The whole experience was wonderful. Everyone involved was professional, courteous of us and our property. The project manager, Mike McDonald was great at projecting the time line and in scheduling the different workmen and working on the remodel. The workmen left the worksite as clean as possible every night when they left. We were helped by Peg Downham with choices of materials and colors. Everyone was a craftsman in his specialty. We had options for cabinets, but went with their suggestion of Zinn cabinets. We could not be happier. And when doing any type of work like this, from remodeling to building a house, remember. You truly get what you pay for. Don't settle or think you are getting "a deal." You might regret it later.

Zinn Cabinets had plans on how to remodel our kitchen and we used Downham to do all the work except install the new Zinn cabinets. We were very pleased with the work as they were on time every day and work with us when we had any questions. They had the kitchen completed in less then seven weeks and we had it tore out down to the studs. They rewired and had all new plumbing installed. We couldn't have been more pleased with there work. They help us pick out all the different items need for the remodel like the floors, new back door, moving an access door to a different opening, all the appliances, redoing the woodwork. Peg Downham was a pleasure to work with and always answered our telephone calls in very timely manor. Mike McDonald was in charge of the actual work and we could not of found a better person to work with on a day to day bases.

We had our kitchen completely remodeled. The house is 97 years old and they took the walls back to the studs and the ceiling down to the lathing. A door was removed from one end of the wall and reinstalled at the other end. The kitchen was completely rewired with several new circuits and several circuits that were exposed in the other room were brought up to code The plumbing was completely redone to bring up to code. They put up all new drywall and installed new hardwood floors. A new backdoor was installed with a new screen door. Downham Custom Homes could not be better to work with they put the customer first. Mike Mac Donald was the person leading the job and he was fantastic to work with he always kept us informed. Peg Downham was great at getting us a list of suppliers to use for the remodel. We were told that we could use anybody for lighting, floors, and appliances and found that who ever we used had nothing but good things to say about Downhams. All the crews they used were very courteous and very knowledgeable. The painter made sure all colors and stains were first approved by us before using them. The dry wallers were very good as they match a design in the sun room on the walls when we moved the door. The electricians were great as they made sure that everything was done right and up to code. The plumber always let us know when water was going to turned off and kept it a minimum and was very good at rerouting the new lines to keep storage space under the sink. I would use Downham Customs homes again without hesitation as they \were dream to work with. The Downham Team will be on speed dial in our home!
