He never got back with us with an estimate. We called several times because we really needed to have the work done and couldn't afford for him to blow us off. To this day, we have not heard a word from him.
Description of Work: The provider came to give us an estimate for the construction of a wall and closet on 5/20/15. We made several calls to him afterwards and each time he told us he was still working on it. Finally, we stopped calling and found someone else.

Jeff scraped, power washed, and painted my 3 story house. It was quite the task! His price was fair and completed the job over a few weeks. The quality of the work was very good and the house looks fantastic! I've received many positive compliments from neighbors on the work Jeff performed on my house. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Jeff for future work on my house.

It was a big waste of time and money. We gave him half down around Thanksgiving. The work was supposed to be done by March 1, then April 1, then May 1. By early May very little had been done and we had heard every excuse under the sun. We offered to pay him $3,000 for the work he had done, which we thought was generous. He said his labor & materials were $4,500 and gave us only $2,000 back. What little he did was done poorly. He laid ceramic tile down on the kitchen floor before he leveled it, so that will need to be torn up. Basically we wasted $4,500 and six months. I don't trust this guy and would never hire him again.

I have worked with Jeff in the past and all of my experiences with him have been professional and pleasant. This time I asked Jeff to repair a couple of missing shingles, fix two stooped up sinks and replace a bypass valve. He did an excellent job and gave me a very fair price. I'm excited I found someone like Jeff he really cares about providing people with great service. He called me back after 3 days to follow up on the work he did to make sure everything was ok and that there were no leaks. I have never had anyone call me back to check on his work. Nice touch!! Oh course everything was perfect.....you are a keeper Jeff! Keep up the great work!

Jeff and his crew did a great job with a large number of handyman/landscaping jobs. He committed to a date for completion and got it all done well. He was good to his word on the work provided, offered suggestions on other small problems, and removed all the trash each night. I've used him before and will have Jeff back again for more handyman work.

Jeff's personal work was fine and he seemed to know a lot about a lot of things. However, we did not feel that his employees/helpers were very thorough. They left a lot of paint on the grass, The cleaning was not thorough and missed many spots.

