Our rates are competitive but reasonable and every job is treated like it is our own.
Brandon Argy (business owner) was very nice and polite. He showed up everyday on time. Unfortunately our floor had a factory finish and while trying not to get too deep the sanding machine got too deep and damaged the surface which left us to sand down deeper than planned. Then the wood was of different species and we did not like the “patch work” effect. We decided that we had to go with a stain that matched the darkest color of the wood. Unfortunately he had already sealed the floor so we had to sand it again and the sanding tool severely damaged the floor again. Brandon tried to hand sand the damaged area and reapply the stain. There were dark and light stained areas so he had additional staining. During the last stain application the crew got stain all over the house. It was on most wall base trim, many of the walls, the tile floor, on rugs and carpet. At that point we stopped the work with Argyll LLC. Mr Argy did provide is insurance agents information to allow us to file a claim. Unfortunately the insurance only covered the cost of paint, painter, rugs, and toilet set for a total of $775. Argyll LLC insurance company would not pay anything toward the wood floor replacement. The project started in Oct-Nov 2020 and we severed work with Argyll in Dec 2020. We did get a new floor installed by another contracts for $5K and the work was done in 4 days. Personally we fell Mr Argy just got in over his head when the sand machine severely damaged the floor multiple times. With the final stain application his crew showed absolutely no respect to us by leaving our home with stain all over the wall, trim, etc.
Description of Work: My solid oak wood floor was to be refinished.
