Ms. Davis was the seller's agent for a house that we were in contract to purchase. The house inspection indicated that some work was needed. According to three different estimates, approximately $9,000 worth of work was needed. When we sent an addendum that we expected the sellers to pay for this work (which should have been taken care of years prior), the response from Ms. Davis was that our estimate was unreasonable despite our multiple estimates, that the sellers would choose the contractor (who was recommended by Ms. Davis), and that the sellers would not complete the total repairs needed. When we walked away from the deal, Ms. Davis blamed us for the failure of the sale, claiming that we had not completed our contractual obligations on time, although this was not true. After we made it clear that the deal was done and we no longer wanted to purchase the house, Ms. Davis suddenly seemed willing to negotiate past her sellers' previous ceiling. At this point, we no longer trusted her, and wanted out of the deal, and it took the threat of contacting a lawyer to end it. Ms. Davis seemed perfectly willing to bully our agent and us in order to make a deal, when we could have been perfectly happy in the house if she had not been playing games with the cost of the needed work. In our opinion, her tactics hurt us, the sellers, our agent, and herself. Do not use this agent. If you are a buyer, avoid any properties represented by this agent. If you are a seller, seek representation elsewhere.
