We visited their store in Lafayette the end of October and to date we haven't heard from them to even do a measurement. They told us they would contact us and be down in a week, after 3 weeks I called them. They said they were running about 3 weeks behind but this is the 27th of Nov. and still no call. Very bad customer service and I am now looking for another company to do business with.
Description of Work: We wanted to replace our gas logs and get a custom door made. We were spending around $2500.00 on this project.

Gas fireplace was not always lighting when switch was activated. I called for service. The gentleman that answered was very nice but said that they were very busy at the time and he had no one available to look at it....he took my name and number & promised to call back within two weeks. He did call back & we set up an appointment. He was prompt, carefully explained what was wrong and fixed it. It has been over a month now & fireplace working just fine. We have done business with this company for many years and are always pleased with their work! Highly recommend them........
Description of Work: Replaced the pilot assembly on our gas fireplace.

Description of Work: Hard to get these people to return a call or respond to a customer request! Called several times to set up an appointment to service a gas fireplace. They never showed. The fourth time I called, they said I wasn't home when they returned my call. I have a cell phone so I'm always "home". Then they said they confused my appointment with someone else. Finally got someone into the house but he could not complete the job. I called the next day and was promised he would contact me in the next few days. It's been over a month now and no call. They must not need these pesky customers. Avoid at all costs. They don't need your business.

First of all, he DID NOT buy this unit from us. Yes, it took awhile to get to him but... OUR customers come first. Since there is NO ONE else that will even touch this unit he is lucky we did. He called in the busiest time of year. In our business you have to be trained. We cannot hire people off the street to help in our busy season. We work 7 days a week from September to January just to keep up. We tried bringing in help and all we did was fix their work. We are willing to help anyone but...sometimes they do have to be patient. Our biggest problem is that people who do not buy their products from us expect us to be there within a week. It doesn't work that way. We have been in business since 1966 because we take care of OUR customers.

The service man treated us like we were morans. Saying that's the only way to get that thing to draw right. And it can't be done any other way....
Description of Work: Our woodstove wasn't drawing as good as we thought it should. Our great room has a vaulted ceiling. Our wood stove sets in the middle of a V shaped brick wall. The stove pipe extends up from the stove about 3 feet then curves into the brick wall, then into the chimney. Their solution was to take the pipe straight up, punching a hole in the ceiling and putting a big metal stove pipe in front of our brick chimney. GOOD GRIEF!!

First of all THIS IS NOT OUR UNIT NOR DID WE INSTALL IT!!! (Incorrectly, I might add!) Sometimes when we go out to help someone in this situation they do not like what they are told and blame us! They do not like to be told they did it incorrectly. We are only trying to help them so that if they have a fire their Insurance Company will pay the claim. In their situation they would not because it was installed wrong. It was a dangerous situation. She can give us a bad grade but...we did not charge them a dime. We can't help they didn't like the truth.

Description of Work: We decided to replace our cast gas iron stove. A Fire's Place offers a wide range of manufacturers and models across a price range. Karl came to our home to assess our needs. Based on his assessment, we chose a Hearthstone stove. Today, Karl and Pedro installed the new stove. They were precise and focused as they installed the chimney and stove. They cleaned up their work area as they worked. Even though it was a warm day, Karl operated the stove to ensure all was correct before they departed.

THIS IS NOT OUR UNIT. We were good enough to go and try to help her with her situation where no one else would. Our customers come first. Our biggest problem is people who buy material from a business that provides NO service or no one to talk to that can even help them and then they expect us to run right over there. In our busy time ~our customers come first. We are happy to help when no one else will but they have to be patient and uncderstand that we are trained and no one else can do our jobs. We work 7 days a week in the busy season and there is only so much we physically can do. At least they don't have to throw away their unit!
