Flooring Specialists contacted me immediately upon my call, and I intend to use them; however, I do not intend to have the work done until March. A contact was made with Flooring Specialists, and Dan came within just a few days of my call. He patiently explained what he felt needed to be done, he measured two rooms and sent a printed summary of what each aspect of each room would cost. I finally decided that I would only have one room done at this time. (He even answered my many questions regarding types of wood I might like and made suggestions about coloring, etc.) He was more than accommodating regarding a start date, and he and Dave arrived on the day and at the time promised. From the first contact to the final one, I absolutely could not have asked for more. They were polite, skillful and careful to please in every way. They seemed quite comfortable with their work, and it was obvious that they were well experienced in their field of work. I felt perfectly comfortable in leaving them in my home while I ran all my errands, and found them to be most accommodating in keeping messes outside and to a minimum. I wish I could think of all the ways they made this 2 1/2 day experience such a pleasant one. They were just everything and more that I could have aske. My floor is gorgeous - - PERFECT! I'll be thanking these Floor Specialists for years to come! FECT

They did an exceptional job. The floors were exceptional. They were fantastic. Since it could be a very dusty job, there was particularly no dust whatsoever in the house. They did a wonderful job about keeping everything clean and dust free. I thought the price was a little high.

The floors look VERY nice. It is owned by the same people who used to be Henderson Hard Wood Floors. They cleaned up every day and finished when they said the would.

From the first meeting to the last little tweak, we were extremely happy not only with the beautiful refinishing of the floors but with the professionalism of the installers. They are willing to go the extra mile to make sure you have the results you were hoping for. We would be very comfortable recommending them.

They arrived when they had arranged, removed the quarterround molding, sanded the floors with little flying dust, and applied 3 coats of finish. The floors looked great when they were done.

It went really well. They responded to our initial contact promptly and set a date for an estimate. Again it was provided promptly. We had the recommendation from Angie's List, and we when we found out who the provider was, we already knew him, so, we did not get another estimate. It seemed like a lot of money, but we did not have reason to believe we'd get it cheaper elsewhere and we had confidence in the provider. It was done sooner than the date we thought and looked great. Clean-up was obviously really good since we couldn't tell there was any mess. I still see the places where the tack strip from the carpet was, but our guests over the weekend never commented, so maybe it's because I knew they were there. Dan gave good instructions and suggestions on how to care for the hardwood. The smell of the stain and polyurethane stayed for several days, so anyone wanting this service should plan for that as I don't expect it can be helped. Overall, we are very happy.

Dave and Dan started by installing three rooms of pre-purchased hardwood floors, then came back to sand the existing hardwood floors in addition to the new floors. After sanding they put down three coats of urethane to provide a clear natural look and feel to the floors. After the third coat the floors just did not have the shine or luster that we expected. Dave came back to discuss the issue. He wanted us to be happy with the work so he put down a fourth coat of urethane. The fourth coat did the trick and the floors have a nice shine to them. There was no extra charge for the additional work. I would highly recommend Flooring Specialist for any flooring projects and will hire them again for a future flooring project.

Communication was initiated by phone and subsequent communications was done by email. Contractor arrived on time and provided a detailed written quote and the three days the job would be completed. Over the three days, contractor arrived on time and completed the job exactly as he had outlined and for the exact quote. Contractor was clean and professional. He cleaned his work area each day. The finished product is beautiful. I would very highly recommend his services.

The job went well and the work was excellent. I am very happy with the results. The only negative was that I was left to do some of the finish work (quarter round) because of scheduling. Wasn't charged for that work, but had to line up another contractor to do it since I didn't have the time myself to do it before move in day.

Our experience with Flooring Specialists was excellent from beginning to end. We called to schedule a measure and estimate, and they came out three days later and had an estimate in our Inbox within 24 hours. Dan was incredibly pleasant, polite, and professional during the estimate stage of the project. On the day the project started, three men showed up to begin work. Dan and his two partners presented themselves professionally and competently. They didn't hesitate to remove the carpet for us, even though we hadn't originally asked them to do so. When we removed the carpet, we found several rotted areas where our tenant had allowed her pet to pee through the carpet repeatedly. The smell was horrible, and I was mortified. Dan and his partners didn't bat an eye, though. They said it wasn't even the worst they've seen. Dan provided me with an on-the-spot estimate of what it would take to remove and replace the boards. He promised to try to match the new wood to our original 1950's wood as closely as possible. Once they set to work, I left to accomplish a few tasks. I was completely astonished upon my arrival. The floors looked fantastic, and I couldn't even tell where they had replaced boards. I was so excited about the project that I'm hiring them to do the floors in the new home we just purchased, as well. I'm afraid Flooring Specialists has ruined: I never knew it could be so simple and cost-effective to refinish our hardwoods. Now I'll never want to live with carpet again. :)
