He was very professional and did a very good job of explaining what he was going to inspect in my home. He inspected my whole house from the crawl space to the roof. All issues were documented with pictures, and he explained what needed to be fixed and made suggestions on how to fix the problems. In my opinion, it was a very good experience.
Description of Work: He did a thorough inspection of my house.

I am sure that it was probably required, but the initally, inspector spent a lot of time just going over the disclaimers and limits of liabilities and such. They make you sign the receipt and waiver form. This company comes off feeling very defensive from the start. - The inspector turned on all the water in the house to let water accumulate in pipes to check for leaks. He did find some...so good deal with that approach. However, his assistant didn't notice where the water was spraying after he turned on the showers in both of the bathrooms. We had a good puddle on both floors by the time I discovered it. - I was not impressed by the lack of effort in such details as: acknowledged smoke alarms, but didn't test them. Crawlspace had foam insulation around the foundation and he said because of that he didn't know if there were any cracks or problems under it. He checked how the GFI plug outlets get reset only after I asked. - The report you get is full of disclaimers and advice on stuff ......like water flow from downspouts and gutter cleaning extend the life of the house. Lots of pages in that report, but it really boils down to 1 or 2 (Major and Minor defect summary) that are really useable. - We had just had the experience of using another inspector on another house a couple of months ago. I say this because two recent experiences gave us some good insight. The other was so much better!
