JML Electric

Jeff overhauled my grandmother's old 1800's home back in 2019. We've never had a problem! We trust his work and know you can't hire just anyone off the street who isn't 100% educated in electrical work and who pays strict attention to today's codes.

JML may very well provide an excellent product, but we'll never know. During their visit to our building to review our needs and prepare a quote, they asked the right questions and from the conversation, verbally proposed an approach to the work that made excellent sense, but when it came time to respond, they failed miserably. It took 2-3 weeks to finally obtain a one page written quote, after having to make two calls to inquire as to the status of the quote, and then multiple phone calls to attempt to obtain additional written materials for the quote, including their insurance certificate and evidence of licensure. After much phone discussion as to what additional quotation materials we required, where the materials would be emailed, and so on, JML ultimately failed to deliver those materials after several more phone calls, even though having promised to provide those materials by certain dates. Although we were very interested in having JML do the work, after having been impressed by their quotation visit, we were finally forced to pursue other contractors.

JML Electric was excellent! They were able to come the next day, arrived promptly, took care of the issue quickly, and did not charge me the full service call fee due to how quickly they were able to complete the job. Extremely professional and honest!

They did an excellent job. Arrived on time and did more than I expected. This is the second time I have used JML. I would not hesitate to have them do another job for me.

Light was off center, the person who came to give the estimate did not come to do the work or check the work after it was done. Spouse did not like the outcome of the work.

We called for an estimate because we bought a foreclosed property. We needed to have the electric checked out to make sure it was safe. JML Electric came out and gave us an estimate for $18,600.00 and also told us everything needed to be replaced and brought up to code and we would also have to put in fire alarms. I ended up talking to some church friends who recommended a local electrician who we hired. I basically got a list of supplies needed from him and spent roughly $400.00 for supplies. This was for a home built in 1941. He was able to change out everything from a 2 wire system to a 3 wire system in about 4 days. His bill was $838.46. I paid him $900.00 He did an excellent job and was very amenable to any ideas or suggestions we had. We were thrilled. Needless to say we did use JML Electric and believe they thought we would use them because we are older.

Arrived on time, installed flood light and explained how to adjust light to cover area I wanted lit. Completed job in 15-20 minutes. Very personable & professional.

I asked for an estimate. Three men came to the door with a ladder and tools, I told them what I needed and they immediately installed the fixture, went to the garage, checked the fan and gave me the bill. I did not get an estimate before they did the work and their assessment of the garage fan was inadequate.

It went really good. They were outstanding. They were very receptive to our needs and getting the job done to fit excatly as we wanted.

My mom passed away in May and we were selling her house. My sister and I live out of state and and had no experience with any local electricians. I found JML Electric via Angie's List and reviews were positive. They were also recommended by All-Pro Plumbing, who was also doing work on the home. I contacted them via phone and they were great to work with. They agreed to provide an estimate for repairs needed to sell the home and were willing to work with the realtor handling the sale for access to the home. They were very thorough with the estimate and were willing to explain why each repair was needed and detail the cost of each. They were very flexible when scheduling to do the work and were willing to meet our tight timeline.

Three individuals arrived on time. The work was discussed and assignments were given out. We discussed where the outlets needed to be placed and how long the job would take. Within about 4 hours all the work was completed. They also told me that if the hot tub installers needed any electrical assistance, for me to call them.

The price was pretty good and we haven't had any trouble with their work. They did a good job with being responsive. They were punctual but didn't do well with cleaning up. I would use them again in the future.
