+ -1 moreThe estimate was fine but because the home warranty company we use, which also recommended Dave Taylor Electric, could no longer stand behind their recommendation and would therefore not cover any repair costs, we went with a different company. The estimate we received from the other company was comparable to that which Dave Taylor Electric provided, but the other company was much more responsive.
Description of Work: It was late December and was very cold outside. We came home from Christmas vacation to discover half the electricity in our home was not working and that our furnace was effected - our house was freezing. We ended up calling Dave Taylor Electric to come repair/replace a problem within the meter base. There was no response for a while because people were out for the holidays. Fortunately the electric company applied a temporary fix, otherwise we would have had no heat. Eventually a week or so later someone from the company came to our home to provide an estimate.

+ -1 moreOur original service to the house was unsafe and I had received estimates from three electricians almost 2 years before I got the work done and Dave Taylor was the lowest and the one I felt best about. After that time he was still willing to honor the original estimate which I was not expecting. I thought they did a fine job. I know they ran into a few problems, but were still able to complete the work in a day and honored the estimate price. The took care of arranging the pre and post inspection as well as picking up the building permit for me. I would use them again.
Description of Work: Repaired and replaced entire electrical service to the house, including new breaker box and service pole.
