The schematics provided on the internet for the model i had showed that there was no separate parts for different serial numbers. I found another service provider who fixed the problem (a clogged drain) within an hour. AAble Appliance people, especially Aaron, are my new go-to guys for such repairs.
Description of Work: I called Sears to have my Frigidaire Affinity washing machine repaired, it did not drain or spin properly. They sent out a repairman who proceeded to tell me that without the model number and serial number they could not even identify the problem. Fortunately, or not, my dryer was also in need of repair and the model and serial numbers were available.

Called on August 22nd for service for a dryer. They said they could not get to me until September 5th. On the 5th the guys shows up. tells me my controls are burnt and he has to order parts. in the meantime he dumps all the lint out of the hose and leaves it on my floor for me to clean up. He sets up another appointment for the next Saturday a week later. Parts never made it before then, so the guy that comes has to set up another appointment for the next Saturday. I get the parts. On saturday I get a phone call two hours after they're supposed to be at my house and they apologize but they will have to set the appointment up again for the next monday because someone called in sick. at this point I have lost 2 days of work because of sears. So it's the next monday, I don't receive a phone call telling me when they will be here, so I go up to the store which is literally 1 minute from my house. I get back 5 minutes later and there's a sticker on my door saying they were sorry they missed me. I then get on the phone with service and tell them I want a technician here today. They didn't call me to say they were coming so I had no inkling at all what time they were coming. Service on the phone tells me they are sorry but they can't send the technician back and that I would have to schedule yet again for a week later. I WILL NEVER SHOPS SEAR AGAIN. STILL NO DRYER A MONTH LATER WITH A WARRANTY.

i have an appointment for August 13th from 8-5 lets see if they call or for that matter show up!
Description of Work: we purchased around $5000.00 worth of appilances for our kitchen. The dishwasher was acting funny and bubbles were coming out so i called and made an appointment for repair. they never showed up. fortunatly, it began to work again!! In June, the top buttons quit all together so I made an appointment again.. and told them to call 30 minutes before the time scheduled and i can meet him. He called when he was at my house adn told me if i couldnt come right then that he was leaving and i would have to reschedule. Tdoday i just called and remade the appointment and asked her if i could set a specific time due to work schedules and she said no it can be anywhere between 8 am and 5 pm... i bought an extended warrenty also and feel like i just waisted 5k on something that is never going to be fixed! i will never buy another thing from sears and now understand why Kmart had to buy them out!

They were very prompt. I used them b/c they offered a warranty and a credit. I was satisfied with the work completed.
