His quality and craftsmanship was phenomenal. He even had a cleaning service come in after and clean up the mess. Mike did a wonderful job.

All of Mike's work is really nice. He can crank out his project pretty quickly, then has additional men install, paint/stain, etc., and can provide referrals for additional work - tile, counters, etc. I have been friends with his wife for several years and feel I know her and Mike well. They are honest and trustworthy people. If there are problems or delays, Mike will let you know. He is very creative, is more than capable of seeing a vision and offering suggestions where you need help in coming up with a design, or suggesting ways to improve the project. He truly wants to please his customers. I will not hesitate to contact him in the future for more projects and would not hesitate to recommend him to others for their projects.

l met with Mike to determine the function for each space and he suggested ideas to achieve that function. For example, the study built-ins for maximizing file storage and overall work use, the bar to accommodate a dishwasher, small refrigerator and soda fountain. The art gallery hall to include the moldings of the whole space not just the gallery wall. I appreciated his team's work ethic and attention to detail. I will certainly call them again and recommend Ideal Carpentry to my friends.

Mike Jessup (Ideal Carpentry) was referred to us by an interior decorator who is very good and has a great reputaion for finding very good work at a reasonable price. Mike has made custom cabinets and a working area for our laundy room, custom eat in kitchen benches and crown modling for us. My Mom used him for a whole system of cabinetry and storage in her office and was extremely happy with the work and so are we. Mike designs and really looks at how to improve things most efficiently and economically. He thinks of ergonomic issues that we wouldn't havce and is maticulous in his work!

He was very savvy about this, and easy to work with. He was always punctual and followed up as promised. He offered ideas and was focused on doing the job right. This project required many visits to get the details right since it was a custom job and we were learning as we went. We were very happy with his service and will definitely use him in the future! They showed up in their truck with all the equipment ready to roll. It went much faster than I expected and I observed the team making careful considerations as they went along to ensure it was done right. When they were done they cleaned up well and made sure we were happy.

Mike worked with my wife while I was away (as a surprise) to get these small projects done. He loves to work with wood and it shows. In the end we had some beautiful work done within our budget. We had used mike in the past and my wife found him very easy to work with as well. We have other projects in the future that we will use him for also. We would strongly recommend him for your projects large or small!

Our stairway is the 1st thing you see when entering our house. The bannister and posts did not match our wood floors, and the wooden slats were chipped and peeling. We were having a huge crowd for Thanksgiving and wanted to get rid of the eyesore. Our decorator recommended re-staining the bannister and replacing the wooden slats with wrought iron and gave us Mike's contact info. Mike came out the day after we called and gave us a very reasonable estimate. The decorator wanted a specific "pattern" for the railings, and Mike came out again to the house again so he could map out what she wanted. Our time frame was extremely tight as the iron had to be ordered, but he fore-warned us that this would be the case. He held his supplier's feet to the fire to make sure the iron came in on time and moved heaven & earth to get it installed the day before Thanksgiving. He did an AMAZING job -- now our entryway looks like one you'd find in a decorator's magazine!! His price was very affordable. We plan on having him come out and build some built-in bookcases (after we pay off this most recent round of home improvements!!) Would DEFINITELY recommend him for anyone considering any type of carpentry project.
