements. Those arrived at Lowe's about 2 weeks later. I happened to be in the area so picked them up myself. The installer contacted me that morning and stopped by to install the 2nd set that afternoon with no problems. If I had done this on my own and measured wrong in the first place who knows....maybe I'd have had to eaten the cost of the replacements... These blinds would have been a nightmare for me to install myself anyway. I consider the small install fee for Lowe's to do the work was a steal and will have them do this kind of work for me again!

They quoted me $4500. I liked the warranty with Lowe's, so chances of them packing up and moving out of the country or going out of business is low and that was probably a big selling point for me. Plus, I saw them do a roofing job across the street, it was done in a day and the cleanup was meticulous, so they did a good job there. The estimate was timely and thorough. They came and talked about my options that they offered.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal purchase that I made. I used the card soon after, there were no problems, that was great. In fact, it was nice to get a $20 card for $5, that's great! I paid a little more than the card. We've always liked Lowe's. The only thing is that we have a Menards and it's usually cheaper and it's closer so we don't probably go to Lowe's nearly as much as we used to when we lived in Lafayette, now we're in West Lafayette. We don't go there as much but they have certain tools and certain brands that you can't find at Menards and so we go to Lowe's for those kinds of things and we've also purchased quite a few appliances from them, stoves, refrigerators, and those kinds of things, and they are very, very good pricing wise, and they have the brands. We also had them do some flooring for us, we bought raw flooring and had their crew come out and had it installed so we've done a lot of business with them through the years, it's just that the pricing is a little bit pricier than Menards so for most things I end up at Menards but we've been very happy with Lowe's. There was one salesperson in the appliance area that we always went to and he always helped us out all the time. It was always a pleasant experience there, we've never had any problems with Lowe's. There are probably more people to help you there than at Menards, there's always somebody to talk to you.

I had no problems. The contractors they used were excellent and I was really pleased with the work. They did answer our questions. We had to wait for getting things to install and there was no problem with getting things delivered and it really was not their fault, it was due to my working schedule. It all went fine and they did a good job. They were always punctual.

The materials that Lowe's delivered were partially correct and they were able to get the right height of fence materials to our house in a matter of hours. The contractors were professional and their work was very good.
