Zo Construction and Handyman

Jeff ended up rescheduling our initial estimate very last minute, which was too big of a deal (Feb. 16). We told him we were going to get a few more quotes, then decide on a contractor. Two days later we decided to work with him on our fence project while we wait for our tax refund to process for the deck portion of the work. We scheduled the fence project March 18, but he never showed up. I messaged via Angie's List, emailed, called, and texted, but never heard from him again.

Jeff came in and selected carpet similar to what we have and installed it covering all the corners and sharp edges but leaving our beautiful tile so that later we can just remove and clean the tile. Awesome job -quick- inexpensive for what was done and we appreciated how fast he accomplished this!!

Jeff did a marvelous job, purchasing and installing our dishwasher. Fixed some holes were bugs and mice could come in as well.

Jeff cane and tried to get the toys out. Snakes it... still wouldn’t go. Removed the toilet and saw no obstructions. I gave him permission to bust toilet to see if they were in the toilet and it was full of rubber duckies!! Installed a new toilet -did a quick marvelous job.

Jeff brought in a large crew and had the floor completed in 2 days. This was a very difficult project because we purchased this from an apartment complex that had no instructions on how to put it together and several pieces were broken and we didn’t think we could create the entire floor without buying more tiles. Jeff took his time and laud this out like a giant puzzle and then worked hooking them together and repairing the breaks. Thanks to him and his crew we have a professional basketball court. Just beautiful.

Jeff's team showed up and were super polite and respectful. He immediately assessed the situation and gathered up the materials to complete the job. The whole job from getting the materials to finishing took maybe 90 mins and I was expecting it to take all afternoon. The sill nosing looked great after it was completed. He concentrates on doing these sort of small repairs where most companies in his line of business will pass on a small job like mine was (and they did. Repeatedly!) We talked about some other possible jobs for the spring and summer. If I plan to hire for a job, I'll definitely start my search with Zo Construction and Handyman before contacting anyone else. I just don't know where to begin to say how impressed I was with Jeff and his crew. I have never hired a contractor before and I feel I hit the pot of gold with Jeff! First of all he came out when he said he would and he really actually acted interested in my home. I live in a 120 year old, 3 story historical home in Irvington and this was not going to be an easy undertaking!!! Jeff and his crew walked around my home, looking at the foundation, windows, guttering, etc.. unlike all the other contractors who looked at the front and gave a written estimate right then and there. Jeff came back several days later as he said he would and had a detailed written estimate that included tucking the foundation, rebuilding the porch railing, epoxying the porch and painting (hand painted 2 coats) the house and garage in the traditional 3 colors of paint that most Irvington homes have. This price was $8,125.00. For an additional 1500.00 he removed every storm window in my home (22 windows), painted the inside of the window sills, cleaned the windows and reinstalled along with caulking. He also let me pick 6-7 paint color swatches that he painted on the house to help me pick what colors I was going with. He used good treated wood that was stained for the porch railing as well.The whole crew were respectful, trustworthy, kind, organized and clean. After Jeff and his crew painted, my home it looked brand new! I feel so blessed to have hired these people and I highly recommend them to anyone! They had my garage door opener for the 3 weeks they were there and not one thing was out of place. Some of the nicest and most genuine people I have ever met. I gave a little extra for the detail and care that they put into this job as well.

Jeff did a great job on our deck right before we moved into our house. We were on a tight schedule and were hoping to get it done before move-in day, and he was able to finish the project and do a great job on our tight timeline. The work looks fantastic, and many people have commented on how nice our deck looks now after Jeff and his team's work. Jeff is very honest, hardworking and did a great job for a fair price. He is a pleasure to work with, and we would certainly like to work with him again in the future.

He did a marvelous job. He even hauled the old tenants stuff to the trash. Painted, 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, kitchen and living room and utility was all painted. No trim or doors but did an awesome.

old floor removal was more difficult than expected leaving gouges now telegraphing through the vinyl flooring since no underlayment was used. New quarter round installation was not the best. OK for a quick project where timing was mandated by other activities

They were very quick at responding and came to work on it within a week. I am very happy with the result.

Very well. He ascertained immediately what the problem was and proceeded to fix it. It took less than an hour and he was thoughtful, methodical, and pleasant.

Four other companies said they wouldn't work at that height. Jeff never batted an eye. Handled it quickly and even took care of another rotted piece that hadn't been noticed before... for the same price. Great work.

Jeff and his crew came to my house. They pull out out all the bad tiles we had just to lay our selves and put new ones in there place looking the floor together. Can’t tell you how great my wood floor looks!! More to come during this renovation.

He worked quickly and did a great job. He even found a few holes and fixed those too. Awesome company and great team.

Jeff and his group came out and replaced the entire roof within two days - did a great job, cleaned up after themselves and I couldn’t be happier.

Jeff came by and replaced the post and the mailbox resetting it back away from the road a bit but still making it accessible to the mailman but what I thought was most impressive was the opening on both sides so I didn’t have to go to the front of the mailbox and risk my life getting hit anymore. I can open it safely from the back of the mailbox. Very helpful, knew what I needed before I did and was very reasonable priced.

Jeff came in took down the old one, came prepared with a new light and replaced it quickly.

Zo Construction sent Linda out and she was amazing. She went above my expectations of just cleaning the house. She cleaned fans, spot cleaned carpets, whipped down everything and we had lots of areas high that needed dusting - such as ledges and shelves due to our architecture. She cleaned windows, tubs, sinks, toilets and anything she touched looked amazing. Wish she did this weekly. I would hire her - but she also does construction and painting.

Tenant had tried to fix light on her own and ruined the light totally. Jeff came in and replaced the light itself and was in and out in about 20 minutes. Quick and cheap! Done well. Polite and professional.
