Caffrey's Flooring

I was careful to begin with one location and when I saw what an absolutely fabulous job Don and his crew did then I had them do the other townhome both floors and staircases in both. After that I sought him for a home that my daughter owned and the floors in that (1907) shotgun home I thought were not salvagable dark pet stains and burns.When he finished the job I couldn't believe my eyes, the place simply sparkled and Don even replaced wood that was beyond redemption and stained it to match. You bet I would use Don Caffrey again. He and his crew were courteous, prompt, on time and within budget with a super clean up and my places looked like new...I never thought floors could make such a difference. Paint on walls is one thing but flooring simply makes a place unique!

Donald came out with his guys and gave me an estimate to refinish the floors. He suggested a screen and coat, which I should have researched before agreeing to it. He said it was a more affordable option that wouldn't wear down our already thin floors, which are the originals in the 110 year old home. He acknowledged it wouldn't take care of the pet stains or scratches, but that it would give it a clean sheen. He did not mention that there are risks involved, such as if the floors have been cleaned with wax, the polyurethane won't stick, which I learned too late. Five months later I started to see places where the coating was bubbling up and I'm not sure what to do about it. It's getting worse and I'm afraid I'm going to have to hire someone to sand and refinish the floors, which will be more money. I won't be using this company again, even though they were very nice and professional in demeanor.

Donald and his crew did a great job installing and refinishing the hardwood floors in our house. He was very friendly, punctual and hard working. Donald went out of his way to save me money on the job. For example, he restored the floor where he could and found existing hardwood under our kitchen flooring which ended up saving me $700 on time and material. He was very honest and trustworthy. Donald is very skilled at his work. Our floor was very uneven in places and he did great job leveling it, raising it in some places and evening out bumps in others. He really went the extra mile to make sure we were satisfied. He finished the job on time and under budget. We've gotten so many compliments on our floor. Thank you Donald!

They did a great job. They put up plastic to keep the dirt and dust out of the rest of the house. They were able to accomodate a crazy construction time-table and they squeezed us in so we could walk on the floors before Thanksgving. Everyone has complimented the floors, which turned out beautifully.

Donald is great to work with and I highly recommend his work! We had one room to be floored, and had about 1/3 of the wood required to do it. He agreed to work with what we had, located matching wood, and it came together beautifully. He showed exactly when he said he would, his crew was very nice and professional, and the cost was exactly as estimated. They completely cleaned up after their work, and had a great attention to detail. We are really pleased with his work and believe that you will be too.

Don is the type of business person we are looking for he delivers what promises and goes above and beyond. My floors turned out gorgeous! I have floor vents that are an odd size and can't find replacements so they are over 50 years old I was going to paint them. Don said he knew someone who could sand blast all the old off for a very resonable price. He took them picked them and they are beautiful. Highly recommed.

From the first call to to the end of the job, Don and his team were a pleasure to work with. He promptly returned my first call, made arrangements to meet us the day after we closed, and was able to accommodate a tight schedule. The floors had seen a lot of years of being lived on, the refinishing and restoration exceeded my expectations. The floors look great.

Mr. Caffrey came to our home for a consultation on Friday and said he could start the following Monday. He arrived exactly when he said he would and brought his assistant with him and they started immediately. They did an excellent job with the floors and were super professional. They cleaned up everyday when they were finished and kept the mess to a minimum. I would use them again in the future!

Mr. Caffrey was great. He returned my call promptly after I sent him a message. My floors are beautiful and he even managed to fix the squeak from a loose board that was driving me crazy. I plan on using them again in the near future to refinish my living room area.

We found Don to be very professional and his work product was excellent. He made promises and kept promises. He and his longtime assistant were courteous and responsive to our concerns and questions. Although this job was only completed about two weeks ago, we have already referred him to several friends and neighbors.

Don is an artist.Years ago I took out a wall between my livingroom and bedroom and there was no hardwood under those walls.Don entertwined new hardwood.Eventhough the LR and BR planks didn't line up,,Don was able to put in new hardwood so that you can't tell what was new or old.I had several bids,they we're the most knowledgeable and best on pricing. There are 10 companies out there that would do a good job on basic refinish but if you have any kind of problem,Don your guy.

This was the second time I have had hardwood installed by Caffrey's Flooring. The job was started on schedule and completed on schedule. We were very happy with their work. Very hard working and cleaned up work space each day. Very honest and polite.

CLASS ACT! Donald Caffrey's Flooring is a smooth operation from start to finish. Donald and the very polite and knowledgeable young man Ronnie worked in sinc. You hardly know what's happening and before you know it the floors are sanded--as dustless as dustless can be. The polyurethane 1st coat was put on one day, the second coat the next day with explicit instructions on when and how to put back the furniture and when to put any rugs down. (Two weeks after!--who knew!) My husband and I are still impressed and so very pleased with Donald Caffrey's Flooring! P.S. He told me that he also does remodeling, too. We will have him back in our house for whatever we need. Actually as I write this, Donald and I were on the phone regarding my stone fireplace: He is coming out tomorrow to clean and seal it. He showed me how it will bring out the natural colors to a very gorgeous stone fireplace.

Our kitchen floor had sustained damage underneath our refrigerator. We decided since we had to repair the floor we might as well have the whole thing refinished. Another contractor gave us a price we thought was a little high. We decided to get another estimate, checked out Angie's List and called Donald. He was very prompt, told us we needed to get the fridge checked out first to make sure that was the source of our water damage problem, which we did, and it was. The other guy didn't mention doing this so we would have sustained more damage eventually with the new floor. Donald's estimate was far below the other guy's quote. We arranged to have it done while we were out of town. Returned home and were very pleased with the job. Expected dust to be everywhere from the sanding, but none to be found. Donald is very courtious and easy to work with. Will definitely use him again when we get ready to do the living room.

I liked everything about him. He was direct to the point. He was clean. He was on time. I had a schedule and he did an excellent job. His communication was clearly there. He was really good. I recommended him to a neighbor the other day.

I got quotes for my clients and his was far below the others. He was always on time, picked up the phone everytime I called him, and the hardwood floors look amazing. My client pulled up very old carpet and discovered hardwood floors that were in horrible condition. Like I said I got a few quotes and Donald was the least expensive, but he also uses high end materials. Anyways I was shocked by how good they looked. I would highly recommend him.