The main problems with this contractor is that: 1) he oversold his capabilities, and 2) he did not advise me of subs or supervise the work of subs he brought into my house. # I met with Jeff one day to go through a long list of home projects (as I recently bought a historic bungalow and was lovingly restoring it) I was looking for a skilled handyman that I could build a long-term relationship with/give consistent work to. Something I should say upfront is that I'm not a nickel and dimer. I'm not interested in getting a hundred bids and negotiating rates forever, I will gladly pay fair market price for quality work. # The project list was: 1) add cold/hot water lines and drain line from existing plumbing in basement (so the washing machine could be moved closer to the dryer.) Do the same for the double-basin utility sink. 2) reverse out the interior door of the small bathroom (currently opened in and hit the toilet) 3) remove the bathroom ceiling vent/light, so we could size it for a new one 4) install a basic storm door handle # When we met, we walked through the home and each project. He sized up the plumbing and assessed what he needed. He appeared confident. We talked, very specifically, about the door reverse out. That the DOOR STOP should be removed along with door and hinges and reversed. We specifically talked about NOT removing the entire door jamb and reversing the frame. The entire home had just been painted and this would disrupt the surrounding drywall/paint job. # I received a voicemail late afternoon from Jeff to let me know that they ran into some problems with the basement plumbing. He did not realize there was no shut off valve for the toilet (this is a 1922 home with old plumbing) so, the basement had a mini flood. He said they cleaned it up and he wold come back to finish job but to "let me know what you think of the work" once i got home and had a chance to look it over. # 1) The first thing I noticed at the front door, was that the storm door handle button wouldn't push in. It was improperly installed. Though it "technically" works, the thumb button doesn't actually press in? Likely because the piece of metal inside the door lock was not cut to the proper length. The finish on the (brand new) white handle was chipped in 2 places. sloppy job. # 2) there was a filthy bathroom light fixture thrown on my brand new (quite expensive) walnut dining table. the dirt was all over the WHITE dining chairs. seriously? you couldn't put the dirty fixture on the floor? in the tub? anywhere else! the almost funny part, is that the vent wasn't even removed from the ceiling! just the light bulb part, so that was utterly useless. # 3) the interior bathroom door was a nightmare. the exact opposite of what we agreed to. The entire door (with its wide bungalow-style trim) had been dismantledtorn out, turned around, and cobbled back together, piecemeal. The door jamb no longer met with the original hardwood floors, leaving gaps, the 1/4 round molding was removed (nowhere to be found) and not replaced. The wide door trim had huge screws in the middle of it and pieces no longer fit together. None of the door frame seams met. The drywall around the door was a mess, with gaps and dips and sloppy putty. I would share pictures if I could. The entire thing now needs to be removed and replaced with a new door, new frame, new trim, new floor molding, drywall fixes and repainted. And, what happened to my large white towel in the bathroom? disappeared. Not in the laundry, not in the trash. Weird! # 4) As soon as I opened the basement door, it smelled awful. I went down to find a pretty wet basement. The washer and utility sink had been moved to the appropriate wall and the plumbing lines looked okay. The problem was the pools of water in various places and all of the paint had peeled off the floor from being so wet. The utility faucet dripped, the pipe below the bathroom dripped. We put some buckets under them. # I called Jeff immediately and we talked through my concerns, pretty much with every service that had been done. After a lot of discussion, he admitted that he told his "helper" to do the door exactly as we talked about but when he came upstairs from handling the plumbing in the basement, the entire door (frame and all had been ripped out) he said he knew it wasn't going to go well. I don't know which freaked me out more, that he had some "sub" in the main floor of my house unsupervised, or that he didn't think to call me the moment he realized the project went wrong. I was extremely disappointed that he didn't admit this upfront, in the voicemail, but rather let me come home and find it myself. # He agreed to meet me at the house and make a plan to "make things right". We agreed the right thing to do would be for him to come back and fix the bathroom door and the leaks downstairs. At this point, at his request, I paid him for the cost of the plumbing supplies (not his labor). # Saturday morning, I wake up to a mini flood in the basement, again. which was odd because we put buckets down. Now the main supply line was leaking too. I spent so much time mopping and cleaning up on Sat, that I actually turned my water off overnight so I wouldn't have to deal with it again. On Sunday, an emergency plumber came out to fix the leaks and to fix the work that had been done. lines were not properly supported (some were curved) and no stop valves had been inserted which, apparently is a no-no for lines of this length. $300 and a BIG dehumidifier later, I finally have a dry basement with proper plumbing. And, I called Jeff on Saturday when i woke up to eh mini flood and left a detailed message. I received NO REPLY. Needless to say, I did not feel comfortable with having Jeff back to "fix" the bathroom door or anything else for that matter.

Jeff and his team cleaned my house so that I can put the house for sale. I originally hired them to do the cleaning after some repair work. Although it took longer than they originally estimated, they did not charge extra. Based on this work, I rehired them to clean my windows and blinds (more than 35). They were much cheaper than another company I got the quote for the work. They did an excellent job. My realtor was very satisfied.

