Front doorway of my house is solid, paneled stained wood door with matching stained woodwork for side and top decorative type windows. Problem was that the entryway was/is exposed to direct sunlight from noon until sunset which over time basically ruined the entryway (to the point of warping veneer on the side panels) as well as damaging the door itself. As I built the house in 1992 and seldom used the front door myself, I let it go for 18 years (no excuses). Had a couple of outfits look at the doorway before contacting John--and before using Angies List--and the responses were 1. didn't want to touch it as too labor intensive or 2. here is a quote then a no show. Contacted John Everage Construction late last Fall and we agreed due to weather considerations to hold off until this Spring (doorway couldn't have been damaged any further anyway). So, again contacted John in March; he came out again, measured doorway, etc. and gave me a quote (I had decided to have it painted instead of stained). We agreed and John showed up when he said he would, on time, and completely sanded the front entryway, removed the front door for sanding, wood repair, resanding; he then commenced painting (primer and 2 coats paint); as I was here the entire time, I know it was very labor intensive over a period of several days. Clean up and touch up was great! Front entry way now looks good plus saved several thousand dollars by not replacing front with a like entryway. Will not hesitate to use again should the need arise.
Description of Work: John sanded and painted the front entry way into my house. Sound simple but it wasn't as the front entryway into my house consists of a solid wood, paneled, stained door, and matching stained wood encasings for decorative windows on the sides, and top, of the door. See below.

It was a great experience. He was absolutely fantastic. It was a family-owned company, and it was a father and son. He gave real personal service and came in under the estimate. We had a leak in our chimney. He quoted $1000 and came in at about $900. He was very professional and exceeded my expectations.
Description of Work: John Everage Construction did waterproofing on our chimney.

John did a fantastic job. He showed up when he said he would and did a fantastic job. We are already working to have him come back for a larger project. He did the work for a more than fair price as well.
Description of Work: Had a piece of trim that had dryrotted on an outside window replaced. Multiple drywall patches done inside.

Mr. Everage was polite, punctual and professional. He did everythng that we discussed, and, the final cost was actually less than what he originally quoted! You have to love that!

Our new cedar closet is nothing short of outstanding quality. The workmanship is the finest I have ever seen. You don't have to worry about him taking short cuts. He gives you your full money's worth and then some. I am going to have him install a new glass front door in our home. When John says he will be at your house on a certain day and a certain time, you can bank on it (the only exception is if he gets hung up in a traffic jam, but you will get a call from him explaining why he will be late and when to expect him). When they cleaned up it was cleaner than when they got here. Without a doubt I can whole heartly recommend John for any and all projects you might have. He does nothing but quality work.
Description of Work: Built a 10' x 7' cedar closet in the basement.

We live in Jeffersonville, Indiana and had major roof damage from the windstorm that went through in September, 2008. We had the roof replaced, but unfortunately, it leaked. After the roofers repaired their work, we had to get the ceiling repaired from the water damage that had occurred. We also decided to get some other work done at the same time. I used John Everage Construction, who is not listed in the Yellow Pages (his name is in the white pages), but gets work through "word of mouth." John was always very punctual and did an excellent job. He was very honest and would point out things that we could do ourselves to save money, and gave us the option whether to do them or have him do them. We were very comfortable in handing him the house key and leaving for the day. This was a bonus in itself, since we work full time and had few vacation days remaining to "baby sit" repair personnel that was in the house. The ceiling turned out beautiful, as did the drywalling and trim that he did. I will definitely use him again.
Description of Work: Replaced part of ceiling and insulation due to water damage, tore out paneling and replaced it with drywall, put up crown molding, window trim and baseboard, painted drywall and replaced a ceiling fan.
