Description of Work: Took out and replaced front porch and small sidewalk. Power washed and sealed driveway.

Description of Work: We had our driveway extended and widened. We have noticed that when it rains, water pools between our existing driveway and the addition. I have called and emailed pictures to the owner about the problem. He promised to come look at it but never showed up and has not responded to further contact. I hope the pooling water doesn't cause us problems in the future.

Description of Work: A large tree root pushed up a section of our sidewalk. Two workers came and removed the concrete section, then came back and replaced the sidewalk after the tree and roots were removed by another contractor.

Description of Work: We purchased a home that ended up needing extensive regrading... and in that process, this company had to rip out an existing sidewalk (ended up there was also an initial sidewalk that had been poured over that needed to come out as well) and took off an existing front porch. Repoured reconfigured porch and sidewalk. They both look great and the company took into account the drainage issues when repouring the new sidewalk. We had never had concrete work done on a sidewalk before so were not sure what kind of price to expect, but the job was so worth to good work that they did.

Description of Work: I contacted Brett Metzinger's company to replace my badly damaged driveway, front walkway and step to house after finding his information on Angie's list.. He responded immediatley with a detailed estimate. Once I accepted his bid, he gave me a target date for completion. The permit was delayed a week by the township and he advised me of the change in date. I appreciated the communication and follow through. The work was completed in one day - demolition to pouring of new concrete. It looks great. Several indviduals have stopped to ask who did the work. I would highly recommend Metzinger Construction for concrete work.

Description of Work: We had to have the sill plate on the front of our home replaced. It had been damaged over the years by water leaking into the foundation. This entailed tearing out the front porch, removing and replacing the seal plate and pouring a new front porch. In addition to the normal process of completing this work, our home is in a historic district in Indianapolis which requires pre-approval from the IHPC before any work can be done. Brent provided a complete overview of what would happen and the procedures and followed through exactly.

Description of Work: They tore out and replaced a front and back porch that had settled and cracked and replaced a broken sidewalk.

Description of Work: Replaced cedar strips in existing patio, tore out two old steps off of screen porch and poured new concrete steps/landing in late October. I was initially satisfied with the work -- not a great job (various minor issues related to missed appointments, cut tv cable, splattered concrete on house, rough edges) but acceptable for the price. When the ice piles finally melted off the steps in February 2011 (only 4 months later), one of the new concrete steps had significant chipping and spalling (quarter size). We did not use ice melt or salt on the new concrete. There are now over two dozen damaged chips on both the flats and step edges. Most of them show boxwood leaves (from our nearby bush ) embedded in the concrete. It seems that the final concrete coat had leaves combed into the finish that were hidden until we hit a freeze/thaw cycle and the concrete has now popped the leaves up leaving chips in the steps. Not only does is this visually unappealing, the structural integrity of the concrete is suspect particularly as we go through more winters and freeze/thaw cycles.

Description of Work: Our sidewalk from the street to the front door and the porch was replaced, the replacement used colored cement and had a brick pattern pressed into it.

Description of Work: I used Metzinger Construction to pour a 20 ft. by 14 ft. concrete stamped and stained patio for me. They also graded my lawn and put a rock by the patio. I used them again two months later to pour some concrete in my driveway to extend the third car driveway to make it straight.
