Quality depends on if you get their “A” team or not. The painters are friendly; the owner chooses to provide poor customer service when there are problems. We built a new home in 2018 that they painted and we are still waiting for small touch ups or missed areas to be painted. The owner actually complained to me about it when questioned. Fast forward to today- Just had a large entertainment cabinet built for a large television and the contractor hired Brooks to paint the entertainment center. In the process of painting the cabinet the one month old TV was damaged and Brooks will take no responsibility, going so far as to tell me his employee saw me touch the TV so I could have broke it, like I’m trying to pin something on them. His last bit of advice was it’s new so my insurance should pay for it. If you want to roll the dice and hope you get the “A” team, and don’t care if the owner ignores problems and likes to argue with you, hire Brooks. It’s a shame because several of the guys do good work, but I’d rather work with a customer focused business even if it cost more.

They were professional and on time. They cleaned up after themselves and I use them on all my projects both commercial and residential.

The Interior painting included Living Room, Entry, Office, Dining Room, Stairway, Upstairs Hall, Upstairs Bath and 2 Bedrooms plus all ceilings. This job was completed in a 2 week period of time and we had asked for a quote several times. He came highly recommended, so we began the work without a quote (as Chad Brooks kept promising a quote to be delivered daily saying he was so busy finishing painting for Purdue rental properties). We finally received pricing 1/2 way through the job. Specific paint colors were requested along with specific paint finishes and definitely requesting 'no flat paint' on the walls. The "trim" paint color was to be Dover White and it was done in a much brighter white. After completion, we called Chad Brooks to our home to point out all the numerous areas that had not been 'prepped or sanded' and areas of excess paint creating very sloppy edges. Plus it was pointed out that none of the windows had been scraped from drips and paint on the glass. Many of the window edges that were concealed by the window being closed had not been painted. After about 6 weeks of completion, the areas 'caulked' were separating and pulling apart. This includes areas where the walls meet the ceiling and where walls/ceiling meet wood casings or beams. Chad Brooks returned to the house in early November to see the problems with the caulk and we were told that he had used the BEST Caulk from Sherwin Williams Paint with a 55 year warranty. He said he was too busy to think about repairing any of the caulk and would contact us after the Holidays at the first of the year. We heard nothing from Chad Brooks and began trying to contact him. We left him 4 voice messages on his cell phone and sent him an email to the address on his web site. During that period of time, when we were trying to contact him, we did have the Sherwin Williams Store Manager and District Manager come to the home to verity that the caulk that was used for our painting was their product. They had no record of the caulk but did have the paint on record that was used to paint our home. It was our understanding they were trying to contact Chad Brooks on our behalf. At this point in time we have not heard from Chad Brooks. Finally, we have sent a certified letter on February 19, 2014 to his address and have not had any return receipt at this point. The Chad Brooks Web site endorsed by Central Indiana BBB, advertises a 1 year warranty on labor and a 25yr warranty on his painting. In order to resolve this issue, we would like an entire refund and we will find someone else to correct the issues with the caulk and repaint.
Description of Work: We hired the Brooks Painting company to do interior/exterior painting on a 75 yr old home .

When we called Chad--who came highly recommended--he came over for the estimate exactly when he said he would (we have heard of other painters just not showing up at all!). He dropped off the estimate the next day. That weekend, once we had a quote from another painter, we hired Brooks' painting for the job. They finished the job in 1 1/2 days. They were professional and polite--even nice, which was a treat for me as I frequently work from my house. To this end, they made sure their music wouldn't bother me, and we just lovely people to have around. And on top of this, they did a fantastic job. The house looks wonderful. I will be using them for all our painting (the do exterior painting as well). Can't beat the price, the quality, or the people. Great experience!
Description of Work: Chad's crew painted our foyer, kitchen, both bathrooms, and home office.
