Very well. They estimated 4 days to do the job but they finished it in 3 days. Cleaned up any mess ( saw dust or dirt) right away. The saleman was very nice and explained everything and was true to his word. He didn't use any high pressure tactics.

I want to start out by saying the salesman that works for Best is a low pressure friendly guy who took to time to explain his product to us. That being said the problems came with the estimates. After a visit to his office, he came to our house to measure our windows and door to give us a estimate. It ended up higher than the price I was given at his office. I gave him a pass on this because he had not physically been to my house to measure the door and windows himself. When he did get to my house to measure he said the door was going to be $2300 MORE than the figure he gave me at the office because he thought I wanted a different door. I asked him to go ahead do the measuring and email me a formal estimate anyway. A couple days later he did, and guess what? He apologized and said he miss figured again. The windows were going to cost around $1000 more than the verbal estimate he gave me after he measured and the door was going to be $500 more that he originally quoted. (it had already gone up $2300 + 500 more). I got another estimate from a highly rated competitor north of Indianapolis who sells the EXACT door for $1300 less installed. The competitors windows were also about $1000 less with higher efficiency ratings, triple pane glass and a lifetime warranty. Like Best, the window manufacture is not a fly by night company either. They have been around since 1944. (I will review them later). To sum it up I could not go with Best for three reasons. First, the ever changing estimate which, in the end was about $2300 more than the competition. Secondly, a relatively short warranty on the windows when compared to what others are offering in the same price range. Finally, lower efficiency ratings across the board on the windows when compared to the ones I purchased. Why pay more for less? Is Best a terrible company in my opinion, no. But I would definitely get estimates from other places with similar quality windows and doors before considering them. As a footnote: I did contact Best after I got the emailed estimate and explained I found a competitor who would install the EXACT same door for "quite a bit less" and asked if there was any confusion in the door I wanted. I never received a response.

Our window would not close properly and we could not figure it out. Bill came and "fixed" it in less than 2 mins (the outer upper panel slid down and prevented the lower panel from closing). He gave a bunch of useful advice on the subject of window maintenance and repair and left. I wanted to write him a check as a token of gratitude, but he gracefully declined. A genuinely nice man, with a kind of old-fashioned integrity.

We had attempted to order a large window through this company for a bathroom remodel. A visit to our home by a sales rep (Bill) occurred late last year to inspect the area and determine what our options were. We subsequently visited the business this year and spoke with the owner (Merle) to make our final selection. When the actual remodel began in June, we contacted the sales rep and he assured us that everything was in place. When the remodel had progressed to the point where we were ready to schedule the installation, we contacted the sales rep and he informed us that we had never signed a sales agreement and the window hadn't been ordered. They could only order the window with a signed agreement and partial payment. Unfortunately, this wasn't communicated during our phone call to make sure everything was in place. After signing the agreement and providing a partial payment, the order was finally placed - the bathroom window needed to be tempered glass, which Best ordered from a company in Indy. We had to wait a couple of weeks for Best to receive the tempered glass. When we called to see if the glass had been received, they informed us that there was a defect in the glass and they needed to reorder. Two additional orders both resulted in glass with defects and our remodel had already come to a grinding halt. We asked Best about the quality control of the company they ordered tempered glass from and they didn't really have a response. We felt that this was very poor customer service and we didn't know if/when Best would be able to deliver a window, so we cancelled the order. We did receive a timely refund. Both the owner and sales rep were personable and seemed quite knowledgeable about windows, but they weren't able to deliver and seemed almost nonchalant when asked about miscommunications, follow-up and quality.

After shopping several major brands and getting several quotes, they provided by far the best value. They're vinyl window is the sturdiest and most energy efficient product I found. The guys are great to work with and quite patient with do-it-yourselfers.

The men that came to install our doors and windows were courteous and efficient each and every time they came to our home. The salesman didn't try to talk us into buying the windows and the doors, the windows and doors spoke for themselves. We were told about the doors and windows in matter of fact terms. The construction is excellent, they have cut down on the outside noise. The windows don't allow our furniture to fade due to sunshine. All and all, an excellent company to work with. I would highly recommend them to anyone in Lafayette. Please ignore the dollar amount, I don't remember the exact cost of our windows because they were purchased over a period of several years.

They were totally responsive to our requests for quote and for follow-on delivery and installation. We are totally satisfied with our remodeled front entrance to our home. The Rasmusons

the sales rep was very friendly and not high pressure at all. i had to reschedule my installation due to an emergency and they were very understanding. the crew showed up at the exact time they said they would be here. they explained everything they were doing step by step and answered any questions i had... i love the windows and door that was installed. they are very high quality windows and door. i could feel and hear the difference that the windows and door has made. can't wait to see the savings i will have on my electric bill next month.

This company was very good to deal with, even though we ultimately did go through with the purchase. They also manufacture locally, which is appealing. The salesman was low pressure and said he would never bother us again unless we contacted him, and they haven't. Ultimately we just decided we didn't have the money for the project.

I contacted Best and they sent Bill over to see what we needed as far as size and style of windows. He put together an initial quote in a few days. We asked for a couple of alternate tweaks of the original ideas and had 4 different quotes within a week. We compared with other companies we had contacted and decided to go with Best. They built the windows (2 very large, 2 medium and 4 small) within about 3 weeks and started the installation on time and finished on time 2 days later. They did good cleanup and Bill did good followup for feedback.

The salesman not only gave us a brochure, he invited us to their showroom to see computerized renditions of the options we were considering and view actual samples of materials. Since we were also thinking of changing the door color, he loaned us a color chip so that I could get a quart of paint and test out the color on the existing door. We paid 25% down. The unit was delivered and installed 6 weeks later.
