The product could not be delivered because Home Depot doesn't use a service that delivers products in a truck other than a full sized semi. DON'T USE THEIR FREE SHIPPING OFFER....IT'S USELESS unless you live in a location that will allow for a full sized semi to make the delivery.

We sought three quotes. Chose HD based on price, product, and customer service. We initially wanted an undermounted sink with 1" reveal and were told by competitors that it could not be done. HD called their fabricator L.E. Smith and confirmed that they indeed could do it. 2 weeks later a call comes in that they cannot do it or would not do it. Miscommunication #1. This was a major disappointment and we continued the process because no one else could do it. This slowed the project a couple weeks. A visit by the estimator was next. The plan drawn at HD showed a radius end to one countertop, a prominent feature in our design. This was not communicated to the estimator. Fortunately I was there and caught it. He sketched it in and that was taken care of. Miscommunication #2. It was so noted. About 4 weeks later we got a call on, I think a Thursday, that installer would be there Saturday. I intended to remove the old countertop and sink but was hoping for more notice so fixes coudl be made behind the wall after old countertop was removed. The installer was prompt, courteous, and professional. One piece of the countertop had a nick, some glue-type stains and light scratches on the edge. We rejected this piece and he communicated to the fabricator that replacement was needed. Miscommunication #3. I expected the installer to install the sink. That apparently was not the case due to the first miscommunication when the sink would not be fabricated with the counterop. I, the owner, was by default now to install the sink. Fortunately I have the skill to install the new sink and faucet set but it cost me a Sunday afternoon to complete the installation. Two weeks later the replacement piece arrived and was installed promptly and the job completed to our satisfaction. I found the HD personnel and the Servicemaster installers receptive and responsive to my phone calls but it seems working with HD requires much customer involvement and follow up.