I had used this contractor before on a coupon he put out. He did a pretty good job that day and I saved his name so I could hire him back to finish the rest of the wallpaper stripping and also asked about two spots in the guest bath that needed some drywall work. He gave me a quote that I thought was reasonable PROVIDED they did a good job. I wish I had been in better health when he scheduled the work, but I'd been having severe back spasms for three weeks when he called and had been on muscle relaxers and a pain prescription for only two days when he called. I'm not the type to watch over someone's shoulder (should I really have to?), so I decided it was best to keep the date and napped on the couch while they worked. When he first arrived with two other workers, they immediately began asking me for things they should have brought themselves- large black garbage bags, a broom and dustpan, and a stepladder. He did at least bring his own vacuum cleaner. They left all the full garbage bags in my trash can when they were done, filling it up so I was unable to empty my own trash that week instead of taking it with them like they should have. They dismantled my headboard from my bedframe "so they could move it" although I had gliders under all four corners. I'm not sure what the problem was there, but I helped him empty out the drawer at the foot of the bed- the largest one. That should have lightened it quite a bit. They still struggled with it. He said he would come back and put it back together for a trip charge and lunch. Lunch was taken out of the deal when he showed me that he had broken a clock I had hanging on one of the bathroom walls. (I heard it break, so it's doubtful he could have just stuffed it in the trash.) When they finished (headboard still leaning against the wall) on the second day, he asked me for a check for the full amount plus extra for his fiancé who he "loved so much" and was apparently was one of the workers. Very unprofessional. I wrote the check for the original amount. As soon as I handed it to him, I noticed that the room we were standing in wasn't completed. He said he would come back to finish it another day. He also told me to give him a call if I had any problems or complaints. The walls were not in nearly the condition that they were when I used his coupon. I called to complain and he said they would come out and smooth them out "just for me"- that they didn't usually do that. I expected to do minimal patch work myself and be able to start painting. I didn't hear from him for about a week and finally called him. I got voice mail and told him I was still waiting for him to complete his work. The next day he called and said he'd been sick, but he would have one of the other workers come back for him because he knew what had to be done. He said the worker would only be here about an hour, so I knew that they had already changed their minds about smoothing out the walls I had complained about and I would be left filling in all the gouges and sanding for days before I could ever dream about putting down a single coat of paint. The day the worker was supposed to show up came and went with no one showing up and no phone call. I called again and once more got voice mail. He sent me a text message saying the worker got lost that day and asking me to resend my address. I sent a message back that I found their stories unbelievable- literally. I did send the information just to save them one more excuse. If MY husband showed up for work without calling (TWICE) and waited for his boss to call, he would be fired! Unfortunately my husband doesn't get paid until he does the job to his bosses satisfaction. I regret now paying Jeff in full. I should have paid half or 75% and told him I would give him the rest after I had a chance to inspect all his work. I tried again tonight to call him but got only voice mail. I decided to start sanding some of the drywall he repaired to work off some of my frustrations only to find the work he did had bubbled up and would have to be redone. It was left very roughly plastered and I didn't realize how bad it was until I started working on it. He filled in 1/2 inch of drywall plaster during one day's time which is never a good idea. It should have been done in at least two or three layers. I have called and left another voice mail message, but I'm not holding my breath. When I called Angie's List, they said he was getting ready to put out more coupons. I guess he's too busy with new customers (as I once was) to finish giving good service to his current ones.

It went great! We had wet ceiling tiles in the lobby of our office after yesterday's torrential rains. Didn't know if it was the roof leaking or an HVAC unit, so we decided to call a handyman because all the roofers we called before Jeff said they couldn't get here until next week. We called Jeff this morning, and he was here this afternoon. Went up and looked at the roof and didn't see a problem. Came inside and went up into the attic and came back down saying guess he's not getting paid because it was our HVAC unit leaking. Very pleased with him, and will be using him the next time we're in the need for handyman work!

Jeff and his colleague Doug did a wonderful job on our project. They worked consistently, not even leaving for lunch. The dining room, kitchen and hall looked beautiful when they finished the painting, and we were very pleased. They knew exactly what to do to repair the water damage behind our bathroom wall, and how to make it look brand new. The kitchen cabinet is now secure from possibly falling, and looks like the original cabinet. When Jeff and Doug finished with the painting, they rehung the curtains and pictures and cleaned up after themselves, which we very deeply appreciated. We were not surprised that this project went well. We have hired Jeff for other projects and have always been pleased with his work. Will definitely hire him again.

I cannot say enough good things about Jeff's team! He "rescued" our home after a prior contractor walked off the job and left us with unfinished trim work in our kitchen prior to staging and selling our home. Hiring a qualified, professional contractor to assist with our home sale was very important and Jeff's team came through for us in a big way. We highly recommend his team; they are very service oriented and highly skilled for painting, masonry, concrete work, plumbing, lighting, and other typical handyman service requests. Jeff did the job right the first time and stuck with the overall project through to completion. Highly dependable.
Description of Work: Jeff's team provided a long list of repairs for our home including: exterior and interior painting, plumbing repair, installing new door and cabinet handles, trim repair, garage epoxy floor install and ceiling repair, lighting install and repair, masonry repair, gutter repair, and chimney cap sanding/painting

Jeff arrived on time and did a great job. We purchased the 8 hr. handyman special, so we had a list of repairs for him. He installed a new seal for the toilet. Then he replaced a small area of damaged laminate flooring. Next he repaired several areas of drywall where the tape had come loose. He also installed three bath sink faucets, and this became a difficult task due to the faucets we had chosen. He spent extra time making sure the work was done correctly, and came back the next day to finish the work. We would highly recommend using Jeff for any and all of your needed home repairs.
